Jeep Detailing I bought my brand new Jeep at Allen Samuels about 3 yrs. ago. I had a great experience. I recently bought a certified preowned Jeep for my great nie I bought my brand new Jeep at Allen Samuels about 3 yrs. ago. I had a great experience. I recently bought a certified preowned Jeep for my great nieces, and it was a great jeep. They were happy, Before I bought the Jeep, I sat in it, and it definitely needed some detailing and had some spots on the seats, and I could smell cigarette smoke. Yes, I know that would be hard to get out, but I mentioned it to Joe Ayala, the Sales Manager in pre-owned, and asked if they would get that out. He said, oh yeah, it will be detailed, and there will be no problem. I took him at his word. I bought the Jeep in cash, and they had it for at least 2 days to work on it. The day they told me it was ready, I got my family and the 2 nieces , to meet me at the dealership. We looked at the Jeep, and the first thing I noticed was the cigarette smoke smell, and those spots on the seats. I wanted to say hey, this is not detailed to my liking, look at the spots and smell the smoke, but what could I do? They had already seen it and wanted to take it home. They would have been mighty disappointed if they would have had to have left it there another day or two, so the job could have been done right. So, I did not say anything. Truly, the Jeep looked as if it had maybe been wiped down with a rag that had armor all on it, but even that had streaks. I let it go, but I have been thinking about it ever since. The more I think about it, the more I knew I needed to tell someone. I should have spoken up right then and there, and now I wish I had. I really expected much better from Allen Samuels on this one. I love this dealership and the people in it, but I have never met the people who do the detailing, and I think they need to take better care when doing this job, not only for my vehicle, but for any customer's vehicle. More
