Purchased a New Tahoe from Tim Stoddard and am very pleased with the services received from him and the Stanford-Allen Team. I used to live in Michigan but moved to Florida a few years ago. The service pleased with the services received from him and the Stanford-Allen Team. I used to live in Michigan but moved to Florida a few years ago. The service throughout the purchasing process was supreme, and the deal was fair enough that buying with Stanford-Allen in MI even though I live 1000+ miles away still made sense. i would recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used car... near or far, the service is worth the drive. -Satisfied from FL More

Not only did we rely on the online ad, but both my husband and I spoke to the dealer numerous times. My husband was assured the vehicle was in excellent condition. After nearly a week of waiting for weather to cooperate and a $100 deposit (we've been told will be refunded on our card), we made the 3.5 hour drive from Bad Axe to Monroe. Our son made the drive (on winter roads) from Kalamazoo in about 2.5 hours. We were all meeting at the dealership, to help him purchase a replacement vehicle for his 2004 mustang that was totalled in November. Just to emphasize the comparison, he paid the $5500 asking price, from a private seller. The car he bought was pristine and had approx. 86,000 miles. After totalling his car after only 6 months, the insurance paid him almost the full sale price; they paid out over $5200. Stanford-Allen was asking $4969 for a 2004 Mustang, before the nearly $1000 in ancillary charges. Their 2004 Mustang had 116,000 miles and was advertised as being in "Excellent Condition". What a joke. Should've known from the blurry passenger side, online photo...the rear wheel well had an extensive, visible area where the clear coat was simply gone. The passenger side door also had obvious, blistering paint. A car in excellent condition would NOT need a paint job. Upon inspection of the interior, there was a distinct patch job on the back seat. The worst part was the disingenuous salesperson, Brian. He did leave telltale clues, that he was a "used car salesman". When I emailed him to breakdown the $1000 over the sale price, he never replied. When my husband pinned him down on the phone, he indicated aside from sales tax and transfers, that the added charges were for doc & dealer fees. After I contacted the State of Michigan, I was told (and found the info to print out-) a max of $200 could indeed, be charged for the doc fees. I called again, to inquire what the approximately $320 remaining charges represented. Brian informed me that they were for inspecting the vehicle, making sure all the fluids, etc., were good...I'm not completely stupid. I informed him, ah...no...that's all supposed to be included in the sales price. He actually told me I was right, and that he'd call me back. He knew we were leaving to get down there before they closed, and he in fact, never called back. Aside from the unsightly exterior, damaged interior and suspiciously strong odor of air freshener, the worst was yet to come. Brian told my husband the car needed a new battery. When my husband lifted the hood, the battery was missing the brackets that hold it in place. One of the other dealers came out (apparently seeing that things weren't going so well) and I don't know if he thought he was flattering my husband, but it was insulting when he told my husband (a former diesel and auto mechanic)that he was very knowledgeable. He went on to tell my husband that he seemed more than able to make any repairs. Seriously? What if some sap who knew nothing about cars was interested? They clearly had not a single qualm about the potential of the battery bouncing around and possibly ruining the battery, breaking the fan or putting a hole in the radiator. I can't even begin to describe what I think of individuals so lacking in moral character. Honestly, even after the combined round-trip drive of over 12 hours, it was an incredible demonstration of why used car salesmen have the reputations they've acquired. On the bright side, both our son and daughter (a med school grad) got the lesson of their lives. More

i originally went in for a used vehicle which turned uot to be the wrong way to go for me because i had a high negative equity and there were several great savings on new pick up trucks and it was sudgested to be the wrong way to go for me because i had a high negative equity and there were several great savings on new pick up trucks and it was sudgested that i try going that route so i did and it was difficult to get me approved for an interest rate i could afford to pay on due to my credit score and they bent over backwards finds loop holes and tricks and miraculously i drove home with a nice new truck thanks to their over extended efforts so i highly recomend this dealership. The reason I rated this dealership with all 5's and would recommend it is due to my salesman Craig Sauer. Craig takes his time with you and goes over everything about the choices you are about to make. When recommend it is due to my salesman Craig Sauer. Great dealership. They tried to get me a car in my price range but they couldn't find one, but it wasn't from lack of effort. After giving them my information, my sales rep John Keplesh called me daily to range but they couldn't find one, but it wasn't from lack of effort. After giving them my information, my sales rep John Keplesh called me daily to let me know about cars they had in stock, or could find at auction. I ultimately found a car at a different dealer, but I would recommend Standford-Allen to anyone. More
Drove a new 2011 Equinox in March/April this year. Had no contact or follow up. We didn't think Stanford/Allen wanted our business, we went to Randy Wise Chevrolet in Milan and bought the new Equinox. no contact or follow up. I walked into the dealerhip with not meaning to buy a car and left that day with a brand new impala. Tim Stoddard seems to be very young but treated this older couple like he parents or grandparents. My entire experience at Stanford - Allen was simply, incredible. Tim Stoddard stayed after work twice. The first time was to talk to me a little about the vehicle I was looking at, and the second nigh incredible. Tim Stoddard stayed after work twice. The first time was to talk to me a little about the vehicle I was looking at, and the second night was to help me finalize the purchase of the car. Further, the next day that I came in, Tim was busy with another customer, but he took the time to have another sales representative to greet me in the lot and to help me with further research on the purchase of my new car. The dealership was very friendly and discreetly professional. They worked with me on the price of my trade in vehicle. Additionally, Tim spent time with me showing me how the car works. I was thoroughly impressed with his commitment to customer service, his transparency on negotionations, and his desire to see me get a good deal on a car. Instead of cutting the throat to the goose that lays the golden egg (me), Stanford - Allen has gone a very long way in my returning to deal with them again in the future. More
