Tire repair while on the road Travelling North from NC toward VA (we live in NH) we were headed east on Interstate 40 on a camping trip, my wife and I stopped for fuel at the Shell Travelling North from NC toward VA (we live in NH) we were headed east on Interstate 40 on a camping trip, my wife and I stopped for fuel at the Shell station exit 44 off the highway. While pumping fuel I noticed a screw in my front tire tread right on top. A mechanic (not sure for whom) was also fueling at the same time. I asked him where I could get my tire fixed and he said "If the trees were not in the way, you could see Asheville Chevy right over there". We pulled the 5th wheel into the lot and I went in and talked to a very nice man that used to be a cop. He joked with us and we felt right at home! He instructed me to park the trailer in the back lot and he would get me right in. We had just picked up breakfast sandwiches and coffee at the Dunkin's next door so the timing was perfect. We got a nice break and was able to check email with the WiFi. By the time we were through eating and browsing the web, our tire was patched up and back on the 3500. We hooked up the trailer and were on our way in about an hour and a half total time. Considering we were at the mercy of anyone that could or would fix our tire, we sure did find the right place. The price to repair it was very reasonable and I would recommend this service department to anyone! More

He replaced lots of parts but did not fix the problem AND my truck is not driveable. They are charging me $3000 for not fixing my truck and keeping it for 11 months. It is the same if not worse than when I brought it in. The managements decision to bill me is UNBELIEVABLE! After the fact I see many negative reviews on other sites concerning their service department. Ironically, the mechanic that worked on my truck is one of their best mechanics and management keeps jumping him from one vehicle to another. As a very small business owner, I could not take 11 months on a "project" and then bill the customer without any results to show. Customer service did not keep me updated. I had to stop by and go in shop to speak to the mechanic. More

When I asked for a loaner, it was refused and I was told he might be out for 3 days and that I should do some of the work today then bring the car back again. Well, if he was out why wasn't I called to not bring my car in? And, why does a dealership problem become my problem? More
Horrible customer service First, I called your dealership twice concerned about the safety of my cobalt during the ignition recall - the car shut off with me on the highway whi First, I called your dealership twice concerned about the safety of my cobalt during the ignition recall - the car shut off with me on the highway while driving my kids to school - and I was told that they would order the part and let me know when it would be in and if I took all the things off my keychain it would be fine. Nothing was ever mentioned about a rental car that the owners of these xxx cars were entitled to while waiting for the part to come in. Well, a month after the part was supposedly ordered then I called the dealership again to check on the status and I was told it was taking 30-45 days for the parts to come in. 2 weeks later I get a call that the part is in. I said OK, can I make an appointment? "Oh, we can't get you in for 2 weeks." So, she tried to schedule me for a Monday 2 weeks from that day and I asked if I would be provided with a loaner. She said "it only takes an hour and a half." I told her I needed to work and couldn't sit there waiting on it to which she replied I could "just take the shuttle as long as I am off work before 5." At this point I was very angry so I went online to see the problems other people were having and that is when I found out that I could have had a rental car the entire time. I called GM and they contacted Asheville Chevrolet and had me in a rental car within an hour. I also emailed the service manager at GM at this point with my complaints and never received a reply. It doesn't end there though. I went to Asheville Chevrolet to drop off my car and they told me a representative from the rental place would pick me up and to wait on the bench outside the dealership. After 1 and 1/2 hours of waiting in 86 degree weather with my 3-year-old, they still hadn't come and the service rep had to call them again. They came and took me ACROSS THE STREET. Where was the so-called "shuttle" at that point?? Anyway, my rental experience was great (thank you enterprise!) BUT as soon as I got home with my rental, Asheville Chevrolet called and said my car was done and I could pick it up by 5:30. What happened to 2 weeks??? It makes a big difference how fast they can work when they are paying for something. I ended up calling GM and telling them I was NOT driving 40 minutes back to return rental and get my car that day as I had spent most of the day getting the rental. They called Asheville Chevrolet and they said I could bring it back the next day. After sending an email to the regional GM manager, I did receive a call from someone at Asheville Chevrolet apologizing that I had a bad experience but "they couldn't do anything about the recall." I understand that, it is your lack of communication and customer service that I have a problem with, as well as your failure to mention the rental car. The thing that makes me most angry though is that you were able to get it fixed so fast once I had the rental AND if you had just scheduled an appointment for that Monday and given me a loaner I would have been happy. More
bought an 08 chevy cobalt from them. everything seemed okay, although the 4th gear stuck while i was shifting in the test drive. thought it was just me. noticed it kept occuring after i purchased, and it okay, although the 4th gear stuck while i was shifting in the test drive. thought it was just me. noticed it kept occuring after i purchased, and it turns out the synchronizer was going out in 4th gear. i still had to pay for it despite it was like that when i purchased it. still waiting for them to fix it too. brought it to them on a wednesday, said they'd have it by friday. on friday they said it wouldn't be until monday. it's monday now, and they said they'd let us know by 10am. its 2pm now and i have made numerous attempts to call them without getting a response. their service is upsetting me. Bounced over the Triangle for days, trying to find a specific car. Made a 3.5 hour drive, at the last minute to test drive. A leap of faith, lol. Tom stayed open late just for us. No bull, no tricks, no price changes, no pressure to buy add ons if told no. Great experience. Car as described, beautiful and surprising. Tom & Stan were great. One more thing, I have not had a dealer fill my purchased vehicle up with fuel since the early 2000s. They did! Did not want me stopping for fuel so late at night. More
