My sales rep Bernard was so helpful (even though he was not a used car sales person) he gave so much information on the hybrids and all the Prius stock at the dealership. I ended up choosing the used Prius that I had come to see and Bernard was there every step of the way. He was not pushy with the purchase but very attentive and informative. I love the car and would for sure reccomend Antwerpen Toyota and especially Bernard as a sales rep. This was the best car buying experience and I credit most of this to Bernard. More

No Mention of Charges When I Made Appointment The Airbag Warning Lamp for Passenger Airbag came on in 2009. I made an appointment to have it looked at on 9/14/2011. I was asked to agree to a diagn The Airbag Warning Lamp for Passenger Airbag came on in 2009. I made an appointment to have it looked at on 9/14/2011. I was asked to agree to a diagnostic fee which I did. They could not find out how to fix it and I had to leave without the problem fixed after paying the diagnostic fee of $60. Since then I have never been back because I felt that I should not have been charged a fee when they could not find the issue for me. Recently I received a Warranty Enhancement Notification - ZTX which discusses what appears to be my problem. The letter clearly states the following: "Any Toyota Dealership will determine if the condition is covered by this Warranty Enhancement at no charge to you. If the airbag warning lamp is illuminated to some other condition not described in this owner letter, additional diagnostics and repairs could be your responsibility" So I called Antwerpen on 6/2/2014 and talked to a lady about the problem. She asked me to bring it in and mentioned it would take about 2-3 hours to look at. I decided to take a 7:30am appointment and wait. There was no mention of a diagnostic charge. Today I arrived at 7:25am and was met with Jay Tauber who immediately mentioned he had wanted to call me but did not have a number. He then explained that I would have to agree to a diagnostic charge. The diagnostic charge would be waived only if the issue was determined to be a result of the issue described in the warranty enhancement. For any other issue or repair I would be responsible for diagnostics and additional charges. I mentioned that I had already paid for diagnostics once and did not feel like paying for it again because I would have to rely on their word that the issue was unrelated. I wanted then to honor the spirit of the letter that they should determine free of charge if my issue is what is described in the Toyota letter. I am not interested in additional diagnostics or repairs. Jay mentioned that I would have to agree to the diagnostic charge first because, "the mechanic is not going to work for free." I mentioned that I was only interested in diagnostics to determine if my problem is related to the warranty letter and not any additional diagnostics or repairs. Jay mentioned he could not do free diagnostics for me. At this point I chose to leave the dealership. More

We did our research first, arriving at Antwerpen with a list of options we wanted and did not want in our new car, and a price we were looking to pay. Robert patiently reviewed our list with us, showed us several cars on the dealership lot and took us for a test drive. These were nice cars, but included some features we did not want. Robert did some online searching and found a Camry Hybrid in Virginia that more closely matched our list. We bought the Camry at a good price, which Robert picked up and drove back to the dealership the next day. The parts department did a professional job installing the aftermarket options we wanted (body side moulding, all weather mats.) The car was clean and in perfect condition when we picked it up. James did a great job walking us through the interior features on the Camry, and even linked our cell phones to the car via Bluetooth. Outstanding customer service - highly recommended. More

Our recommendation is not based just on price, although that was competitive... We also had one of cars, that had some minor body damage that was not noticed until days after the all the paperwork was done. They took the car, repaired it, and brought it back, all free of charge. They have always answered our e-mails, or phone calls, and had prompt follow up to any of our multitude of questions. May 7th, 2014. More

I went to Antwerpen in Clarksville because I work nearby as a school teacher. We were greeted by a salesman while looking around the lot on Presidents' Day. We explained what it was we were looking for, a Toyota Camry SE. The nightmare with Antwerpen began then. In short I was required to put a $500 deposit down for them to source the color I wanted! My friend came in to test drive the vehicle at my request. As we attempted to work out the details over the next several days, our sales rep "left" the company. The new rep. Robert exchanged multiple texts/emails with my friend working out an acceptable price. As a precaution based on the bait and switch stories we had heard from friends, we sent one last correspondence to Robert the day of our appointment to close on the car. It was no surprise to learn that Robert's folder was for a lower end model (LE) of the Camry, not an SE. Outraged, my friend wondered how this could happen as he stressed SE, not LE, in his emails to Robert and his conversations with both his predecessor and Matt in finance. We walked away, although Robert apologized and attempted to negotiate a better price on an SE. We actually have a text where he stated he had an SE ready for our 4PM appointment that day! Disappointed but still hopeful, I recently went back and was offered a deal on a newer model of an SE. I liked that car. Jeff, the sales manager gave me hard copy of pricing for an SE and the newer SE 2014.5. No surprise to find that he left off $500 of the $1000 incentive for the 2014.5 (which is all over Toyota's internet). No surprise that he did not return my friend's call as we once again tried to finalize the purchase. Robert however, came back into the fold and left me a message today!? We have decided to try other dealers in the area, even at a higher price. More
My wife was in the market for a new Prius when our old one died. 8 months pregnant and with a 2-year old already here in the mix, we needed an effortless car buying experience and couldn't deal with negot one died. 8 months pregnant and with a 2-year old already here in the mix, we needed an effortless car buying experience and couldn't deal with negotiating in the dealership given the likelihood of toddler melt downs. We figured we would have to go to the no haggle place down the road out of convenience and pay more for the car, but we tried contacting several internet sales managers at traditional car dealerships just in case a compelling deal could be made remotely. Every place we contacted before Antwerpen treated internet leads as a way to promise big savings online (#s actually weren't much better than CarMax), but insisted that we "come to the dealership to negotiate our best price." It seemed that they totally bypassed the part of my email about needing to have a deal in place before coming to the dealership. Sean Rozanski from Antwerpen's Internet sales emailed us, asked about our circumstances, and asked for our offer. He respected us wanting to exchange information in email and didn't push phone calls or dealer visits (which made this the only dealership with actively chose to call by the way). Within an hour, he and sales consultant Paul Tseng had the car we wanted for the price we wanted. We drove to Antwerpen waiting to get there and find out that there were several additional dealer add ons or fees that weren't discussed via email or on the phone. For the record, there were dealer enhancements made to the car that were not on the comparable models at the other dealerships in the area, but the deal when we got there was exactly the deal we had negotiated in advance - NO BLIND SIDING, NO TRICKS. IT WAS A COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT PROCESS. Paul even managed to keep our toddler entertained with cartoons on his computer while paperwork was being drawn up. Josh in finance also deserves kudos for clearly answering all of our questions. Skeptics by nature, we were blown away by our experience at Antwerpen. Consider us customers for life. More
