NEVER! My wife and I went in to purchase a new A4. The salesman was very nice and said he had been there for 14 years which we really liked. When it was time to work numbers there was ZERO movement and was explained that the closest dealer was 100 miles away so they didn't have to. The manager discounted the car $204 from list price. Even if I didn't have 15+ years in the car business that would be an insult. I made an offer to the salesperson and he happily presented it for us. When he came back the manager basically said No. There was no counter offer..Just a No. Our offer was very fair and the dealer would have made a profit. When I left I gave them my number and my wife's number HOPING a call would come. After 3 days of no follow up we went to New Country and Bought a new Lexus. New Country was a pleasure to deal with. More

When I decided to replace my wife's car I stumbled across a very hi-mileage '06 A6 Avant for cheap. I like it so much I decided to buy another to replace my really clean '95 S6 Avant as all the bells & whistles in the '06 seduced me and it seemed a shame to drive that collector quality '95 S6 in Central NY Winters. I called Mike Lardizabal at Langan, a hard core car nut I'd met through the Quattroworld network and they had an '07 A6 Avant that had just been traded on a new A7.
