We decided to try to speed up things by getting preapproved online. After being preapproved within 5 minutes, Shy Christakos, from Milford Subaru, contacted us to let us know she was willing to earn our business and set up an appointment. We came down to the dealership with our 6 month year old hoping for the best. It was a rainy Saturday and the show room was filled with customers. Shy quickly found us, apologized for crowd, and got us a sales person (Joe) who ushered us a couple of cars to test drive. When we returned with an idea of model and color and sat down with Joe who gave us his best price. We were negotiating a trade as well and countered with our price. Shy came over and went through all the numbers and noticed that the baby was getting restless. She said she really didn't want us to leave without a car, but understood that the baby needed to come first. She told us that she would work through the numbers and contact us to see if she could meet our number on the trade. Later that day, Shy contacted us and got the deal done. My wife came down a couple days later to sign the paper work and pick up the new car. The total time spent at the dealership was all of 2 hours and the customer experience will bring us back to purchase another car here. Thank you Shy and Joe. More

Buying a new car When I first walked in, I wasn't expecting much. I was feeling like I should turn around and say forget it. I didn't do that. I met Kevin who helped me figure out I could afford a step up from the basic model. I got the emerald green and I was so excited for the color. The other sales people were very welcoming, one even offered me a refreshment. Once the approvals were done, I met Jeff, the finance director. He was awesome and really helped with my percentage rate, he went above and beyond. Everyone was professional and fun. More

After speaking with the "Big Guys" down the road and being totally turned off by their pompous attitude, I was actually told that I would be back to them since they are the Northeast's largest volume dealer. I asked for an e-price off the Milford website and it went from there. From the very first phone inquiry to driving off the lot with my new car, I couldn't be happier. Both James and Erik (or maybe it was the same one the entire time since they are twins haha) were extremely helpful and listened to what I was looking for. I was introduced to Kevin Sutter and he was my salesman for then on. I was able to configure a vehicle to my liking with one that was in transit which was exactly what i was looking for. I called or emailed them a handful of times asking questions and adding more options as time went since the car wasnt at port yet, all communication was instant, professional and friendly. Upon arrival I met with all 3 guys again and their professionalism didnt change. I was shown around the showroom and service center and everyone seemed happy to be there. I wasnt forced to buy anything that I didnt want to and drove away knowing that I will be a repeat customer and will do what I can to pass along the good word that this is a great place to buy a Subaru! Given today's hectic world when everyone is on the go I can safely say that I'm very happy to have found a small dealer that is there for you and your not just a number. More
Bought a Forester here 5 years ago and have always had it serviced here, and enjoyed the friendliness and 'smallness' of the place (meant in a good way - they make you feel comfortable). Laura 1st helped me - said they have no base models, but talked me into test driving a 'Premier' (next step up) edition. Comes with more bells & whistles than I wanted, and also had tinted glass, which I didn't think I'd like. She suggested I come drive it at night. Joe, who sold me a car 5 years ago, took over the sale and gave me a great price on a trade-in for my 2009 Subaru and also a great price on the 2014. Bought it contingent on a night test drive, which worked out well - the tinted glass doesn't cut down on visibility as much as I thought, so we bought it. Very happy with paperwork process - finance guy explained options for extended warranties, but didn't push, just handled the paperwork expeditiously, was out of there in an hour after car serviced and gased up. More

This was the best car buying experience of my life. After looking at 2 other dealerships this past weekend and getting nowhere, my husband emailed Zoey at Subaru of Milford, he explained that because After looking at 2 other dealerships this past weekend and getting nowhere, my husband emailed Zoey at Subaru of Milford, he explained that because my Honda failed inspection I wanted to trade it in for a 2014 Impreza. He said what we could afford and that he needed an answer quickly before I went to repair my old car. WOW! Was I surprised when they said that Kevin would go get the color I wanted, and we could come in the next day to get it. I was so skeptical that the whole way there I didn't get excited. My husband and I were greeted by Laura because Kevin was not there yet. When Kevin arrived he quickly got the transaction moving. Then we were greeted by James and he later called us into his office with all the paperwork ready, no hassles, just following through with their word. The payments were exactly what we could afford. I was so excited that there were no arguments, battles, or game playing. There were so many people that helped make this transaction happen that it was not your usual sales person and buyer experience.This is a truly unique place; filled with people that are really kind and looking to make your day special. I cannot thank them enough for the ease of purchasing my new AWD vehicle just in time for winter. THANKS A MILIION! More
Recently purchased a new car at this dealer and wished I had gone elsewhere. I've bought over a dozen cars over the years and this was one of the worst experiences. The sales person was a cliche of typical car sales techniques. The sales manager was no different with double talk and refusal to write down the offer. When we called back a week later, the features and price had changed of course. Service was terrible, we were repeated required to wait from a 1/2 hr to 1 hr, even when we called ahead and requested a time we could come in without waiting. From sales, to financing manager, to inspection check, to pickup of the car....we waited over and over. There was a total disregard for the value of our time and the inconvenience. The staff moved like snails oblivious to the fact that we had called ahead and had been waiting a long time. The irony of the whole experience is that they tout their "stellar" rating as a dealer over and over during the process. This is supposed to mean they rate as one of the highest service oriented Subaru dealer. If I hadn't been so annoyed, it would have been comical. We went here because they had the car we needed in stock. I wish we had gone with manchester. Their price was the same and the sales experience was better. I would have waited a two weeks, but it probably would have been worth the wait to avoid the hassles at milford. I doubt I'll go to milford for any service. More
This place is amazing. It was my first time buying a car from a dealer and I'm thrilled with the experience! They worked with me from across the country to get me exactly the car I wanted. We also were able to agree on a great price for the car that worked for both me and the dealership. These wonderful folks even offered to go out of their way to pick me up at the airport for my test drive! I'm still blown away by the amazing customer service. There were no hidden fees, they worked quickly to get information to and from my bank regarding the financing. From across the country I was afraid of unexpected surprises but did not come upon a single one- aside from pleasant surprises that is! And of course, the car is wonderful! It has been well maintained, Frank pulled up and printed all the history details for my records, it was spotlessly clean and polished. The car was updated with an oil change, new brakes, a new battery, etc. After searching literally all over the country for my car I'm so glad it was with Frank at Milford Subaru! Mel handled the finance details quickly and skillfully. They both took every detail of my new ownership into great consideration and it was all handled within an hour. Frank and Mel even recommended a wonderful place to stop and eat along my travels and it was also to die for! (my next review) My first experience with a dealership didn't have to be spectacular, but thanks to all the kind folks at Milford Subaru, I'm absolutely blown away! And I love my car! Thanks Milford Subaru! I'll likely travel back for my next auto purchase! More
