On 12/10/12 my wife took our 2009 Matrix to Antwerpen for a routine oil change. Antwerpen's technician checked for other items needing attention. Antwerpen claimed that transmission fluid was leaking from a routine oil change. Antwerpen's technician checked for other items needing attention. Antwerpen claimed that transmission fluid was leaking from the drain plug and that a $109.95 repair was necessary. My wife contacted me about this. I did not have Antwerpen perform this repair since the check engine light was not on and I never observed fluid on the driveway spot where we always park this car. After my wife got home I went to check the transmission fluid level. I discovered that because we have a standard transmission there is no transmission dipstick. However, I looked under the car and did not observe any leak. To assure that I was not mistaken about a leak I took my car to another Toyota mechanic the following day. I asked that they inspect for a transmission fluid drain plug leak. They did and thereafter advised that the transmission fluid drain plug was dry and there was no evidence of a transmission fluid leak!! More
It doesn't matter if you call him MITCHELL, or Rocky, or Mr. BROWN but you should call him. Matthew 16:18 "and on this rock I will build..." comes to mind when reviewing Sales Consultant ROCKY at Antwerpen Mr. BROWN but you should call him. Matthew 16:18 "and on this rock I will build..." comes to mind when reviewing Sales Consultant ROCKY at Antwerpen Toyota MD. He was the stable foundation that supported my new vehicle purchase. I did all my research online, I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. Reps at other dealers tried to change my mind or tried to steer me in a more expensive direction. ROCKY RESPECTED my decision and quickly headed to a 'sister dealership'; picked up the exact vehicle I wanted and drove it back to Antwerpen Toyota for me. ROCKY is COMMUNICATIVE (he kept me updated thru texts); INFORMATIVE; PERSONABLE and UNDERSTANDING. You can be confident that Rocky will be a sentinel you can trust. A PROFESSIONAL APPROACHABLE automotive expert who can explain every dealer detail and then leave his desk to go out to the (freezing) parking lot to attach your temporary tag. Go to 12420 Auto Dr, Clarksville MD and meet ROCKY before corporate lures their best employee to Toyota City, Japan. More

My wife and I have been loyal Toyota Customers. Always prompt service and rarely ever have an issue that cant be fixed in a timely manner. Oil changes take about one hour and I wish they would clean the prompt service and rarely ever have an issue that cant be fixed in a timely manner. Oil changes take about one hour and I wish they would clean the inside of the camry. But the outside is always washed for us. We have a new service man who is working out fine we had yale or jim for years who took great care of us. More
I'm guessing the people who wrote 5 star ratings haven't looked online and researched for the prices or don't know how much it really is to fix/service a car. We used to go to this dealership a lot because looked online and researched for the prices or don't know how much it really is to fix/service a car. We used to go to this dealership a lot because of these little warning lights to go to maintenance. When we go here, we're always charged a lot just to inspect the vehicle, change oil, and other basic stuff. The breaking point was when our VSA light turned on and our car slowed down. My dad took it to this dealership, they took a look at it and said there was a problem with the entire wiring thing and that they'll need about $2k to repair it. I asked someone else who has 50+ years of experience as a mechanic and he said it's not the whole wiring but just a part that can be fixed for at most $350. Big difference! The mechanics here didn't even seem to know what the real problem was with our car so they just went with the classic "we just need to replace everything and that should fix it" solution so they can charge more. I recently also viewed a car we're interested in. It's $2k more (I'm sure not including all the other extra charges they'll add on) than the average price that people are getting it for. They're not that competitive. I guess these high prices have to do with their wealthy surrounding area. Yes, the staff here may be friendly and all but if you want great deals when buying a car or servicing your car, this is not really the place for you. More
After a week-long discussion with the dealership on buying a used car, I was told that if I brought a cashier's check that they would more than likely accept it. I even went so far as to send them a c buying a used car, I was told that if I brought a cashier's check that they would more than likely accept it. I even went so far as to send them a copy of the cashier's check and the amount I had made it out for. After driving an hour to complete the deal, when filling out the paperwork, I was told that the price would be $2,000 (including $900 in "fees", no taxes or title included) over my cashier's check of which they had had a copy of for 3 days. I was told this was the final word of some mystery manager who never bothered to come meet with me, even though I was the only person in the used car area at the time. I waited an hour and called back to offer a slightly higher price, but was treated rather badly by the salesperson. So I hung up and took my check and left. I was being played from the beginning and lost an entire day of work because of it. Do. Not. Appreciate. If I could give zero stars to the whole experience, I would. More

My wife had been looking for a new Camary Hybrid and wanted to trade in her Ford Flex. She had gone to two other dealers and both of them gave her low ball offers on her trade and acted like she was jus wanted to trade in her Ford Flex. She had gone to two other dealers and both of them gave her low ball offers on her trade and acted like she was just some silly house wife. At one of the dealers I had to remind them to direct their questions to my wife as she was the one making the purchase not me. Things were very very different at this dealership. Marvin listened and discussed the transaction with my wife. He and the sales manager Sean were quick to give us a very fair trade in and a great price on our new Camary. Our 5 year old did not even have time to become impatient before we driving away in our new car. What I appreciate most is that I did not have to spend 2.5 hours for them to let me know if they could do the deal or not. I am a raving fan of Marvin and this dealership. Everyone was very professional and they did not talk about how to earn my business - they earned it by their performance. If you want to buy a car then you need to go to a dealer that wants to sell you a car. I am so impressed that I am going to trade in my Honda Accord on a new Camary. Awesome transaction! Thank you Marvin. More
Hybrid battery ($4000) had to be replaced right after the warranty expired. I was bombarded with extended warranty coverage offers prior to and subsequent to the repair. Dealer doesn't perfor warranty expired. I was bombarded with extended warranty coverage offers prior to and subsequent to the repair. Dealer doesn't perform manufacturer recommended service at such as changing the spark plugs, change cabin and engine air filters as recommended in owners manual but performs something called A/B/C service which doesn't include the primary manufacturer recommendations. Service price is 2 times the going rate in the area for the service. They do make suggestions for additional repairs at additional cost such as a minor tear in a rear windshield wiper. At one point I was told the wipers needed replacement (which hadn't been apparent). The replacement pair functioned worse. For the last major maintenance the warning light appeared one week later and required a return to the dealer. The cost for diagnosis $176 "that will apply to the repair." Payed over $800 to have air conditioning repaired. Over a year later and several more attempts the air conditioning still doesn't work. What more could one ask for: SERVICE, proper service at a reasonable cost--not manicures, Starbucks coupons, donuts, rental cars that come with inflated service costs. More
