Catherine Mercado, our sales associate provided us with exceptional service that made for an enjoyable and productive car buying experience. Coming right from a negative encounter with a NYC Hyundai deale exceptional service that made for an enjoyable and productive car buying experience. Coming right from a negative encounter with a NYC Hyundai dealership, Cathy’s expertise and cheerful personality was able to put us right at ease. We were so skeptical to believe that reputable auto dealers actually do exist. However, Cathy and the staff at Advantage Hyundai restored our faith and proved that there are dealerships such as Advantage Hyundai that can provide you with a pleasant car shopping experience. More
The experience that I had at Hyundai was excellent. I was treated with respect and I found the saleman Matt to be very attentive. I was also offered the highest price for my car. Matt worked very hard to treated with respect and I found the saleman Matt to be very attentive. I was also offered the highest price for my car. Matt worked very hard to make the deal happen and the entire time I was treated with respect and courtesy. I would and have recommended other people to go to this dealership and I would go back again. More
I purchased my 2009 Hyundai "Sonata" 8/2009 during the "CASH FOR CLUNKER" deal.I was very concerned if I was going to qualify and get it in timebefore the funds ran out. I was given prompt attention by m "CASH FOR CLUNKER" deal.I was very concerned if I was going to qualify and get it in timebefore the funds ran out. I was given prompt attention by my sales consultant Steve Toomey, (inspite of a very hectic time where staff was overwhelmed with customers.Steve took the time to help me select the right car (eg.) features, performance, price, etc. Dan Toomey, General Manager was so helpful in re-assuring me that I would get my car.I was very anxious!! He was wonderful and very patient. John Stern, Sales Manager also assured me I was going to get my car, and I did!! I just love my Hyundai "Sonata"!! I got my first oil change free. my back bumper was hit just after if got my car. Vinny Muzio (Service Dept.) immediately got me a very good price. The work was donepromptly and with the utmost care. I travel a distance to Hicksville, but I dont mind, because I wouldn't deal with any other mechanic or dealership. I am so pleased with these people at "Advantage Hyundai" More
First I went looking and was helped (after ALOT of standing around and waiting) by a salesman whom actually seemed nice and sincere....That was my first mistake....went on a few test drives, spent hou standing around and waiting) by a salesman whom actually seemed nice and sincere....That was my first mistake....went on a few test drives, spent hours there looking for the right car...salesman was very helpful...found a car I loved and put a deposit to HOLD THE CAR. Had wedding the next day, and day after go back to sign paperwork, and salesman is out sick. Get a call the next day, and agree to come back following day. Show up today, and guess what??? My car is GONE!! There "excuse" was that someone already had it on hold, but no one ever entered it in the system, blah, blah, blah.....all a giant lie, I am sure...then they only have to of the same model left, both in a color I DID NOT WANT....and after selling my car that I PAID TO HAVE HELD, they wouldn't even come down on the price, which was still WELL above invoice as it was....so I go to my second choice, different model, had already received a quote from the internet manager....after negotiating back and forth for that price, about to agree to a deal when guess what?? The quote allegedly already included their factory rebate...needless to say, we asked for our money back and was out the door! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!! DECEITFUL, MISLEADING, AND JUST FLAT OUT ARROGANCE AND INCOMPETENCE!! STAY AWAY! More
To sum it up: I live 5 minutes from this dealership and traveled 30 minutes away to Atlantic Hyundai just because I was so turned off by this place. I went to Atlantic Hyundai on an early Friday aftern traveled 30 minutes away to Atlantic Hyundai just because I was so turned off by this place. I went to Atlantic Hyundai on an early Friday afternoon. They had 1 salesman on the whole lot and he was running around trying to help multiple customers. He was so busy we had to wait about 35 minutes until he could even help us. No big deal because we were able to peruse the different cars they had on the lot. When he finally helped us, he was very arrogant, very salesman like - talking down to us and speaking to me like I had no idea what I was talking about. The Sonata we were looking at was mismarked and listed ont he paperwork as a 4 cyl with XM, but was really a V6 without XM. Obviously they are very disorganized and overwhelemed over there. While we were sitting and talking with our salesman, another customer came over to say that her car was still NOT fixed and she seemed highly irritated and irate. The salesman took multiple calls while we were sitting with him. Then he let us take two different cars for a test drive without him because he had to help other customers. When I asked to drive a 2008 or 2009 Sonata, I was told to take the 2005 out because "they are all the same". When we came back from our test drive we started talking numbers and he was telling us ridciulous things like the longer a car sits on his lot, the higher the price goes because he has to pay interest on a car and he has to pass that interest onto the customer. Basically the cars they are unable to unload keep increasing in price. I still dont understand how that could make sense. Wouldn't you want to sell the cars you are having a hard time selling for a more reasonable price instead of a higher price? Also when I asked if his cars were Certified, he replied, "my guys are certified". Not the answer to my question and obviously a slick attempt to try and skirt my question. I asked about getting a certified warranty and was told if i wanted to add a non-certified warranty it was $500. When I told him I was going to check out Atlantic Hyundai to comparison shop, he dared me to get a better deal. I told him I would get back to him. I called him the next morning before I left to go out to Atlantic and offered him a chance to give me a better price before I went to his competitor. He dropped the price about $200 and again dared me to get a better price. I went out to Atlantic, found a car I fell in love with at a better price, called him up one last time to tell him I found a better deal and see if there was one last price reduction he could make and he says "Oh I actually just sold the car you were interested in 5 minutes ago, but you should come back tomorrow and I can show you more cars". Nevermind. I was done. They still emailed me for weeks and weeks asking me to come back in to take another look. They finally stopped when I emailed them back and told them I bought from their competitor "because Danny C dared me to". When I needed to get my car serviced last week, I called them so I wouldnt have to go back out to West Islip. I was originally there shopping for a car, I was told by the salesman that one of their great benefits is that they have loaner cars. When i attempted to make an appt for service i was told by a very rude service person that they only have a very few loaners and that nothing was guaranteed and they would let me know when I dropped off the car if i would be getting a loaner. When I asked her if there were any options to confirm a loaner prior to drop off, she asked me to hold on, put me on hold and never came back on the phone. I will never call them again or recommend them to anyone I know. Stay far away from this place. More
I didn't even get to the dealership - I did a quote online prior to going in to drive the car. When I got a call from the sales person who was happy to help, she gave me a buy price. She call me back online prior to going in to drive the car. When I got a call from the sales person who was happy to help, she gave me a buy price. She call me back with the lease price which is what I was looking for, but when I challenged the high lease price given the MSRP, she said that is all we can do, goodbye. Guess they are not looking to move cars. More
Nice dealership, nice service. Lets face it, I hate going to the dealership. But it is a necessity if you want to purchase a car. At least, they make it painless. Go to Edmunds to get invoice pricing, and th to the dealership. But it is a necessity if you want to purchase a car. At least, they make it painless. Go to Edmunds to get invoice pricing, and they will honor it. We had an 2007 Santa Fe with a 2 yr lease that was expiring, purchased an 2008 ltd, with touring, dvd package. Prices at 34k, but with 5k in rebates, we paid $200 over invoice. What a steal. We also love the fact that loaners are avail. if your car goes in for repairs. More
