Every Dealer Should Be Like This! I came in for a service concern on my 2005 Escape. She has always been good to me and I knew the time was coming close with over 200,000 miles on her. I soon learned the bad news and the repair bill was going to be huge. Joe, one of the salesman there, heard of my concerns and offered to work out some numbers on a new or pre-owned vehicle. I told him I always buy new vehicles and he sat me down, took all of my information, and offered to show me different vehicles to see what fit me best. I really liked the new Escapes: packed with features, super comfortable to drive, and tons of interior room for what they call a "compact" SUV. We went on a test drive in the Titanium and the ride couldn't have been smoother. Quick acceleration and silky smooth on the highway. We got back to the dealer and I told him I was interested and wasn't expecting to get much out of my little Escape due to the age, mileage, and current estimated repair costs, but he told me he would get me as much money as he could all things considered. He then offered me a nice hot cup of coffee while his manager took a look at my car. He came back with a fair offer all things considered and I decided to go forward and buy the car. His manager (Kevin I believe), even came out to personally thank me for my business. We talked a little bit and he told me he's been there for a long time and seemed to truly enjoy what he does. In my experience in purchasing vehicles over the past 35 years, he was one of the friendliest and personable managers I have ever met. I then met Gary in Finance who made the paperwork very simple and transparent. He answered all my questions completely and honestly and was even kind enough to explain warranty provisions and optional extended contracts for complete piece of mind where I keep my vehicles so long. I was then greeted by Joe again who took over an hour and a half explaining EVERYTHING in the vehicle and even setting up my phone so I can start my car from it! I was amazed! Now coming from a 2005 and not having a clue what half of the features were was confusing enough, but Joe took the time to answer all of my questions and never got frustrated. He even invited me back to go over it again if I had any concerns! Overall the entire process was painless and straightforward. I never once got the impression I was being taken as I have felt at other places in the past with fast-talkers and poor service after the sale. This place truly cares about their customers and I will not hesitate to come back again (perhaps even sooner than last time) for all future vehicles and of course service! Thank you again! More
Service department rarely answers the phone...Poor service Brought our commercial van in for a warranty repair. The day we left it for them to determine the problem I tried to call to ask them a question. They did not answer the phone after 5 different attempts. Finally I had someone paged and got an answer. I had to call over a week later to find out if the parts they needed were in to schedule the repair. They told me they were (no phone call?) and gave me an appointment 3 working days later. Our employee dropped off the van on his way to the job the morning the work was scheduled. At the end of the day we did not hear back from them. I attempted to call 3 times with no answer. Finally I had to send a guy down there in person. They told him they were too busy to do the work, could we leave it? This is a vehicle we need to perform our work. They don't seem to have any consideration for that. They never even bothered to call to let us know. I will not use this dealership's service department again. More

No Service No Work Service team is god awful! Took them 6 weeks to "fix" my mustang; which was a 4 day job max. They jerked me around for weeks. saying they were waiting Service team is god awful! Took them 6 weeks to "fix" my mustang; which was a 4 day job max. They jerked me around for weeks. saying they were waiting for the right tools to do the job. Instead of overnighting the tool they went cheap and I had to wait 3 weeks for it to come I . They Never called to tell me what was happening. I had to open a claim with FORD Corprate to get the service manager to give me answers. Every time I called they never answers the phone. Every time I actually talked to someone they told me something different! I am never going back! I don't suggest this dealership to anyone! More

Since 2011, I 7/17/2017 Hello Everyone, It's time for another review. Yes , I bought an additional vehicle . I'm still going strong and steady. Since 2011, I have bought a brand new car EVERY YEAR, and then some. Now, on with my review . I just purchased a brand new 2017 Ford Focus ST, 6 speed manual, from Ashley Ford Sales on Mount Pleasant Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts . My Salesman was Alex Wolfgang. Alex Wolfgang is a wonderful Salesman. I previously met Alex , and test drove the Ford Focus ST, 6 Speed manual. Alex was very accommodating. He let me drive the Ford Focus ST, a Ford Explorer, and a Ford Fiesta ST. I took to Alex and his warm and honest personality immediately . Unfortunately, when I met Alex initially , it wasn't the right time for me to get into a new car. However , I did promise Alex I would be back within 12 months to purchase a brand new Vehicle from him . Despite having easy access to competing Ford Dealerships, Alex personality and honestly had me sold when I met him . Therefore , I very much wanted to do business with him. I called Alex on Saturday, 7/15/17 and made an appointment to meet with him that afternoon at 2:30pm. I met with Alex at the Ashley Ford dealership. We discussed the desired car I wanted and my financial options . I told Alex that I wanted a 2017 Ford Focus ST, 6 speed manual. We discussed the color I wanted. We discussed available rebates . My color choices were Race Red, and Magnetic Grey Metallic . I got $3,500 in rebates plus the dealership took an additional $750 off the sticker of the car as a loyalty Thank for purchasing my Ford Focus ST from Ashley Ford . They also gave me an additional warranty that extended my factory warranty. I can't say enough about my 2017 Ford Focus ST. I’ve wanted one since Ford debuted this trim level for the 2014 Model year. It's the first car I've bought off Ashley Ford . Everyone at the Dealership was courteous , warm and professional . I can't say enough about Alex Wolfgang. He's not only a good , honest Salesman . He's a great , warm and loving family man . These personality traits all shine through in the first five minutes after talking to Alex. His professionalism, and salesmanship bristled with such refined brilliance. Jim Bancroft in finance was fabulous as was Gary Freitas . Jim and Gary got me the lowest interest rate possible, and right when I was going to settle for the initial rate he got me, he told me , “ NOPE, On Monday, I am going to get you an even lower rate” . Jim Bancroft came though with flying colors , getting me a dirt cheap interest rate. The man’s a magician ! I’d also like to add that my sales experience was completely stress free. NO pressure AT ALL ! Now, This is my 23rd brand new car since 1989. I have to say, its been the BEST car buying experience EVER !! No Pressure AT ALL !! For those of you who don’t know, Ashley Ford is a family owned company , and they’ve been in Business for decades and decades, still family owned. I have to tell you , the atmosphere of this dealership, and their approach to NO PRESSURE Sales, is immediately evident as soon as you walk in the door. First Ford in Fall River - FORGET about them ! I’ve been in there 8 times in the last 2 years. Not only do they have different Sales Staff all the time, they also don’t remember your name. Bigger dealerships that maybe, sell, 250 to 370 cars per month , like the the cars they sell, you, the customer are only a number. I have not seen Alex Wolfgang in some time , though, he remembered my name - WITHOUT LOOKING ME UP IN THE COMPUTER !! I’m very happy to have become a part of the Ashley Ford family . I'm more grateful to know Alex Wolfgang . I think of him as my little brother . That's how great he is . Thank you Ashley Ford . Thank You Jim Bancroft. Thank you Gary Freitas. Thank you Jonathan Mandeville. Thank You Alex Wolfgang, not only for selling me a beautiful car, but for also selling me the experience of becoming part of the Ashley Ford family . This Dealership is the reason people don't trust dealerships Had been shopping online for a used van and found one here. The salesman was friendly and I really wanted to buy from him. We negotiated a price but they would not give me a decent price for my trade in which stalled the transaction. A Week later, I sold my vehicle on my own, had my plates, a big wad of cash, and a ride to the dealership. I call first thing in the morning, thinking I'd be able to pick up the van that day. Instead the salesman tells me since they did work to the van they needed $3k more. What a joke. It was hard not to laugh in his ear. That is why retail prices are higher in the first place. They figure in the work needed BEFORE they list or negotiate a price. Secondly, I think they thought they had me over a barrel because I had sold my vehicle. Anyway, I called another dealership (I had seen another van, different make, and a father distance from my house) and negotiated a price over the phone and was driving home with my new purchase a few hours later. I'm an honest person and expect the same from the people I deal with especially when it is for thousands of dollars. It was a cash deal, and I was not fussy about the nicks in the paint, etc... Three weeks later, their van is still sitting on the lot waiting for a sucker to spend an extra $3k. If you are going to deal with them be SURE everything is in writing, or better yet, check the ratings for dealerships on all the websites. A little research and some flexibility will save you frustration and cash. More
I visited Ashley Ford after a frustrating attempt to buy a car at another local new car franchise. I was looking for the most economical vehicle i could buy on a limited budget. I first had come in at closing time on a saturday and met Carol Childs. I had to come to look at a Fiesta S 5 speed with no options, they were currently sold out of them, but she ended taking me on a test drive in a fully loaded se model with SYNC. I fell in love with the car immediatly. I decided to come back monday to see if they could locate a Fiesta S sedan. I returned Monday morning and was greeted by Daniel Sullivan. Once again, I was greeted with absoloute professionalism and respect. Dan took the time to listen to my needs in a car, which was needed for my 90 mile a day commute. He helped me find all the incentives i qualified for and i got an unbeatable price on the car! He showed me that by financing for 6 instead of 5 years i would be able to afford the monthly payments. I ended up taking a fully loaded se home for almost the same payment as i would have had on the S model. I also hunted with banks for the best interest all over the place, Ashley Ford got me .5 % better! Their slogan is right, you truly get the best service @ Ashley Ford!!!!!! Family owned truly makes the difference!! More
