I took my kia forte to be check for stalling and after $1,700 they told me that they change the timing chain and that was noting else they could do and gave it back to me with the same stalling problem th $1,700 they told me that they change the timing chain and that was noting else they could do and gave it back to me with the same stalling problem that it went in for. Also when my wife went to pick it up the car stalled outside the dealer in Sebring just when she pulled out and they told her that she needed to get a tow truck, didn't even help a stranded customer. Now I found out that there is a recall for the oil pump that might damage the engine but they haven't call me about it. Allan Jay I hope you are aware of what your dealer are doing to the customer unless you are in it. More
This dealership was clean and welcoming. The general manager, Ted, was very helpful in helping me choose a new car and working it out with the lease car I had for only 6 months. They were honest and up manager, Ted, was very helpful in helping me choose a new car and working it out with the lease car I had for only 6 months. They were honest and upfront about everything. I love the car they picked out for me. Kyle Hemler was a fantastic salesman even though he was young, he knew his stuff. He was so polite and talkative which I liked. More

Visited the dealership last month, and this is my experience, as detailed in an email I sent to Mr. Swailes afterwards. In the interim, I have also discovered that they lied to me about my credit sco experience, as detailed in an email I sent to Mr. Swailes afterwards. In the interim, I have also discovered that they lied to me about my credit score, telling me it was almost 100 points less than it actually is. Why? Who knows, maybe so I would think I needed to accept financing they were pushing. (I have since purchased a vehicle elsewhere.) Hi Russell, Got your phone message, but most of it was too fuzzy to understand. I'm sorry you went to the trouble of getting the car ready, but I think you jumped the gun a little. I told you the numbers/deal had to work out, and they did not. A few comments about your associate, Mr. Jones: First of all, he did NOT find me the best financing. He initially offered me a loan at 5%+; I had to ask for something lower (he must get a kickback from Suntrust). The deal qualified for 2.99 from MidFlorida, but I shouldn't have to ask for it. He continuously said he wanted me to 'be happy'. Not the way to do it. Secondly, I had a vague feeling that something wasn't 'right', but couldn't put my finger on it, since I hadn't considered a Sportage and didn't know anything about them (a dealer's dream, no doubt). I really thought I might be back to buy the car today; wanted to think about it. But after I left, I did a little research (the bane of Alan Jay, I'm sure) and the starting price they're asking is equivalent to the MSRP/dealer invoice for a new, 2012 Sportage, which we all know is NOT what you pay anyway. This information comes from multiple sources (KBB.com, Consumer Reports, Consumers Digest...). According to KBB.com, the fair market value for that car, certified and with that mileage, is $17,269. Also from KBB.com, the trade-in value on my Subaru, even with its high mileage and its 'fair' condition, is $1999-2174. So, I was getting ripped off at both ends! Nice! Mr. Jones wanted me 'to be happy' because he referenced how I would talk to people about my good or bad experience with Alan Jay Kia. Rest assured I will. I came in to Alan Jay when I was looking for my last car, and had almost the identical experience. Only tried it again because I would have thought that in 8 years, business practices would have evolved. No wonder internet sales are taking off. I realize that you get stuck in the middle between the customer and the bosses, but they need to get a clue. It's a nice car, but not 'an extra $4,000 nice'. I have no problem with businesses making a profit; that's just a little excessive, don't you think? If they want come up with a deal that's more equitable for all parties, I would consider it. If not, it was nice meeting you and good luck to you in your future sales. Regards, Lisa Greene More
We were greeted immediately by Mr. Rhodes and he was very friendly. He helped us with exactly what we had come in for. When we came into the Kia dealership we were pretty set on buying a Ford Edge. Liked the car itself & had a good price from a non-Alan Jay Ford dealer. Martin Rhodes gave us a great presentation on both the Kia Sorento & the smaller model (the name scapes me, sorry!) We (I) loved the Sorento! A great, solid car with most of the amenities we wanted. Price negotiation turned out very well.Martin's thorough knowledge of the Kia products was a major fact in us purchasing the Sorento I'm glad we stopped in. Grisel E. Upon arriving at the dealership, my wife and I saw the parking lot was bare which meant a couple of things and that was either they weren't keeping up on inventory because they were going to fold up OR th parking lot was bare which meant a couple of things and that was either they weren't keeping up on inventory because they were going to fold up OR they make that many sales that they can't keep up with the inventory. As we pulled into the parking lot, we were greeted by a young man. When we I told him we were looking for Martin Rhodes, he was already in the parking lot. When I introduced myself to him, we hit it off pretty well and we went to work. No messing around. Just straight up business. The experience was extremely pleasurable. We purchased the 2011 Sorento LX (base model). No fancy bells and whistles. It's just the stuff that I had in my old car (2008 Ford Focus SE) that I want in my new car. Martin pointed out THE Sorento. While color didn't make a difference, it was what the car had was what I wanted. We went inside and got right down to it. This was probably the most easiest transaction EVER made. Anyone looking for a Kia, you'd be stupid not to come here. I'm still blown away from the experience! Patrick (the sales manager) was awesome to deal with. Nice guy! Very friendly attitude! No sales pressure. As I said, I'm still amazed at the experience! I did meet Greg (Internet Manager) for about 5 mins, but because my daughter Kathryn was running around and playing with the golf xxxxx in the dealership, I had to keep the xxxxx from flying around the showroom. I didn't want to buy two cars (one new and one with broken windows) today. Greg, Patrick, and Martin - keep your schedules open...we're coming back in January for my wife's SORENTO (she's decided she wants one, as well). Who knows...we may be back sooner. It was truly a pleasure and Martin...don't worry about when that survey comes around....you already got your 10! :) Thank you!!! -Jason, Nora, & Kathryn Perretta Fort Myers, FL More
