I wish I could offer more details than I will about my experience with Audi of Alexandria, but the fact of the matter is that I went there about 3 weeks ago eager to test drive an A5 and possibly buy one experience with Audi of Alexandria, but the fact of the matter is that I went there about 3 weeks ago eager to test drive an A5 and possibly buy one within a couple of weeks, depending on the drive. But, after walking around the lot two or three times, and then going into the showroom and waiting for a salesperson to even just say "hi," no one came up to me to ask me if i needed help. I was there for a total of about 40 minutes, and NOT ONE salesperson (NOT ONE) seemed to think me or my money were worth their time. After reading these reviews, I'm now feeling grateful that I didn't actually get any service from them. More
After two weeks and three voice messages, still no call back. I guess they don't need my business. This involved the general manager (SE) and Client Advisor (DA). How rude is that. I was interested in p back. I guess they don't need my business. This involved the general manager (SE) and Client Advisor (DA). How rude is that. I was interested in purchasing the 2010 or 2011 Q5. I've told at least four of my friends not to do any business with this dealership. BTW, I am seriously (75%) thinking I am going for the Acura MDX. Audi of Alexandria, see ya and I hope the owner(s) of this dealership see this post. More
I was given the cost for the repair over the phone and approved the repair. On the way to pick up the car I received a phone call that the car was ready and the repair was an additional $160 greater than approved the repair. On the way to pick up the car I received a phone call that the car was ready and the repair was an additional $160 greater than the estimate, with some explanation that another part was needed. I felt taken advantage of since I was not informed prior to the repair that an additional part was needed. Additionally, I called several times and left messages to discuss this issue, but my call was not returned. My daughter took the car back two days later regarding a light that was on that we thought was repaired, but during that visit was told the CV boot, opposite the one repaired two days before was now needing repair, when asked why it was not repaired during the week it was in the shop, she was told it was not seen, and probably happened after she left the shop. Really concerned with the response, length it took (10 phone calls on my part) to get and response and way the I was treated. I am also concerned that the boot opposite the side repaired was not examined and with the weak explanation given. As a woman I don't know a lot about cars, but I know when I've been taken for a ride. More
The sales staff at this dealership are dishonest and untrustworthy and I would never ever do business with them again! My wife and I ordered a brand new 2010 Q5. We were told that we would be inform untrustworthy and I would never ever do business with them again! My wife and I ordered a brand new 2010 Q5. We were told that we would be informed as soon as the car arrived at the Dealership. One lunchtime I received a call to say our vehicle had arrived and that we should come to pick it up around 6:00pm. Thinking that the dealership had to 'prepare' the vehicle for delivery I thought that 6 hours seemed a long time to 'prepare' it but assumed that they were just being conservative and thoughtful in their timing so that I did not come to the dealership in the afternoon and wait for it. When we arrived at the dealership it was dark. We were very quickly shown the vehicle but of course could not see much as it was so dark. One thing I did notice however was that the odometer read 36.2 miles. When we got into to handle the paperwork, the finance person tried to get us to sign a form to say the vehicle only had 10 miles on it. When I pointed out that it had 36.2 miles she 'copped an attitude' and begrudgingly prepared a new form with 36.2 miles on it. When we finally took delivery of the car the temp tags had the previous day's date on them. All then became clear. The dealership had received the car the previous day and then used it for two days as a Demo car!!! Needless to say, I very hope I receive an AUDI survey questionaire!! More
My wife and I bought an '09 A4 from Audi of Alexandria after assurances from the sales and managment staff that they would always stand behind the car and provide us with great customer service after we h after assurances from the sales and managment staff that they would always stand behind the car and provide us with great customer service after we had made the purchase. They did not keep their promise of good service. The service staff chipped the pain on the hood while the car was in for its first service and the service manager refused to fix it until I showed him other complaints on car sites from previous customers and neighboors of the dealership who have seen service and sales team members throwing footballs and other items that hit the cars. We were told that we would be provided with an Audi loaner car when the car was in for service. They have only provided this service once and I have been lied to on several occassions about their ability to provide an Audi vehicle. They are told to tell you that they cannot provide Audi loaners anymore because of new ownership. If you press them they will do it, but then the next time you call for service they will not call you back. When a rock hit my windshield I called Audi of Alexandria to ask about getting a new one. They told me that I should insist on getting the windshield replaced by them even if I had to pay extra to my insirance company because Sfe-lite, they said would not be able to hook-up all of the connections etc and woud do a sloppy job. I agreed to pay extra and have the dealership replace the glass. They did not reconnect all of the electronics in the wineshield correctly and got glue on the inside of the car. It took them two months to schedule me for an Audi loaner and then when I got there they made me wait for an hour and then said no Audis were available. After buying the car, which was not easy because of constant "miscommunication" between our sales person, Danny, and his bosses. We were told over and over again to rate them as 5 star when we were contacted. We explained to Danny that we would not be comfortable giving them that rating and he became very upset and said he would not get paid and they may fire him and that it was not his fault. He blamed the "miscommunications" on his bosses. We gave him the 5 star rating and when I called back back to check on the mudd-mats Danny said he would order he told me to order them myself and then stopped returning calls. I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this dealership. I love the car, but I cannot stress enough that it is not worth owning if you will have to deal with this dealership. More
Our fabulous salesman was great! He was informative, polite, patient. but never overbearing. He answered all of our questions promptly. K. who helped us with financing, was extremely helpful, courteous, polite, patient. but never overbearing. He answered all of our questions promptly. K. who helped us with financing, was extremely helpful, courteous, and efficient. I now have a car that I love for half the price of the car that I traded that did not "fit" my needs. My new Audi Q5 is a perfect car. I highly recommend AUDI OF ALEXANDRIA TO EVERYONE!!!! More
I went to buy an A4 asking for diplomatic prices. Before I further opened the mouth, I was asked for my passport. Wasted 15 mn as the salesman did not know how to use the copy machine (he wanted to copy the visa). He tried to sell me an available car at about 10% above retail rate. I refused and said I preferred to buy on order and at diplomatic prices: "ok thanks good bye we will contact you" was the answer. I asked for a brochure. Nope. I asked for the price list. He gave me the list of 2009 (not 2010). I asked for more details on the sports package "not yet available in the US; what about the car I told you about?". Except that I had tried a sports package equipped car on the same day in another dealer. So the guy was just telling rubbish. He waved me good bye "we will contact you". Except that he forgot to ask for my contact details. No glass of water. No offer for a test drive. More
We are long time Audi owners(having bought 3 A8L's from Audi of alexandria), We had been taking in our cars for service to them over the last couple of years, and received exemplary response from everybod Audi of alexandria), We had been taking in our cars for service to them over the last couple of years, and received exemplary response from everybody at the dealership! So when it came time to replace our 2006 A8L it only made sense to give their sales team a shot and buy locally. I contacted a them through the internet and quickly got a response, and set an appointment to look at one of their existing cars. the salesman was very helpful in pointing out the features of the new model, and he was quite easy to work with . We negotiated the terms quickly and without the usual new car sales back and forth with the "manager". He got the paperwork printed up swiftly, and were out in a very reasonable time period. More
We brought in a 2006 A4 convertible with a damaged convertible top. After a week in the shop and a repair bill of $1284 we moved to Alabama (about two weeks later). Unfortunately, we did not try lower convertible top. After a week in the shop and a repair bill of $1284 we moved to Alabama (about two weeks later). Unfortunately, we did not try lowering and raising the top until we were in Alabama. When we did so, we found that the top had significant new damage to the inner liner. We took it to Jack Ingram Motors in Montgomery, Alabama and they did a thorough examination and then showed us what was wrong. We and the Jack Ingram Service staff called Audi of Alexandria about the condition of the car, but Audi of Alexandria denied they had done anything wrong. In my opinion, that makes them either dishonest or incompetent. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I think they are incompetent. Of course, since they claimed they did nothing wrong, they refused to pay any of the second repair bill. Jack Ingram's staff,on the other hand, fixed everything and gave us a price break since the damage had been done by another Audi dealer. They made a customer for life. If we move back to the Washington DC area, we will certainly not patronize Audi of Alexandria. More
They just won't take a car that has been to any other dealer. The argument is that it will not be covered by the warranty. This is unbelievable, the other dealer is also an audi dealer. So, if you move, dealer. The argument is that it will not be covered by the warranty. This is unbelievable, the other dealer is also an audi dealer. So, if you move, you are out of warranty. In addition, the service person was not very welcoming on the phone. More
