I had an early appointment for recommended maintenance and worked with Chaun. He was great with keeping me informed about what was going on with my car and answered all of my questions about future servic and worked with Chaun. I was not pleased with the service. I just got my windows tinted and politely asked them not to roll my windows down, and they did. Frankly, I don’t generaly like to write reviews, but, I felt compelled after my service experience at Alexandria VW. while this was not my first service experience with the dealership, my other 5 or so e felt compelled after my service experience at Alexandria VW. while this was not my first service experience with the dealership, my other 5 or so experiences there left me equally disappointed. Needless to say, this will be my final visit to their service department. Today, I was met by Kevin Alvarado, the service department representative, who seemed completely disinterested when I approached the counter. When I mentioned I had an appointment for an oil change and had a coupon from their website for service specials, he immediately told me the special did not apply to my car. Rather than the $79 oil change special, I would have to pay $140+. I reminded him that i had used the service special last year without a problem, he thought for a moment and said, “Well, the prices have gone up”. Clearly not the case and When I asked him to explain, he seemed annoyed and told me I could go next door to Jiffy Lube (I think?) and could get it there cheaper. I was surprised by his response and reviewed the service special description with him where no exclusion of my vehicle was mentioned. He was curt and dismissive and Repeated his earlier response that the special did not include my car. Having No options, I agreed and asked when the car would be ready. He said he could not be sure, but if I was in a hurry, the Jiffy Lube next door does the oil change in ten minutes, and…..I could go there. 2 1/2 hours later my car was ready. The outside had gone thru a quick wash but the drivers seat, door and floor mats were filthy…. When I checked the oil level, it was short a half a quart or more. Need I say more? More
Unexpected, exceptional service! I had an emergency due to an issue with my Parking ready and was leaving on vacation in 5 days.. I called multiple dealers in the area and no one was willing or able to get me in for over a month.. then Michael Welch at Alexandria answered the phone and saved the day! There was no run around about availability, he said bring the car in and we will take care of you.. He got me in, and the vehicle was repaired and I was back on the road the same day.. During the process there was frequent communication and options provided to me. The entire staff was respectful, attentive and friendly!!! More
I brought my 2021 Jetta in for the 10k service since my oil change said it needed to be done in 1,400 miles. So as I was passing by about 8 am on Saturday I pulled in with no appointment just to see.... a oil change said it needed to be done in 1,400 miles. So as I was passing by about 8 am on Saturday I pulled in with no appointment just to see.... and I was taken care of by Julian Leath who immediately attended to me, told me to just leave the keys in the car and would get the work done fairly quickly. That fairly quickly was just about 90 minutes from the time I dropped off the keys to the time it was finished, and included a full oil and filter change along with the 10k mile interval service.... All I can say is BRAVO Alexandria VW!!!! Exceeded my expectations since I arrived without an appointment!! RR More
I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN AT THE TIME APPOINTED CHECK IN WAS EASY. A FEW HOURS LATER CHECKED ON MY VEHICLE I WAS TOLD IT WASNT READY YET HALF HOUR LATER WAS CALLED AND TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS READY EVERYTHING WAS C EASY. A FEW HOURS LATER CHECKED ON MY VEHICLE I WAS TOLD IT WASNT READY YET HALF HOUR LATER WAS CALLED AND TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS READY EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETE THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT THANKS TO (RAPHAELLE) WHO WAS GREAT AS WELL!!!!!!! I had an 7:30 appointment on Wednesday , Sept 08, 2021 for a 2020 Jetta recall and also to determine why the coolant fluid sign had appeared on my dashboard. That same afternoon, I called to check on the for a 2020 Jetta recall and also to determine why the coolant fluid sign had appeared on my dashboard. That same afternoon, I called to check on the status of the repair and was informed by the adviser that it's not ready and that he will check with the technician/mecanic and will call me right back. Not hearing back from him, I took Uber from my work (in DC) all the way to the dealership to pick up my car, ooops it's was NOT ready, when supposedtly it should take about an hour to fix the recall (software) . I got so frustrated and simply decided to take my car and the xxxx with the recall. I will contact your corporate people and the people that sent the recall letter. More
Took my newly purchased 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan for service. Dropped it off at the dealer. Nearly five minutes after I left, I received a call. My car, while in the service department’s possession, was service. Dropped it off at the dealer. Nearly five minutes after I left, I received a call. My car, while in the service department’s possession, was hit — causing the door to come ajar from my car. The door was negligently left open and exposed to danger by the service department. The hit resulted in my car door being unable to fully close. I wouldn’t be so upset had VW Alexandria issued even a basic apology to me. But to this minute, I don’t think I’ve received one. My car is now at another collision shop and I’m stuck waiting for it to be fixed. Needless to say, I’ll be calling a lawyer. Maybe that will get their attention? More
