We were from out of town, and this was the closest dealership. Our truck broke down pulling a 39' toy hauler. We were stressed out of our mind. The technicians were thorough in evaluating my car, did an initial visit so that most parts would already be on hand, found a serious issue with an oil pump sensor that was contributing to the oil leaks an an initial visit so that most parts would already be on hand, found a serious issue with an oil pump sensor that was contributing to the oil leaks and then understood my need to be sure other parts in the same area were also good while already working on the engine. The only downsides, was the acftual time without car spilled into another day and a half which was not anticipated (I had expected it would be 2 days before I scheduled, they told me drop over night, plus a day's work, and it ended up being 2 days + a couple hours before my vehicle was available.). I'm not sure I would have been told anything till the end of the day, while I was worrying about whether it was ready on that additional full day if I hadn't shown up at the dealership in person to ask what the status was. That may say more about my concerns about my cars needs, rather than the skill and excellence of the team working at Aschenback Chevy GMC though. Also aschenbach should review its website. I could have sworn that loaners were available was language I saw, but when I got there, they said they didn't have those. Not sure if policy changed and website did not get updated, it didn't impact what My choices with the vehicle were though, I had another way to get home. Key points: Dealership should make sure website and instore policies are consistent, I'm a little more forgiving of this because I know how hard it is to remember to update a website, but other customers would see this as confusion, which might make others decide not to come there for service (when their technicians are very knowledgeable and experienced) Communication on repairs taking a lot longer: Some repairs you just know will take time to do, and it may be a long time without the car. Waiting till the end of the day to suggest that is likely to happen, is not my preferred experience. WHile it would be better to know a head of time so that scheduling can take it into account (I'm thankful we have a 2nd car), I realize sometimes unexpected things do happen. More
