The Reason Society Distrusts Auto Dealerships: A True Story (Unfortunately) By Ryan A. (the lied to customer) Disclaimer: Though the experiences are all true, I cannot fully claim the brilliance of Story (Unfortunately) By Ryan A. (the lied to customer) Disclaimer: Though the experiences are all true, I cannot fully claim the brilliance of the writing structure below as I was assisted by my technological partner Mr.ChatGPT. Ah, let me tell you a whimsical tale of automotive delight and dealership debacles. It all started in the fateful year of 2023, when I, in a stroke of unmatched wisdom, acquired a Nissan Rogue. Fast forward to August of this year, my trusty 2007 Sienna decided to take an eternal nap. Naturally, I trotted back to my old pals at Heartland Toyota at the West Hills Autoplex, a place where my family practically has a loyalty card for car buying. But little did I know, this visit would turn my dealership fan club membership sour, especially after my encounters with the equally "trustworthy" Advantage Nissan at 5101 Auto Center Blvd, Bremerton, WA 98312. Let's dive into the heart of the comedy at Advantage Nissan. Among a sea of service visits, two gems shine the brightest. The first act features the mysterious case of the two key fobs that, in a shocking plot twist, stopped working post-purchase. I informed Service Adviser 1 (SA1) that my Road Vantage insurance was my knight in shining armor here. Initially, SA1 played the classic 'you'll have to pay' tune, but a call to Road Vantage revealed the true melody of full coverage, leaving SA1 to gracefully accept defeat. Then there was the sequel with Service Adviser 2 (SA2) and his manager, the dynamic duo of misinformation. I brought my Rogue in to investigate a belt noise and some electronic gremlins. I made SA2 swear on his service manual to check if my Protective Asset Protection would cover it. Spoiler alert: he didn't. In a plot twist worthy of a daytime drama, I penned a heartfelt message to the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. The gist? SA2, under the sage guidance of his manager, crafted a tale about contacting Protective Asset Protection and claimed, with a straight face, that he did. However, in a thrilling reveal, Protective Asset Protection said, "Hold on, we needed specific codes from the dealership," something our hero SA2 conveniently forgot to mention causing him to admit that he never called. So, after these rollercoaster rides of dishonesty and misadventures in insurance land, my once unshakable faith in the dealership world has been rattled. Would you still trust a dealership after starring in this tragicomedy? I mean, they've only been consistently misleading, but who's counting, right? Feel free to share and spare others from this place of gumballs and rainbows. Icing on top? I still had to pay $203.60 in diagnostic repairs. Advantage Nissan More

He was not too pushy and worked hard to find a good deal that was the right fit for me. I've bought a lot of cars in a lot of places across the country, and Advantage has a wonderful sales team! I love that it's a smaller business that puts the customers first. No flashy or fancy gimmicks that customers pay for on the back end, just upfront value. Highly recommend Advantage Nissan and Daniel G! More

Everyone at the dealership was very helpful and friendly. At no point did I feel like I was getting a bad deal or being forced to get a vehicle I didn't want. Would definitely come back again!
