After starting my search for a new car at a Toyota dealership, I was extremely disappointed and discouraged. However after meeting Barry Goldstein at Advantage Hyundai, I realized this was a much bet dealership, I was extremely disappointed and discouraged. However after meeting Barry Goldstein at Advantage Hyundai, I realized this was a much better environment to purchase a car. Barry was extremely professional, patient, and worked with me to get a fair price on a great car. He even gave me two balloons for my young children to put in the trunk to surprise them when I returned home after picking up the vehicle. I ended up purchasing a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and I am extremely happy with it. I would recommend this dealership and Barry personally to any of my friends and relatives. THIS DEALERSHIP IS DISHONEST, UNTRUSTWORTHY, AND INSENSITIVE. I purchased a vehicle from them on March 22, 2013. They were sweet, inviting, receptive and helpful....right until I made the purchase. INSENSITIVE. I purchased a vehicle from them on March 22, 2013. They were sweet, inviting, receptive and helpful....right until I made the purchase. No less than a week, my engine light comes on, the wheel and foot pedal are vibrating. Take it in and they said it was a sensor. Slight vibration comes back and within 2-3 weeks after changing the "sensor" the engine light came on again. The car and the foot pedal are still vibrating and I go back and this time it's the catalytic converter and a host of other things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, it's not covered under the warranty!!!! REALLY????!!!! Over $2,000. to repair! I just bought this car! It, I believe when I brought the car in initially, was the onset of these problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They had treated me so nicely initially that I immediately referred 3 friends and a family member there -- 2 of them purchased vehicles before the month was over. I was supposed to, as part of their incentive, get $100. for each referral and purchase. NEVER GOT IT!!!! I was referred to DAN who referred me to MATT who told me they would mail it. NEVER GOT IT! And this was after I was told I couldn't get it because it wasn't in the system that I made the referral....but it was found on BOTH of my friend's paperwork that I referred them!!!!!! Ironically, I was emailed a survey asking how my experience was with Advantage Hyundai. The same day I expressed my EXTREME dissatisfaction and aggravation with my vehicle and not getting my $200. my phone started ringing. I received a call from two different individuals ---CHRISTINE AND ANDRE. Both said they would look into it and call me back the NEXT DAY. Well, it's over two months now and I never heard from them again. I'M NOT SURPRISED!!!!!!!! Needless to say, my brother and other friend refused to go there after the way they treated me! Just recently, two former co-workers wanted their information because they were looking for vehicles. Word of mouth is big! And the last thing they heard was how good my experience was. But after hearing what I had gone through, they went elsewhere. I gave Advantage Hyundai over FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000) in less than two months in vehicles purchases. And they could have gotten more....but not only did they pass up on that opportunity by not doing something courteous by a loyal customer they also STOLE my money from my referrals!!!!!! SHAME ON YOU ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER REFER ANYONE TO ADVANTAGE HYUNDAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE....looking at the reviews I see all 5's being posted so it won't be any surprise if mine doesn't make it on the board. BUT IF IT DOES, KNOW THAT I WOULDN'T REFER MY WORST ENEMY TO THEM! It's the worst when a business clearly only cares about the bottom dollar, but rest assure at this dealership you will receive the opposite. Advantage Hyundai genuinuely cares about their customers and wants to build a business relationship with you. I absolutely love my new car and I'm very happy!! More
I was in the need of a new car and I was choosing between 2 vehicles—the Nissan Altima '13 or the Hyundai Sonata '13. They are both very similarly priced. To be honest, I am a little biased toward Nissan simply because my family already owned 3 of their vehicles in the past. So I went to them first. We worked out a deal at the Nissan dealership and they really wanted me to sign, but I figured I should at least check out Advantage Hyundai because I kept hearing good things about them. Nissan knew I was comparing to Hyundai and promised "whatever deal they give you, we'll beat it." Let's just say I was so comfortable with my salesman (Sam You) and impressed by what they offered me that I didn't even go back to Nissan! I got the numbers I was looking for (no way Nissan was going to beat that) and, on top of that, Sam threw in some options for the car that I hadn't even expected to sweeten the deal! Plus, their staff was so friendly. Other reviewers said they didn't feel pressured. I agree 100%. I asked so many questions about the cars and the equipment, yet Sam answered with all the patience and respect I could ever ask for. Totally different experience from the prior dealership which made me feel rushed. More
