Recall Servicing. Upon receiving a post card indicating my auto (2010 Sonata) was recalled for #s 113 & 110-Break Switch, I contacted Atlantic via phone. (Atlantic is, also, where this car was purchased). In 'no time' an appointment was made for servicing. I arrived early, and was first on line. At 7:30 AM the garage opened, and I was, immediately, met by Mr. Spalletta. He evaluated the exterior of the vehicle stating, "well kept". I was concerned about the amount of time it would take. I had been told 4 hrs. Mr. Spalletta explained that the break switch might take about 20 Mis. but the other service required spraying a substance on, allowing it to dry, and spraying again. I understood, now, why so much time was needed. I took a walk, and returned to the facility in, approximately, one and a half hours. My car was ready, and washed. Mr. Spalletta, and I discussed other needs an inspection revealed. Being retired; I have the time to do the 'needs' myself. I paid nothing for the recall and washing, and was on my way. Although, I did not spend much time in the waiting area, I found it comfortable, clean, and the restrooms near by. More
Amazing Service I have been wronged by many dealerships in the past but not by Advantage! They take care of you like you are the only customer in the world! I found your service department to give excellent service except when it comes to giving out loaner cars. I dropped my car off on Saturday 3/15/14 for a service appointment on Monday 3/17/14 because I felt t except when it comes to giving out loaner cars. I dropped my car off on Saturday 3/15/14 for a service appointment on Monday 3/17/14 because I felt that the car was not safe to drive. I needed a loaner to get to work in Ridgewood Queens on the border of Bushwick Brooklyn Sunday and Monday. I requested one for those days and was told there were none available and I should call back in the afternoon on sat, 3/15. I did, and was told none were available. I had to spend hours getting to and from work those days via public transportation.On Monday 3/17 my service advisor Erin Pugliese called to say they have to replace both front end links. They had replaced one and had to order the other one and my car won't be ready until Tuesday 3/18. I again asked for a loaner and was told there were none available. I informed her that this is a problem for me and she said I could come and pick up the car and return it when the other link came in. I do not appreciate that suggestion seeing as it would be a further inconvenience to me. At that point a car should have provided ie: loaner or rental. Your dealership did not have the part in stock and therefore I had to be inconvenienced yet another day. I called back later that day and was told that still a loaner was not available. I usually make my appointment on my days off Friday & Saturday so I would not need a loaner. Unfortunately the only appointment I could get was on Monday. Advantage Hyundai is probably one of the highest volume dealerships on Long Island and may want to consider having more loaner cars available. I take my wife's car into Lexus for service and have no problem getting a loaner when needed. Her car is a 2005 model which has been service there since it was new. This has been the only problem I have had with your service and hope you give it serious consideration so I can continue recommending your dealership. More
Every time I bring my car in for service I always get excellent service. The entire staff at the dealership are always professional and polite.
