Bob Rohrman Arlington Nissan is part of the Bob Rohrman Auto Group, one of the largest family owned auto groups in the United Sates. Shortly after Mr. Rohrman finished his term with the U.S. Army's tank division at Fort Lewis in Washington state, he opened a used car lot on the Sagamore Parkway in Lafayette, IN. Buyer beware — classic bait-and-switch dealership. They lure you in with attractive online pricing that is completely misleading. The price you see online is not the price you’ll pay. Expect to add at least $3,000 to that number, especially on certified pre-owned vehicles. They tack on $1,995 for the Nissan Certified Pre-Owned “warranty” and another $800 for mandatory GPS tracking — no opt-out, no transparency upfront. None of this is clearly disclosed online. We drove 2.5 hours, fully prepared to buy. Before making the trip, I specifically asked to be notified if there were any other interested buyers. Of course, once we arrived, test drove the vehicle and sat down to purchase, we were suddenly told that there was another buyer coming on Monday (this was Saturday) with “locked-in pricing.” Convenient. Translation: unless we agreed to pay the inflated price tied to this mysterious buyer — including the forced GPS and warranty — we weren’t getting the car. No negotiation. Take it or leave it. It feels like a pressure tactic they use on everyone to squeeze out the highest possible price. The entire experience was dishonest, sketchy, and a complete waste of our time.
