They completed some work in tandem with a local body shop as part of an insurance claim and I was very disappointed in the customer service here. Every time I spoke with Tony he gave me the impression I was as part of an insurance claim and I was very disappointed in the customer service here. Every time I spoke with Tony he gave me the impression I was interrupting him. I asked them to look at a brake issue and let me know what they thought and he said they would call me without taking my number. Called back the next day to follow up, same impression from Tony, this time I made a point to give him my cell number and he assured me they would call. Waited a couple of days, hadn’t heard so I followed up again, they had looked at the brakes but they sent it back to the body shop without calling me. When I asked he made it sound like they expected the body shop to fix the brakes, which they don’t do. Certainly possible there wasn’t time to fix whatever the issue was without holding up the body shop, but due to lack of communication I’ll never know and now have to set another appointment to get the same thing looked at and hopefully fixed this time. Just overall disappointing experience. More

Leaving aside the issues with the car entirely (a separate matter), Barbara Portalea ranks among the least professional individuals my wife and I have encountered. The thing that has stuck with us is the extent to which she made us feel like she had no genuine desire to help us, and she approached each interaction with an indifference and coldness that was troubling. We have a high tolerance for businesses that aren't able to be perfect 100% of the time, but we have less tolerance for when others have such little regard for basic decency. We could not recommend Barbara Potalea less. Save yourself the heartache and please look elsewhere for professionals with a more consistent customer service track record. More
Don’t ask for service outside of Bethesda They were terrible. Felt like I was trying to deal with cable service instead of a luxury car.
