I came in with a misfire issue and told that it was caused by a carbon buildup and a maintenance issue not covered under warranty. The fix would cost me over $400. I said to Brian "xxxxxxxxx", how am I supposed to know there is a carbon buildup when there are no senors or lights to reflect to tell be there is a carbon buildup, especially on a car with only 25,000 miles. Brian advised that he would see if he could get the charge for the service lowered. He got the service down to $232 by applying some of the diagnostic work to the warranty. A big difference from over $400. Why don't your service advisors research the best possible cost before dropping a bomb shell on the customer regarding the cost of a repair. Like Comcast, they raise the cost of service but find a way to lower the service when you complain. More
Brought car in for check engine light. Paid $600 for repair. Didn’t get off the lot and light was back on. It’s my college daughter’s car so she was due to return to school. Service guy Paid $600 for repair. Didn’t get off the lot and light was back on. It’s my college daughter’s car so she was due to return to school. Service guy reset light. Said it shouldn’t come back on. Sitting in the service bay and it came back on. He stated he didn’t know what I should do if it happened while she was on the road traveling back. Service manager came out and took the car to the back and changed another part. Not sure it will last but if it returns I will be back for a full refund and I will have to take it to a dealership where my daughter is in school More
