If you are like me and have seen TONS of terrible reviews of this dealership, but you want to give them the benefit of the doubt because they have the vehicle you really want for seemingly the right price... of this dealership, but you want to give them the benefit of the doubt because they have the vehicle you really want for seemingly the right price.....just DONT!! Save yourself the time and frustration. I had been in contact via email with the sales manager for about 5 days before driving 4 hours to drive a truck I was interested in. I was very clear that I wanted to be notified up front of any surprise fees or anything not listed in the price breakdown before I made the trip. Sales manager does admit to their $2,000 "Pro Package Fee" which gets you basically a wax job, locking lug nuts, and door edge guards. An absolutely ridiculous addition in itself but I accepted this as I felt the truck was still worth it. I was also told to use the online trade in value tool powered by Edmunds through their website to get an idea of what my trade in was worth, and was told by sales manager that they are currently offering "above average trade in value for decent used vehicles." While my truck was 25 years old, it only had 60,000 miles and was certainly in better than average condition for its age. Their trade in tool gave me a range of 3-4K for trade in with average being $3500. After some poor communication on their end, I chose to make the drive early morning after leaving work at 5am to be there when they opened around 9am (as I was told they dont hold vehicles). They are very pleasant upon my arrival, and we take a good test drive. I love the truck and am ready to get paperwork signed and head home for some sleep. They hit me with the first surprise..... Omar supposedly from the finance department sends it down the line, "We are so sorry, sir, but because you are paying cash, the price of this truck is actually $5,000 more, the online price you saw is only if you are financing the vehicle, and you will have to finance at least $10,000 for that deal." I'm dumbfounded, this is certainly not listed in the disclaimer online, and I was assured I wouldn't be met with any surprises after driving 4 hours to test drive. When I ask for a logical explanation Omar admits that the lender gives them kickbacks, so I say you are telling me they will give you a 5K kickback if I borrow 10K?!? Omar says no I'm not saying that...... so I ask "so why would I pay you 5K to compensate for a lesser loss?" He had absolutely no answer, only repeating "this price is only if you finance." To add fuel to the frustration, they inform me that they are willing to give me $500 for my trade in, 3K less than I was led to believe based on the prior email exchanges and the online trade in tool. At this point I'm more than unimpressed, but I ask Omar to present me with an out the door price if I either pay cash or if I finance 10K. He comes back about 20 minutes later and says "I'm so sorry sir that truck has been sold!!!" I'm absolutely blown away at this point, I ask how it's even possible and he says "these people over here just bought it, they agreed to the financing before you." To think they would allow someone to travel 4 hours, let them drive the truck, and then sell it to someone else while we are negotiating and after almost of week of email correspondence, is unreal. This is absolutely the most unprofessional car dealership and maybe even the most unprofessional business establishment I have ever personally dealt with. Needless to say, I was absolutely irate after wasting a day and $100 in fuel to be completely disrespected and insulted, and I may have had a few choice words for them at this point. They told me to "take my dollar truck and leave" as they chased me out the door. I came home, sold my truck outright for $3500 within about 12 hours of listing, and found a better truck at a reputable Ford dealer closer to home, no surprise fees, no bait and switch tactics, etc. Al Piemonte Chevrolet is as far from professionalism or honesty as you can get! ay ago Buyers beware of additional mark up of 2k dollars, which is ADDED ONTO the purchase of every vehicle they sell. This 2k fee is for their supposed ceramic coating (which you can argue tooth and nail, our car is absolutely NOT ceramic coated lol) some edge guard strips and a pack of tire locks for 40 bucks. Total joke! Between that, and adding on an additional 3k to our cars sales price at the end, and being told that was for the GM "buying" us a better interest rate?? Mind you they don't allow you to use your own financing outside of their dealership which in our case the rate we got would have been less than what we just apparently paid 3 grand for for them to buy us. Stupid us for not catching this xx before signing the papers as we were in a bit of a hurry at this point. A 5 thousand dollar lesson learned. Darian can be a smooth talker and make the deal sound so sweet, until it isn't. LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE!! Look over and question EVERYTHING. Ending on a positive note, we do love our car and Kris was nice to work with. More

I arrived at the dealership, after an hours drive, to be told by Omar that I could not test drive the car without buying it first! Are you kidding me? If that was their policy, I should have been told that at the initial contact. I would not have bothered to drive an hour for nothing. Obviously a blatant ploy to get buyers into their showroom. It's terrible business like this that gives car dealers a bad reputation. Shame on them. More
