Not what things seemed. Bought a 2004 Volvo XC-90. The price was reasonable for what I thought I was getting. The problems started immediately with issues that were not cover Bought a 2004 Volvo XC-90. The price was reasonable for what I thought I was getting. The problems started immediately with issues that were not covered by the warranty. The anti-skid system quit working just after driving off the lot. My mechanic was able to send the part to Sweden for repair and saved me money compared to cost of going to the Volvo dealer. The mechanic noted that the transmission was not the original and it appeared one from a junk yard had been installed. This was not noted on the CarFax. The Carfax indicated that the previous owner kept the car dealer maintained. The transmission seemed to be working fine until after I drove it to NY before Christmas. The transmission started leaking afterwards. A bottle of stop leak slowed things for about a month and now it is bleeding badly. I also had to replace the struts to smooth out the ride. I have put about $3500 into repairs, much related to the shoddy work replacing the transmission. Looking at another $1100 to repair the leak but no telling how long the transmission will last after that. Recommend getting any car bought from these guys checked by a mechanic who knows what he is doing. More
