We are long time Audi owners(having bought 3 A8L's from Audi of alexandria), We had been taking in our cars for service to them over the last couple of years, and received exemplary response from everybod Audi of alexandria), We had been taking in our cars for service to them over the last couple of years, and received exemplary response from everybody at the dealership! So when it came time to replace our 2006 A8L it only made sense to give their sales team a shot and buy locally. I contacted a them through the internet and quickly got a response, and set an appointment to look at one of their existing cars. the salesman was very helpful in pointing out the features of the new model, and he was quite easy to work with . We negotiated the terms quickly and without the usual new car sales back and forth with the "manager". He got the paperwork printed up swiftly, and were out in a very reasonable time period. More
We brought in a 2006 A4 convertible with a damaged convertible top. After a week in the shop and a repair bill of $1284 we moved to Alabama (about two weeks later). Unfortunately, we did not try lower convertible top. After a week in the shop and a repair bill of $1284 we moved to Alabama (about two weeks later). Unfortunately, we did not try lowering and raising the top until we were in Alabama. When we did so, we found that the top had significant new damage to the inner liner. We took it to Jack Ingram Motors in Montgomery, Alabama and they did a thorough examination and then showed us what was wrong. We and the Jack Ingram Service staff called Audi of Alexandria about the condition of the car, but Audi of Alexandria denied they had done anything wrong. In my opinion, that makes them either dishonest or incompetent. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I think they are incompetent. Of course, since they claimed they did nothing wrong, they refused to pay any of the second repair bill. Jack Ingram's staff,on the other hand, fixed everything and gave us a price break since the damage had been done by another Audi dealer. They made a customer for life. If we move back to the Washington DC area, we will certainly not patronize Audi of Alexandria. More
They just won't take a car that has been to any other dealer. The argument is that it will not be covered by the warranty. This is unbelievable, the other dealer is also an audi dealer. So, if you move, dealer. The argument is that it will not be covered by the warranty. This is unbelievable, the other dealer is also an audi dealer. So, if you move, you are out of warranty. In addition, the service person was not very welcoming on the phone. More
My experience with all the employees at Audi of Alexandria have been nothing short of superior. They are friendly, knowledgeable and treat you like family. They are friendly, knowledgeable and effi Alexandria have been nothing short of superior. They are friendly, knowledgeable and treat you like family. They are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, and at no time do you feel like you are dealing with sales people. You get the best deal without asking and their follow-up is to be commended. I highly recommend any one who is looking to purchase a vehicle and looking for top shelf service, to start here I promise you won't go anywhere else one you get to Audi of Alexandria. You not only will not need to go elsewhere, you also will not want to. More
BEST auto buying experience ever! My Audi Specialist, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and did not pressure me at all. The whole experience was perfect, from picking up my Audi from inside the building extremely knowledgeable, patient, and did not pressure me at all. The whole experience was perfect, from picking up my Audi from inside the building on a rainy day, to him spending 1 hour going over all the options and gadgets(NEVER had that before). The price was right and the selection was plenty. I was even introduced to the Service Advisor,Paul, who took time to talk to me even though he looked busy. I am a Audi of Alexandria customer for life!! More
Bought a two years old 2002 model year Audi sedan at Audi Bought a two years old 2002 model year Audi sedan at Audi of Alexandria in the summer of 2004. I paid cash for it. After two years, Audi of Alexa Bought a two years old 2002 model year Audi sedan at Audi of Alexandria in the summer of 2004. I paid cash for it. After two years, Audi of Alexandria had still not provided me with a title for the vehicle. I had to go to civil court in Alexandria and sue them for it, which had cost me $1,500. Only after all that would they give me the title for the vehicle for which I paid cash to them years previously. Of course, I could not drive the car after a while, as it could not be registered w/o a title. BEWARE: If you want to take title to a car that you buy here at Audi of Alxandria (instead of leasing it), shop elsewhere. BTW, the Virginia state agency that was supposed to "regulate" these fricking monster car dealer fraudsters was of no help at all, as in Virginia the state colludes with the businesses it is supposed to regulate. Never again will I ever purchase anything from a Virginia-based business. They are all crooks there, apparently, condoned by the state agencies that are supposed to "regulate" them. What a cruel joke!! Oh, I forgot to say, I had heard it later that the SALES MANAGER was threatened to be whacked by at least half a dozen "satisifed customers." I also heard that their SERVICE MANAGER at the time was a real pile of crap human garbage, too. BTW, my fiance's 2004 TT Coupe just blew its engine -- at 46,600 miles and 49 months after purchasing it brand new. Audi refused to pay for the repair, which cost her $4,900. Beware of Audis and Audi USA, Friends. They are the biggest fraud around in North America. I would never buy ANYTHING made in Germany any more. More
The single best dealer purchase experience of my lifetime. Maybe because it's 2008 and they're desperate to sell cars now, who knows. But it was smooth as silk and there were no ugly surprises as lifetime. Maybe because it's 2008 and they're desperate to sell cars now, who knows. But it was smooth as silk and there were no ugly surprises as happens so often at other dealers. I've also taken the car in for warranty service and the crew (Dion et al) were professional and focused. I hope it stays this way! More
Recently leased a 2008 Audi A4 and had a GREAT experience. They were straight-forward with all transaction costs. The car and all monies involved were exactly as we had agreed to over the phone. experience. They were straight-forward with all transaction costs. The car and all monies involved were exactly as we had agreed to over the phone. I had specifically asked for a bright red A4 2.0T with black leather interior, satellite radio and a six-speed manual transmission. They did not have the car in stock, but had it within 24-hours. The entire process went extremely well. Having never leased a car before, I was concerned that I would not understand all the numbers in the lease, nor understand exactly what the purchase price of the car would be. The salesman, Dany Aly and the Business Manager, Rodney Barredo took the time to answer all of my questions. I walked out of there with a complete understanding of the lease and how we arrived at each number in the lease agreement. They showed complete professionalism throughout the transaction. I am completely satisfied with my purchase from Audi and would strongly endorse the dealership to anyone looking to purchase or lease an Audi. More
In the past I was an advocate for AUDI of Alexandria but my recent experience with the dealership's service department (and AUDI as a product) has turned me away from the car forever. Caveat Emptor, AUDI is my recent experience with the dealership's service department (and AUDI as a product) has turned me away from the car forever. Caveat Emptor, AUDI is a horribly produced car and has given me nothing but headaches since purchase. My most recent dealings with AofA left me without a car for three months as they could not or would not deal with my extended warranty company. While not completely their fault -- the warranty company was overly excessive in their demands for breakdowns on all parts and labor, down to each bolt -- AofA lost sight of the real issue, customer service. I was forced to borrow others' vehicles all summer last year while AofA and the warranty company went back and forth over work orders. I felt that nobody looked out for my interests at the dealership and because of it I suffered horribly in terms of personal time dedicated to acting as a middlemn. This should have been AofA's responsibility. I do not feel there was any deliberate malfeasance by AofA but the whole episode left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. Ultimately, their pitiful attempts to rectify the situation forced me to take over the process and go to the dealership personally to conduct a 3-way conference call between the dealer, warranty company, and myself. I bought my 2007 A3 here in early 2007. The purchase experience was reasonable enough, but the service after the fact has been abysmal. Audi of Alexandria REFUSED to install the audi accessory I-Pod ada experience was reasonable enough, but the service after the fact has been abysmal. Audi of Alexandria REFUSED to install the audi accessory I-Pod adapter. I had it installed at another dealer (an hour away from my home). After a few months, the Radio stopped getting reception (static all the time). I returned to my local dealer (Audi of Alexandria), and they told me that they could work on my Radio under warranty because the I-Pod adapter was the cause, and Audi factory accessories installed by a dealer are only warranteed at the DEALER THAT INSTALLED THE ACCESSORY. What if I had moved across country? I decided to live with a broken radio until my next major service, and since then have decided to sell the car (I've had it with Audi, I've taken this all the way to Audi USA, and had nothing but headaches). I decided that it would be BEST to sell a car with a working radio, and made and appointment at Audi of Alexandria for a final service (oil change, whistling sunroof, and minor driveline shimmy). I also told them I would pay to have the radio working, and to get started on it. They estimated 480 bucks to repair the radio, which I approved. They now have not yet completed the work (3rd day in the shop, originally promised 2 days), and they don't cover loaner cars (they use Hertz, not Audi) past 2 days. ARRGGGHH. They have systematically treated me poorly, overcharged me, and been disengenious. My experiences with this dealer have led me to sell my Audi and I must advise anyone looking at this dealer to avoid it. I also have lost faith in Audi USA, and will never purchase another Audi. More
