I was told that gasoline was more important to them then my safety, and in fact I was laughed by a service rep when I advised them I felt my life and lives of any passengers in my vehicle were being jeopardized. I had stopped by the dealership on September 27th with my wife and met with one of the salesmen, Kevin Murphy. We were taken back by how professional and non abrasive he was with us especially when speaking wife and met with one of the salesmen, Kevin Murphy. During our initial visit we were shown the car that we we interested in (2012 Azera)and told to take it for a test drive. To our pleasant surprise, we were able to take the test drive without the need for him or anyone else to accompany us. This allowed us to speak freely of our initial thoughts on the car. After about 15 min, we came back and thanked him and told him and his sales manager that we would come back in a couple of days after we got a chance to teat drive the new accord. Now were thinking that the doors would be locked and the gates would come down preventing us from leaving and being hit with the typical "hard sale" pressure. NOT AT ALL!!! We instead felt a sincere thank you from Kevin and his sales manager (Dan Toomey) and were simply asked that if we decided to buy a Hyundai we would give them the chance to make the deal. Well 2 days later, we came in and gave them that opportunity. We told them the offer that we had received on the car from another dealership. They said that to thank us for coming back they would better that offer on both the new car and our trade in. The whole process took a couple of hours and Kevin was such a gentleman that he had ordered us lunch! After the car was prepped Kevin Murphy took the time to show us the important features and controls to feel comfortable driving our new car home. We couldn't be happier! Kevin is a professional, a gentleman and sincere in his desire to help you make the right decision during the sales process. the whole sales team Kevin, Dan and Martin (the Business Manager) made our experience delightful and trouble free. I went into the dealership last week on a rainy, dissimal, Monday evening around 6:45pm. I knew I wanted a Hundai Tuscan but I was procrastinating for six months because I just hate the haggling an dissimal, Monday evening around 6:45pm. I knew I wanted a Hundai Tuscan but I was procrastinating for six months because I just hate the haggling and sales pitches. Then I met Charlie. Right from the beginning he was willing to just listen to what I wanted. No pushy sales no expensive alternatives or suggestions! I bought the car by 7:15 p.m. Picking up the car was even better. He took over twenty minutes programminng the clock, the radio, and showing me all the bells and whistles the car had to offer. I cannot say how happy I am that I met Charlie, he is my friend forever. Just a note, the finance person Marty, ask him to make you a cup of coffee. Really, just do it....He was awesome too. Who am I, I'm no shump. I'm a 46 year old Bank Controller. I have bought three new cars in my lifetime and accompanied many friends on their quest to get their new vehicles. All I suggest is that you make Advantage Hyundai a good starting point. You will not be disappointed. More

I had to get out of my current BMW lease because the payments were way too high. My husband and I stopped in at Advantage Huyndai to test drive a 2013 Sonata, which I absolutely LOVED! I wanted this car but still needed to get out of my BMW lease. Well, Charlie Valvano moved heaven and earth to get me out of my lease! Advantage Huyndai BOUGHT my BMW and gave us a FANTASTIC deal on the 2013 Sonata of my dreams! We drove out of Advantage Huyndai 5 hours later with a brand spankin' new 2013 Sonata! Never in my wildest dreams did I think this was possible! Bye bye BMW! No more through-the-nose payments! Hello Hyundai Sonata! The features far surpass my very pricey BMW and I couldn't be happier! And Charlie Valvano is the nicest car dealer I have ever met. He couldn't have been more helpful or more accomodating. I would recommend Advantage Huyndai and Charlie Valvano to anyone who asks. In fact, I am going to do just that! I am ticked pink! By the way ... this all just happened about 20 minutes ago. I couldn't wait to tell my happy tale! More

I visited Advantage Hyundai in Hicksville, NY on 9/14/12 to check terms on a 2112 Genesis 3.6 Sedan. I had been to another dealer that morning and was drawn to compare that dealer with Advantage since it wa to check terms on a 2112 Genesis 3.6 Sedan. I had been to another dealer that morning and was drawn to compare that dealer with Advantage since it was in much closer proximity to my home and their website indicated they had the car I was interested in with the proper color and equipment upgrades. I was introduced to Kevin Murphy and explained that I was basically "sold" on the car, but needed a better idea of pricing as I had a trade-in. Kevin was very professional and patient with me as we thrashed out the framework for a potential deal. In relatively short order we had agreed on terms and I was a bit surprised when he told me that I could take delivery the following morning, surprised due to the fact that it was already 5 P.M. or so. Kevin contacted my insurer for purposes of providing details of the new vehicle, I signed for the deal and went home for the evening. Around 7 P.M. I had another conversation with Kevin in which he indicated that there was a minor issue involved with the vehicle I agreed to and that he was replacing it with an essentially indentical (except for an I-Pod connector) Genesis. The next morning finalized the documentation with Bobby Torres and then Kevin ran me through some of the features of the car, set up the pairing of my smart phone with the vehicle bluetooth system and i went on my way, feeling comfortable about the deal, the dealership, the car and Mr. Murphy. I will definitely recommend him to friends and family. More

I leased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata a couple of days ago and couldn't have been happier with the experience. I was offered top dollar for my trade and the Steve worked with me to find the best fit Sonata for me. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. Bobby in the Finance Department was great and didn't attempt to pressure me into buying things I didn't need. I've had bad experiences with that last part before, having them try to get me to buy everything under the sun. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the process was from start to finish. I will definitely be returning to Advantage for service and to replace my car when the lease is up. More
Been with Hyundai since 2004. Fri. evening 8/3/12, wife and i decided to go to Advantage to Trade our 2008 Santa Fe for a 2012 Santa fe. After 2 hours we hashed out a deal with Cathy. Just want to point ou and i decided to go to Advantage to Trade our 2008 Santa Fe for a 2012 Santa fe. After 2 hours we hashed out a deal with Cathy. Just want to point out, Cathy was very nice. We know Cathy for many years. However, when Matthew Nam got invoved, thats when the deal went bad. Our 2008 Santa Fe is mint condition, with 18500 miles. They located a 2012 Santa Fe with all the bells and whisles, at another location. The deal was great, with the trade, finance discount, cash back, and military .So, the wife left a 100 dollar deposit. To good to be true. Matthew wuold call us Sat. to let us know. No call, hung around the house all day, called the dealership, no call back or response. Always busy. So, we went and asked Matthew why didn't he call us. He said he was to busy. He was standing behind that desk doing nothing, you couldn't call. We waited all day. He just laughed. I said its funny to you? Now cancel the deal, and i want my deposit back. He said fine, we will send you a check in the mail. Oh,by the way,the Hyundai was sold to someone else. How do you do that after you make a deal and get a deposit from us. I guess he broke the deal ,bacause of the money without informing us. Very sneaky and deceptive. Don't walk, run from Advantage Hyundai. Go to another dealer. I will never purchase a vehicle their again. If it wasen't for my wife, i would have lost it. Now i will not purchase Hyundai's any more at Advantage beacause of Mr. Nam. Very icompetant Mgr.
