I brought my truck into Crystal Lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in January/February 2024 to fix a hissing noise when turning the steering wheel and for some general maintenance. Unfortunately, after they replaced the power steering line, the issue worsened. When I brought the truck back, they installed a new hydroboost, but it was still worse than when I initially brought it in. In April, I then took my truck to Performance Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Centerville, Ohio, where they determined that Crystal Lake cdjr had installed the power steering line incorrectly, stripping the threads and causing a leak that contaminated the entire power steering system. As a result, I had to have the hydroboost, power steering lines, and pump replaced at a significant cost. After discussing the situation with the service manager, he agreed to reimburse me for the damage/misrepair caused by their team. I submitted all requested documentation, including invoices and photos, but communication has been extremely poor ever since. He assured me months ago that he would send the information to corporate and provide me with an update, but I have heard nothing since. It has now been 4-5 months with no resolution. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and follow-through. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience with both the repairs and their handling of the situation afterward. More
Right out of the gate, when I walked into the service dept (I did have an appt) person sitting at the desk ignored me. Finally when he did acknowledge me, he suggested I had 2 choices. I could get back in my car and drive it to the other side of the building, or he could walk me over to the other side of the building and he would drive the car over. I told him I can walk but you can move the car. I handed my keys over and left. Rude, rude, rude!! Customer service = 0. More
Huge service dept staff turnover. . Constant! They Lost my warranty paperwork. They don’t return phone calls. Lost the pictures they took of my corrosion and my extended warranty pape . Constant! Originally told me not to worry, I came in on time and there is a backup of orders to fix the problem. Basically screwed me over and now I am told I have to go through Chrysler but I am past the expiration date and now I am S.O.L. and have to fight with Chrysler. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!! Go somewhere else!!!!! More
Worst experience I’ve ever had at any dealership in 30 years. Make a 9:30 diagnostic service appointment a week ago. Show up, go to waiting room. Told they think they can do it tomorrow. Took the car without being serviced and will never go back. Was thinking about possibly trading vehicle or getting different vehicle. I purchased 2 vehicles here as the dealer is conveniently located minutes down the street from my home. I would not have purchased and or serviced my vehicles here if I knew that they had such poor to non-e located minutes down the street from my home. I would not have purchased and or serviced my vehicles here if I knew that they had such poor to non-existing customer service. The simple reason is that they do not get back to you when you call for service. They are always busy .. supposedly. I have waited in the dealer many times already for my vehicles and I see nothing but horseplay. Customer are placed on hold for unnecessary amount of time while the reps just xx around. I have had an issue with my truck since April 2023. The day service was done I picked up my truck after hours and the issue was there regarding my exhaust fumes filling the cab. I called for about 3 weeks to get my truck back in for service to no avail as my calls were not returned. I let it be as it was warmer weather and just kept the windows open. I now have been calling for 3 weeks and I am waiting for 3 folks to call me back to confirm and schedule to get this fixed. On my other vehicle that I purchased back in May 2023, I received a call from the dealer that it has to come in for firmware update on the system. I called back to schedule and find out how long it will take so I can plan accordingly. I was told I was going to get a call back as they needed to find this out. It is now going on 2 weeks waiting and I have since called back 4 times already and as usual, they are busy. They are too busy to give their customers a call back any time of the day during any given full day. I will work around my problem as I have with my truck already with another dealer and file a formal complaint with their corporate office. They will be missing out as well on the 2 or possibly 3 Ram trucks 2500 I have purchase for my employer right after the new year. So unfortunate that true customer service doesn't exist today anymore. The other issue with this dealer is that when you call, you are always hung up on and they still don't call you back. You can really tell that this place has new ownership. These guys are a joke. Quote you one price over the phone and then when you get there magically the price increases. How that state of Illinois isn’t closing this place amazes me especially since they have over 100 fraud claims filed with the attorney generals office. More
