This was my first new auto purchase so I do not have a baseline to compare them to. I will say that my experience was a pleasant one. The salesman( Bill B.) was very helpful. baseline to compare them to. I will say that my experience was a pleasant one. The salesman( Bill B.) was very helpful. More
Overall experience was good, but not amazing. Had to really haggle for a fair price. Original quote was real high. There was a lot more waiting around than I was expecting. When I dealt with sales they really haggle for a fair price. Original quote was real high. There was a lot more waiting around than I was expecting. When I dealt with sales they were nice. I didn't like that i had to find out about the car having no spare tire until after I purchased the car. But that's more of a complaint with Hyundai as a company, a poor decision in design there. Finance department was not the friendliest around. They said very little and didn't have answers to some of my questions yet, they were eager to sell me an insurance policy. Car still had a bunch of sticky stuff on the window upon delivery. Not a huge deal but enough for me to mention it here. Other dealerships give their customers water and coffee free. At this one you have to buy it. When you're waiting around at a high volume dealer like this it would be nice to not have to go broke buying bottled water. More
Overall experience was great. Sales rep was amazing. I would recommend Timothy denis to anyone I know. Paperwork took a while and seemed to be a long process but the outcome was worth it. would recommend Timothy denis to anyone I know. I have purchased from your dealership before, but never had the experience as I did this time. Bob Wasilko was pleasant, thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and really helped me make some choices. We got an Internet price for a Sonata Limited w/o Nav, so we went to the dealership on Memorial Day weekend. We sit down with Sandra and we go over the price I was given on the Internet. We wait outside for we went to the dealership on Memorial Day weekend. We sit down with Sandra and we go over the price I was given on the Internet. We wait outside for 20 or so minutes and the trainee can't find ANY keys for a Sonata limited to test drive. So we go back in to talk to Sandra and she informs us that the car we want has been in accident and they have to disclose it. They said it had over 5 thousand dollars worth of damage being moved from storage lot to dealership. Maybe the email with quote should have told about damage.Wouldnt have wasted are time. We ask to see the repair bill and get well accounting is closed and we can fax the report to you blah blah. Also every sonata limited on the lot was SOLD, so we had no other chose . On monday we only get faxed a sheet with parts and prices listed(dated the same day). We get a call on Monday night memorial day at 7:30pm asking us if we are buying car. We declined, then they wanted to take another 2000 off the price. Still said no, they really wanted to sell. I have been to a few dealers on Long Island and some are shady in my mind. My last car purchase was off Long Island and I should have followed that again. We did go off the island and got almost $4000 off MSRP. Also got a better price on trade..... So I wouldn't recommend Atlantic Hyundai. I didnt have an issue with Sondra just how things are handled at this dealership. They are very busy at this dealership.... More
My husband and I visited Atlantic hoping to purchase a 2011 Sonata Limited...the salesperson we dealt with essentially tried to unload a lesser model, in a different color, insisting that he would make al 2011 Sonata Limited...the salesperson we dealt with essentially tried to unload a lesser model, in a different color, insisting that he would make all of the necessary changes to the vehicle to essentially make it a Limited. He is also refusing to tell us the total price, just the monthly payment +"all the regular fees" which he also refuses to disclose the total amount of. The manager then comes over to try and seal the deal and tells me one that they don't deal with my credit union(I strictly wanted my financing through them). When I correct him by pulling up the website and naming the specific person listed as their point of contact he then retracts his statement only to tell me that I will never be approved for their financing. He then proceeds to talk to my husband and myself as if we are children and crudely says we essentially have no options other than to go for the lesser model. Supposedly he walks away to process an application and get back to us with finance information...after waiting at least 10 minutes in ackward silence with an equally ackward salesperson we look over to see he is now "closing" a different deal. We walked right by him on the way out and he didn't even make eye contact. The next day luckily we found Star Hyundai in Bayside and I drove away with my 2011 Sonata Limited Turbo(an even higher model and the exact color I so desperately wanted) 100% financed by my credit union that I was told would never approve me. Luckily for Hyundai their cars are selling themselves right now...if you are looking to get ripped off after being treated like a criminal head to Atlantic...if you are looking to be treated with the respect you deserve and then-some when purchasing a new car I would strongly suggest taking a trip to Star! Sleezy, rude, unprofessional staff. I would never purchase a car from sales staff who are not interested in selling a car. Must hold recruiting sessions for ex-convicts.
