False Advertising I made an appointment to look at a car. My wife and I decided to purchase the 04 Toyota Corolla listed at 7500 dollars. After arrival the used manager insisted on increasing the price by 1495 dollars to cover their costs. So the actual cost was 8995. He said "do you think someone would come in here to buy that car if I included all the costs." This is classic false advertising. I won't go back. Based on reviews on Yelp and Consumer Affairs-- my review is not unique. Many, many people have had the same experience. Yes I was shooting for a low cost car, but they need to be up front about the actual price. More

My sales consultant, Bernard, was extremely helpful and professional, and contacted me prior to my arrival to discuss the car I wanted to purchase. Upon my arrival, he explained to me the details of the car and what I could expect in terms of ongoing maintenance. He offered me the price on their Internet site, in addition to a fair price for my RAV4. He walked me through the process of financing and ensured my satisfaction at every point. After I had purchased the car, he followed up with me a couple of days later to make sure I was satisfied with the purchase, and even returned items to me that I had mistakenly left in my old car. It was a terrific and stress-free experience and I highly recommend Bernard and Antwerpen overall. They are a first-rate organization! More

Long Story – Read on: I was in the market for a small car, to replace my Nissan Sentra. I was planning on replacing Sentra with the new Sentra, so that is where I started my search from. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make a deal with both the Nissan dealerships that I visited. Didn’t want to buy a Honda, because I already own one, so thought why not give Toyota a shot. I never ever owned a Toyota branded vehicle. Owned a Scion tC at one point, but that car does not wear a Toyota badge, instead, wears a youngster oriented Scion badge. So technically, this was my very first Toyota Badged purchase. I have been to Antwerpen Toyota a few times to get my Scion Serviced, so I knew where they were. So I thought why not give them a chance and see what they have to offer. Did a bit of a research on Prius and decided to give the hybrid technology a chance. I checked around another Toyota closer to my work for the prices of Prius, but their prices were a bit higher. Antwerpen was running some special incentives on the MLK weekend so I thought I will go and check them out. I pinged James on the chat and asked him about a particular stock number. He got back to me and told me that they had that one. I asked if he can give me the OTD price over the chat, he came back after 2 - 3 minutes with the OTD price. His price was a bit high, higher than what I wanted to spend, so I dropped by the dealership the next day, since I was pretty set on buying the car over the weekend. Let’s just say that James took every effort to make the deal happen. I had the appraisal of my car from Carmax (Will highly recommend all the potential buyers to try that if you want the best trade-in price, if you haven’t already), so the trade-in price was not much of an issue. The best thing that I liked about James was that he didn’t drag his feet like some of the other sales people do. He was constantly trying to expedite the whole process, which is a major plus for me. I don’t like to sit around at the dealership wondering what the heck is going on. In this case, James constantly tried to take care of everything as they came, and also kept me informed on what was going on. Major points for that. So in short, I am very pleased with the way James processed my purchase. Whenever I am in the market for a car, or if I know any of my friends and/or family members in the market, I will definitely send them to James, no question there. . More

I received a poster by mail promising to forgive the excess mileage on my previously leased Camry without any additional charges if I sign a new car lease with them. I did sign the lease but one month later I received a bill for excess mileage, which is in the collections now. I tried to talk to sales personal and manager but they said they never issued the poster and called me a liar. This could happen to you. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! More
