Not only the WORST dealership I ever ever been to, but quite possibly the worst examples of customer relations I have ever encountered. Purchasing a vehicle should not have to take place in a hostile environment. Employees do not understand the importance of customer service. Staff lies, steals, and even uses physical threats. Owner, William Murphy, should be embarrassed and ashamed to employ incompetent buffoons as managers who possess neither civility nor intelligence. How do you expect to run a business when you treat hardworking people like common dirt? I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and the Hyundai Customer Relations Dept. Avoid this place at all costs unless you like being physically and verbally harassed by the lowest scum on the planet. More
Stopped in telling salesperson I did not have much time but would like to look at car. asked for quote. Gave me very very high quote for such an inexpensive car. After second quote I said I liked quote but but would like to look at car. asked for quote. Gave me very very high quote for such an inexpensive car. After second quote I said I liked quote but needed to come back to sign paperwork. Had to get back to work. Sales Manager berated me for not signing and giving a deposit. Yelled at me (the customer) and said i should not have come in if i did not have time to sign and give cash deposit. Very Very unprofessional. Stay Away. There are many, many more reputable dealerships out there with decent professional salespeople. More
I purchased a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe from this dealer 1 month ago. What a pleasure it was to work with them. From the time I stepped in the door, they were very pleasant and not like other dealers that wer month ago. What a pleasure it was to work with them. From the time I stepped in the door, they were very pleasant and not like other dealers that were rude and pushy. They never pushed me once to take the vehicle. They gave me a great price and the finance department never pushed me to purchase anything additional. I will recommend this dealership for everyone if they want a pleasant time. More
I should have known that this dealership was bad when they started to get upset with me trying to haggle the price (that's why we are suppose to do, get a reasonable price for the value of the car) but t they started to get upset with me trying to haggle the price (that's why we are suppose to do, get a reasonable price for the value of the car) but the deal seemed right and so I took it. The worse mistake ever. I should have walked out the door when I had the chance. They have been nothing but a problem. They complete lack any customer service skills. They just want you money, once you sign that contract, they don't care about you any more. I have had my car for 45 days and am still waiting for my registration to come for the car. Since my temporary is up, I went in and they were unable to issue me a new one but would be glad to pay for my ticket if I was to get one (I don't see that happening). I felt like I was being attacked by the finance guy for even asking why it was taking so low for my registration to get back. I have never purchase a vehicle and had so many problems before. I never even received a phone call to ask how I was enjoying my new ride. Even through the process of waiting for the registration, I have had to consistently call them to find out the status, they never called me. I love my new car but I would never ever ever recommend to anyone that I like to purchase a vehicle from this company. Their sale tactics are abrupt and they lack any customer service skills. More
I just purchased a Santa Fe last week. This is the second vehicle I purchased at this dealership. I had no problems with the first car, but this time they really gave it to me. We agreed on a pric second vehicle I purchased at this dealership. I had no problems with the first car, but this time they really gave it to me. We agreed on a price "WITH THE TRADE IN". They threw in the roof rail cross bars, a cargo net, and they were even nice enough to get me a 0% financing. Little did I know, I was supposed to get them anyway. After their expert mathematicians ran the final numbers, with confusing tactics using sticker prices, taxes, trade in, rebate, tags, fees, and more fees you never heard of, I realized that I paid the price of the car, PLUS the trade in. I was too late because I realized this after I left the dealer. The next day, I went there, and they denied any wrongdoing. They are [violative content deleted]. They refused to cancel the transaction. I will contact Hyundai, and consumer affairs. And I can't wait to get my hands on the survey!!!! More
I am 70 years old Widow on a fixed income. I was taken advantage of by the service department (JOHN GROSSO) at Atlantic Hyundai. I have a 2007 Senata Limited that has 8000 miles on it and is garaged. I ma advantage of by the service department (JOHN GROSSO) at Atlantic Hyundai. I have a 2007 Senata Limited that has 8000 miles on it and is garaged. I made an appointment for an oil change and inspection and was told my hoses were probably dried out and there might be many other issues about my car. I was afraid to drive my car the way he spoke to me. He SCARED me into getting a 30,000 mile "SERVICE". I just had a 6000 mile "SERVICE" in March.I left there paying $547.49 when i only wanted a oil change and inspection. When i told my son and my neighbor what occurred they told me i was taken.Vinny Barbato admitted they were wrong and offered me half the cost ($274.00). He said a check would be sent out right away. I waited a week and never received a check. My son called and they said Vinny Barbato was on vacation and nothing was done about the check. After 2 weeks Brian calls from service department and tells my son that there was a check for 180.00 there and if he wanted to pick it up. I refused the check because it was not the agreed amount. NEVER buy a car from this dealer. To take advantage of a 70 year old widow is pitiful. More
Went to this dealership after visiting Advantage Hyundai in Hicksville and they challenged me to get a better deal elsewhere. Well I did! I loved my experience at Atlantic. Its a big, beautiful dealership! in Hicksville and they challenged me to get a better deal elsewhere. Well I did! I loved my experience at Atlantic. Its a big, beautiful dealership! They have lots of cars in stock and they really worked with my price range. They even certified my used vehicle for free. I walked out of there feeling completely satisfied that I got the car I wanted for the price I could afford. I walked in the door with my own pre-approved financing and I told them if they could match the rate, I would finance with them. They matched it without hesistation. I have recently brought the car in for servicing and was able to get a loaner car which was essential for me, however I needed to reserve the loaner two weeks in advance. Servicing took longer than expected (i think because I had a loaner they took longer to look at my car), but I am satisfied with the service I received and I didnt feel ripped off. More
i would recommend it depending if there is a special sale or not. people read the fine print on rebates for their hyundai. their service is decent, but long wait times. not the best, but by far not the wo or not. people read the fine print on rebates for their hyundai. their service is decent, but long wait times. not the best, but by far not the worse. i would definitely go back and use them again. pricewise they could do a little better. for a inexperience buyer, you probably want to learn how to haggle more and do your research before you go buy any car. i bought my first new car here, it wasnt so bad, but i learned a good lesson. Probably something like this, Must finance a are the reason car salesmen have the reputation they do. Example is thier ads. Ever read the bottom? Probably something like this, Must finance a minimum of 90% through dealer(paynig cash = a higher selling price), 720 fico or better to get 12% interest( avg joe gets a criminal rate usually in the high teens), can only choose from cars in thier inventory on the day you visit, bank fee destination fee and administrative fees extra.(whether or not they truely exist) that is an exmple of some of the tactics they will use. my friend went in and they tried ripping her off by not telling her anything except a monthly payment. After a little advice from me she saved about $1000 and got put into a bank with gap insurance and an extended warranty. I used to be in the business! More
Tried to get a good deal during end of month. Faxed / emailed local dealers, and Atlantic offered the best deal. Confirmed the price over the phone, went over there to buy my new sonata, no gimmicks, no emailed local dealers, and Atlantic offered the best deal. Confirmed the price over the phone, went over there to buy my new sonata, no gimmicks, no tricks, price was as quoted. Great people, as everything I asked was answered in very friendly matter, my salesman with upmost friendliness, as well as professionalism took care of the deal like a smooth sailing. He taught me all the features, and even walk-through how to use em. More
