This dealership has always been fantastic. Honest, fair and straightforward with pricing in the service department. However, since the new dealer ship took over, it has gone to being borderline criminal. I was quoted $93 for an oil change on my Chevrolet equinox but when I went to check out they wanted almost $140! There was no additional work or extra parts needed. This appears to be very close to violating federal trade commission policies regarding pricing and customer interaction. It was bad enough that they nearly doubled their service pricing, or at least so it seemed, but they tried to mask and hide it So the customer doesn’t really know the final price until they check out. In this case, it was close to 40% higher than what they quoted me. Just by chance, the general manager, Anthony, who overheard the service advisor trying to explain to me why the price was so high when he was walking by intervened. I’ve always had my vehicles serviced here. I’ve purchased two vehicles from them and been extremely happy with the experience. However, based on this experience with the service department, I will never go back to visit them. I don’t rattle easy. I expect very little from customer service. I understand that it’s challenging to find decent help. However, this seems to be a business model based on figuring out how to separate you from your money after you’ve committed to having service work done. That just didn’t seem to sit well with me. I went to the dealership for service on my Vans AC, I was told they would put dye in the system. Went back a few weeks later, was told there were not leaks, and they charged up my AC. A couple of days later told they would put dye in the system. Went back a few weeks later, was told there were not leaks, and they charged up my AC. A couple of days later AC stopped working again. Took it back I was told the dye had washed away? I had already had it charged prior to that, I was then recommended to pay for a rear evaporator at $2300 then have it charged and retested. More
