Working with Les (Sales) and Travis (the owner/mechanic) was a casual, low/no pressure process (compared to a "traditional" dealership), and the experience and price fit me and my budget very nicely. I enjoyed the process, and the moments in between... Which, I suppose, are also part of the process. They're honest, friendly, and knowledgeable; 3 important qualities in an auto shop. Their prices are reasonable and fair; a much appreciated difference (compared to other options in town). If they don't Have the hybrid you want on the lot, they'll find one for you! Wow. : ) More
I took my 2002 Ram 2500 for diagnosis and repair of what seemed to be a transmission malfunction. Timberline swapped my transmission out for a rebuilt replacement at a cost to me of $3912. As I drove away f seemed to be a transmission malfunction. Timberline swapped my transmission out for a rebuilt replacement at a cost to me of $3912. As I drove away from the dealership, I discovered the truck performed exactly as before the repair. NO difference whatsoever. They admitted that they did not perform any diagnosis, and did not road test the truck after the transmission replacement to verify that it was performing properly. Rather, they simply replaced the transmission. Timberline refused to reinstall the old transmission, which obviously was in good condition. I then took the truck to Wilsonville Dodge for diagnosis and repair. In less than 30 minutes Wilsonville Dodge identified a defective sensor, and completed the repair in less than four hours from the time I delivered the truck for diagnosis. The cost was $365 for repair and diagnosis. Timberline refused to offer any corrective action, and now refuses to return my calls. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General office, and I intend to file a small claims suit against Timberline Dodge.? I recommend to anyone who might consider doing business with Timberline Dodge; Do Not Do Business With Timberline Dodge. More
I went to an independent shop to have my 2002 Dodge Durango repaired. The ECM needed replacing, this independent shop purchased it from Timberline. When I got my vehicle back, all was ago. Then th Durango repaired. The ECM needed replacing, this independent shop purchased it from Timberline. When I got my vehicle back, all was ago. Then the ABS and E brake lights came on. I went back to the shop, and a Les Schwab to have it diagnosed. The problem was the unit was never properly flashed before being sent to the shop. I have called Timberline twice in relation to this, and both times have received the runaround of being passed from individual to individual before finally speaking to the "Service Manager". When I speak with him about why the unit was never properly flashed, he stated that that is the responsibility of the shop replacing it, not the dealer. When I told him that I work for a dealership myself and that it is our responsibility to flash the unit before sending it out to the shop that replaces it. He said that any shop that isn't shoddy would do this, have the equipment for it, and I should know better than that working for a dealership. When I mentioned that I would contact the BBB about this, I was hung up on. They say that programming is the responsibility of the purchasing party to program the unit, yet there was nothing in the paper work given to the shop I went to, a reputable shop that doesn't lie about service needed and charge fair prices, about this. They say that this shop is less than reputable, yet they as a dealer will supply them. They don't care about their customer, they care about making money and getting on with life. If I were to have received better treatment from their staff I would have been more open to what they had to say. Don't go here if you wish to be treated with respect and customer care. More
