I am a disabled veteran, currently recovering from my 12th spinal surgery in as many years. Also, this summer my spouse of 25 years decided to leave the marriage, so I am navigating taking care of the home property and our two children (one in college) on my own. My full-time job requires me to commute a fair distance, and using my only vehicle (plow truck) I am spending greater than $1000/month in fuel. This drove the need to purchase a car. Without time or resources to travel outside the rust belt, it was necessary to purchase remotely. I explained my circumstances and needs to this dealership and was reassured again that they understood the complexity and challenges I was facing. They represented themselves as caring and concerned and determined to provide a vehicle in good working order with no deficiencies, and have it transported to me as part of the transaction. This turned out to be the most disappointing and incredibly awful car deal I could have dreamed of. The vehicle that was represented to be perfect, with nearly no flaws and needing nothing, as it had just gone through a Virginia safety inspection as well as their own shop, showed up in Vermont needing over $3500 worth of work to make it even road worthy. Even though the CARFAX was “clean”, the car has been wrecked and gallons of body filler used to effect a substandard repair. There are multiple blemishes on the body that were not disclosed but were concealed in all the photos. Mechanically, from the engine having been replaced with a salvage yard unit, to the exhaust manifold broken off spewing carbon monoxide directly into the cabin, to the driver’s seat not being able to be adjusted, to the headliner falling down, to loose control arms, broken headlight mounts, missing parts, inoperable heating controls, random radio noises, destroyed brakes, broken motor mounts, to TPMS sensors and more…the car wasn’t even drivable in it’s delivered state. This has been the single most awful car experience I’ve ever had, in a time where I needed it to be seamless and easy, straightforward and honest, it has caused me so much additional stress and strain over and above the immensity of what has been happening personally over the summer for me already; both in mental anguish and financially. The dealership staff refuses to return calls, answer the phone, return emails or text messages; all of which I have left multiple of each media. I was forced to lodge complaint with the attorney general’s office in Virginia, and am pending results from that effort. I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy and would never consider doing business with them or anyone they are affiliated with again. They are liars, thieves, and destructive to the industry. BEWARE!! More
Very unethical dealership. I placed a "Hold" deposit of $500, merely to prevent a vehicle from being "Sold" before I had a chance to test drive. A day later I went to the dealership, took one look at it and decided that it was not for me. Therefore, I didn't bother to test drive. I informed "Sam" the salesman that I'm not interested in the vehicle. Sam was trying to convince me they will fix all of the blemishes on the vehicle, within a few hours. I told him that I'm not interested, and I would like my "hold deposit refunded". Sam reassured me they will return my deposit. I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY DEPOSIT TO BE RETURNED! Don’t buy from these scammers! More
It's human nature to take big chances and hope for the best. But if you buy a car from Arlington Auto Group you got to be a real dummy. I live in Montana, and I found a used 2011 Maserati at this Virginia best. But if you buy a car from Arlington Auto Group you got to be a real dummy. I live in Montana, and I found a used 2011 Maserati at this Virginia dealership. I found a respectable place to have this car inspected; it's 31 min. drive away from the dealer. It was like pulling teeth getting them to approve having it inspected, but they finally said yes, on May 16th. The salesman who was going to bring that car there never showed up. I did a lot of work setting up that appointment. Salesman sent me a text later that morning saying he had to be taken to the ER. His manager had approved the inspection. Monday morning, I get a text from the salesman, his manager changed his mind, asked me to find an inspection place within a 5-mile radius. There is no place that can properly inspect this car within that radius, they obviously know this. I spoke to the VA Maserati dealership twice, very nice people there. They told me never purchased a car like that without inspection. Long story short. You got to be really stupid if you buy any car from Arlington Auto Group. It's that simple. Very unethical dealership. More
