Bad experience recently! Sent my 2019 Q5 in for an unusual engine oil usage check along with a recent call back on May 17th. Took it back on May 28th, and the reason for excessive oil consumption wasn't found(no oil leaking as well). Was told to do an oil consumption test. Start to notice a slight oil leak after home(it was never before), sent the car back in after finishing the consumption test on Jun 13th. It took 25 days this time to replace the head gasket. During these 25 days, an ETA has never been given, and I have to check with the agent on a daily base to follow up on the repair. A message was sent to me on July 7th at 6:20 pm saying my car is ready for pickup. The next day, got my car picked up around 10 am. I thought the story finally had a happy ending, but I was wrong. On my way home, suddenly I received 6 warnings from the car. It was less than 5 miles away from where I picked up the car. Those warnings are related to the turn signal and brake lights, which means all my turn signal and brake lights stop working while I'm still driving! A car almost hit my back while I was making a right turn because the driver didn't see my brake light and right turn signal. Sent messages to Audi Beaverton's agent about the problem in the later afternoon but didn't get anything back, because it is a Friday. Walked in the next day(their service department works on Saturday which is not bad) and talked to a lady about my problem. She told me that there won't be anyone looking at my car today due to short of labor, but she can help me with a loaner and I can leave my car with them. Today got a message from the previous agent saying the brake light and turn signal warnings had nothing to do with the head gasket repair(by the way, the lady I've meet on Saturday said the same thing even without any inspection or check.), it was a TSB issue. I don't know if that means these warnings came out right after the repair is just a coincidence. By now, I've been told the car needs a software update, and it will fix this issue. Waiting continued. I brought our 2018 Q7 in because the panoramic sunshade would not close. I had tried a few things before I brought it in, but failed to check it one last time. It turned out it was working again (possibl would not close. I had tried a few things before I brought it in, but failed to check it one last time. It turned out it was working again (possibly fuse issue). Niki did not charge me for this because it worked right away. Other dealers would have, I'm sure. They also performed their multipoint inspection and identified a few items that need attention. I got an email with videos showing the problem areas and the cost for the repairs for each one. Very, very impressive. I really appreciate what Niki did and now rather than just taking the car to our mechanic, I will definitely consider bringing it back here for the work. More
Went for service on Thursday 6/23/22. Chad Soares gave an overview of the work to be performed and asked if I had any additional concerns. I was provided with a nice loaner vehicle. On Friday, 6/24 Chad sent me an initial inspection video taken by the service tech before service. This was a nice feature. Received a message from Chad Friday afternoon that the vehicle was ready. Great, two days early! Top marks for Chad and all the service personnel. More
