I bought a car here a year ago, last week I got a call to go in to refinance, I went and they offered me half the interest rate I currently have so I agreed and told them I’ll take the offer, after the sale go in to refinance, I went and they offered me half the interest rate I currently have so I agreed and told them I’ll take the offer, after the sales rep (Maria Ibáñez) came back with the paper work I saw that they where charging me the sales tax again ($1200) and a $800 documentation fee I asked her why would I pay the sales tax and documentation again if already had done so. She went to get her manger(Jorge mancillas) when he came back he told me that was normal and that all banks charge that when they refinance I told him I had never heard of that he tried confusing me by saying I wasn’t paying for sales tax again they were just other fees of refinancing I told them both I prefer refinancing somewhere else and they both tried to assure me that no one was going to give me a better interest rate offer and that those fees were normal, I left without taking there “deal”. The next day I checked my payoff quote and it was $1300 less then what they had told me in the dealer I didn’t even realizes that until the next day. I applied with another bank got a better interest rate (both Maria and Jorge assures I wouldn’t be able to) it would of cost me $3,250 of “fees” just to refinance with them, fortunately I didn’t and chose another bank and saved all that only small fee for transfer. I was going to buy my next car here not more, if anyone thinking of refinancing here be aware and don’t fall to there lies and pressure don’t know if everybody here does that, but Maria Ibáñez and Jorge mancillas did.
