I decided to take advantage of the Costco Auto buying program as a friend has done the same several years earlier. I contacted Costco and they gave me the name of a dealership close to my home so I went program as a friend has done the same several years earlier. I contacted Costco and they gave me the name of a dealership close to my home so I went to them to see what could be done with respect to a Certified Used car. Without going into any detail I left that dealership not feeling very good about the experience. I called Costco back and asked for another partner dealership with whom they work. They gave me the name of Auburn Chevrolet. I called Jason Rigby, explained my situation and made an appointment. Jason and I had a conversation as to what they could do for me due to the fact that I had gone into bankruptcy 5 years earlier, after a lay off at a mortgage company. He then introduced me to David Vincent, and both Jason and David walked me through what my options were with respect to how the Costco program entered into the equation. Honestly, as my bank turned me down for an auto loan I was skeptical that anything could be done, but dealerships deal specifically with lending institutions that are more willing to carry a car loan. At that time it didn't matter as I wasn't planning to purchase anything until my birthday in December. David took notes as to what I wanted and we reviewed the catalog which shows all of the options of all of the Chevy Cruze models. As it turns out the Chevy Cruze LS offers most of what I wanted as I don't need things like cruise control, electrical seats, heated seats, extra chrome but I would have liked heated exterior mirrors, and most importantly Leather seats and mechanical sunroof. So as time passed Scott Reed, the nuts and bolts paper guy, heard our conversation and offered that those options could be added at my expense. So here we go, they had a 2013 new silver LS, thought I wanted blue, but now love the silver. Secondly I was able to choose the exact leather interior color, not stock, which pleased me as well as a reasonable price for the sunroof which is on par with what the factory charges. Needless to say they gave me a fair trade in and with a cash deposit, I drove a brand new 2013 Chevrolet Cruze LS home. I see it a win win, they were less a car in their inventory for the final quarter and I got what I wanted. I'm happy but admittedly it took a while to get over the fact that it's my second brand new car ever and I spent money on myself instead of my grandson's. Other than the time frame which it took to complete the transaction, I couldn't be more pleased with the final price, lending rate, monthly payment amount and service from Auburn Chevrolet. We are happy so far, and the dealership has been good to deal with during the purchasing process also. Pavel is great working with customers and we will for sure recommend him to family and friends when they are looking to purchase a new vehicle. He should be recommended for promotions and special recognitions. He rocks! More
Friendly and helpful. They sold me a truck I truely love, for a price I was happy with. Ryan and the rest of the staff at Auburn Chevrolet were responsive, effecient and friendly. After a busy day and several people purchasing vehicles, it was almost 10 p.m. before I made it into the busines responsive, effecient and friendly. This was a horrible experience. I found a 2010 Doge Challenger that i loved. Well they quoted at at 12% intrest and 0 down and $525 a month...I had the car for 8 days. each day i called the dealership Challenger that i loved. Well they quoted at at 12% intrest and 0 down and $525 a month...I had the car for 8 days. each day i called the dealership 2 to 3 times per day asking if its a done deal on the eigth day they called me back in and the intrest jumped from 12% to 19% and $500 down and $545 a month.. I thought that was really shady so I said look thats not what we agreed upon, and i gave the car back. I had that car for 8 days.. i fell in love with it. But i didnt want to get Screwed. well like a week later I said look I'll take the 2nd deal. well i had to cancel the appointment because something came up. I sent an email stating so. Then i get a phone call from the salesman Saying hey my manager doesnt want to do any more work on this unless i come in because i was a no show even though i did let them know. the salesman acted like he was doing me some huge favor by even talking to me. the customer service that i received was a joke. I was approved for a fully loaded 2012 Dodge Challenger with a much lower intrest rate from a different dealership. I havnt gotten a new car yet because i had my heart set on the one. UPDATE: Auburn Chevrolet contacted me after learning of my bad experience. Since then I delt with Jason Rigby and Scott Reed..They totally made this right...I received a better deal and they were really nice.I am a proud owner of a Dodge Challenger the one I wanted...with a pretty great deal...So would I recomend these guys? Yes but not to say anything bad about different guys there but Jason Rigby and Scott Reed were the 2 that went above and beyond to make certain that everybody was happy... Just one more thing... I came in yesterday with no expectations of actually getting a vehicle. As I had mentioned to Ryan on the phone, my encounter with another Chevy dealer last weekend left a bad taste in my mouth and wha getting a vehicle. As I had mentioned to Ryan on the phone, my encounter with another Chevy dealer last weekend left a bad taste in my mouth and what they told me regarding the purchase of a new vehicle dashed all hopes of me getting into one for at least another year. Ryan assured me that he could make it happen for me - I still didn't believe it until I went through the process last night. It was virtually pain free (except my new car payment) - and I wasn't pressured nor did I feel that they were trying to pull one over on me. I respect the up front and honest dealing with him and the finance manager - I'm very, very impressed and will definitely recommend Auburn Chevrolet to everyone! I recently purchased a 2012 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. There aren't very many around, so finding exactly what my family wanted was difficult. Auburn Chevrolet, and specifically Jason Rigby, was the only dealer aren't very many around, so finding exactly what my family wanted was difficult. Auburn Chevrolet, and specifically Jason Rigby, was the only dealership that I talked to that were more interested in getting me what I wanted, no matter what, than trying to talk me into a conventional Tahoe, a different color, options, etc. They were ultimately able to locate what I wanted in Oregon and had it delivered the very next day. I highly recommend this dealership. Great service, no pressure, no hassle. A perfect buying experience. More
