Stay Away All I have to say…Stay Away From this Dealership…I bought a 2012 Aston Martin vantage S convertible…from another dealer in TX ….I believe around Septe All I have to say…Stay Away From this Dealership…I bought a 2012 Aston Martin vantage S convertible…from another dealer in TX ….I believe around September 2014… couple months later…I took the car…to the Aston Martin in Tysons corner when it was still …. under warranty….the car stalls at stop lights (intermittent)….and also, the clutch will overheat, warning message appears when in heavy traffic and stop/go traffic….the service department could not duplicate either issues…I took the car back…and drove it for couple weeks…then I had the same problem…I took it back…again…to the dealership…well once again….they could not duplicate the issues… I took it for a third time…before the warranty expires…except this time…I filmed the overheating of the transmission….After few days…Eureka…they found it…it was some break sensor…that caused the car to stall and overheat…took the car…thinking it was fixed …did not drive the whole winter…came spring…I started driving the car…again…the same problems reoccurred again… took it…back to them…they had the car for a month and half…the changed another sensor and reprogramed the shifting…few months later…I took the car back for the same problem…another sensor was changed this time I had to pay…did not drive the car for a while…once I drove it again…the same problem reoccurred again…they kept the car for weeks…could not figure out what the problem was…for both issues…now they brought the big guns…the Aston Martin regional Service manager…oh mother….this dude was full of it…he gave me some BS story ….that it was the way I drove the car that caused it to overheat and stall…that was the biggest BS I have ever heard…nevertheless …I took the car did not drive for a while… then drove it for a while…less than a 1,000 miles the car did it again…brought it back and told them…if they don’t fix it this time I am suing them…3 weeks later…again Eureka…you need a new clutch…your car is about 15K….that is why it stalls and overheat….it is common that a clutch on these cars wears off… between 15-20K….10k to fix that…well I brought the car for 3 years to them…to fix it…and they kept giving me the round around….i said if that was the problem at the time …why did you make me change all the sensors…if the problem was the clutch…why give some BS stories….and made it sound that my driving was the cause of overheating…and stalling…I told they need to fix it on their dime…they talk to the big regional manager…my request was denied…after that…I took the car to couple places…that fixes Astons…both of them…told me that the overheating problem is normal thing with my car….that the Aston Martin Vantage S….. are not built to be driving in heavy traffic and stop/go traffic…it’s a flaw in the design of these cars...The overheating caused the wear and tear of the clutch…and now they want to make it sound….that it’s just wear and tear...well for over 3 years the car with a clutch that was in excellent condition caused these issues to occur and reoccur again…nothing can give me for certainty that fixing the clutch would solve my problem…I think that….this place needs to hire new technicians….they have no idea what they are doing…they are incompetent….it is a total rip off…a waste of time and money…even their service prices are higher than any Aston dealership on the east coast…believe me I called around…every time they quoted me something...seriously…don’t take your car there ever…there a bunch of Aston specialist around the area…that are…honest and competent….I cannot talk about the service managers…cause most of the people I dealt with… in the past left…it seems they have a new service manager every other week….anyway…I am taking legal action against this dealership…will let you where things end up…Stay away from these guys….the worst service you will ever get… More
I want to start by saying that this dealership has been an ongoing nightmare and one of the worst experiences of my life. However, I am a huge fan of Aston Martin in general. The corporate folks as well as an ongoing nightmare and one of the worst experiences of my life. However, I am a huge fan of Aston Martin in general. The corporate folks as well as my local dealers and mechanics in San Francisco have been phenomenal. The experience at Aston Martin Washington DC, though, was one of the worst of my life. I bought a used car from Aston Martin Washington DC, where I was told I was buying a car inspected to be certified by Aston Martin in "absolutely beautiful condition". This began my long nightmare. Firstly was the paperwork. The team there made so many mistakes and inconsistencies on the paperwork that I struggled to get the car registered in California. There were no fewer than three different prices quoted in the various paperwork. Next came the delivery, since the car was shipped. The car arrived weeks after they said it would to California, and rather than being in a covered carrier it was in a filthy, open-air truck. The car only contained a single key and no wheel lock key. Immediate I saw that the car was not in the condition they represented. They told me it had been through a rigorous 140 point inspection of Aston Martin and was perfect. The leather around the dash was peeling, the radio didn't work, and the check wheel light was on in the dash. As a result, I took the car to me local Aston Martin Dealership in California. I have to say this is one of the best organizations I have every worked with. They did an initial inspection on the car and revealed major problems. It was honestly unbelievable. There were things on this car impossible to miss in even the most basic inspection. For example the wheel tpm sensors weren't on the car, which is why the check wheel light was on. The wheels to the car were made before the car was, and were cracked. Even the most basic annual checks hadn't happened, and the fluids where all low. In total, this basic check revealed 14k in damage. I then took the car to a body shop where they determined that it had been hit and repainted in a non-aston martin certified body shop in a different shade of silver. I called up Aston Martin Washington DC to talk with Pieter, my salesperson. He kept saying he was sorry and they would resolve things, but never did anything. He would not return my calls as he promised. I tried to work with Nathan in service, but had a similar tactic. He would promise to talk with me, and then just never call me back. I felt incredibly disrespected. Finally, I called Amador, the manager. He was initially helpful and apologized for his staff. He told me he would make this right and started by saying he was going to go and get the service records. Amador came back and sheepishly told me he could find essentially no service records on the car. The inspections they told him multiple times they had done simply had not happened. This made sense to me, as clearly no service or inspection had been done by the dealership, otherwise glaring issues would have been caught. Amador told me he would talk with the principle later that week and then get back to me with how they would help me. The afternoon after he was supposed to talk with the principle I called him and didn't hear back. I tried to call Amador at least a dozen more times in the next few weeks, in addition to numerous emails and got no reply. Even if they weren't going to help me, at least I deserved an answer. It was embarrassing when I called the secretary and she said Amador was there, then I said who I was and she pretended he was now busy. I want to firstly acknowledge I made mistakes as a car buyer. I should have looked over the contract more carefully- there are numerous mistakes (including several contradictory prices) but I didn't review to make sure I had everything in there I needed. I also should have had a 3rd party review the car. I didn't do any of these things though because I thought I was buying a car from an Aston Martin dealer, as was promised and as was advertised. In all, its been one of the worst experiences of my life. They first represented a car to me as something it wasn't. Even worse, as I tried to follow up and resolve the situation they repeatedly lied to me and then didn't give me the back answers they promised. More
