I bought a 2010 Hyundai Sonata at Advantage Hyundai in April, 2010. My salesperson was Matt Nam. I decided to take a look at the Sonata because Hyundai was offering 0% financing for 5 years + $750 cash April, 2010. My salesperson was Matt Nam. I decided to take a look at the Sonata because Hyundai was offering 0% financing for 5 years + $750 cash back. I got an internet quote for $21,000 for a 2010 Sonata SE with premium package. When I went to the dealer, they said they didn't have any 4 cylinder Sonatas in stock, and actually insisted that there was no such thing as a 4-cylinder SE Sonata, as they only had V6 SEs in stock. I said (jokingly) that if they wanted to sell me a V6 for the price of a 4-cylinder I would be fine with that. I test drove the V-6 and liked it, so we sat down to discuss the price. We started filling out the paperwork and I was told I would get $2,000 for my trade-in (a 1999 Subaru Forester in decent shape). After I had already been filling out paperwork for 30 minutes, I was told by the salesperson that the price I was quoted ($21,000) was not with 0% financing but with 4.9%. Even though I was approved for 0%, they couldn't sell the car at that price. I felt I had been jerked around (though not by the salesman) so I walked out. To make a long story short, the salesman (Matt) contacted me a few days later offering the car I had test driven (V6 Sonata) at $21,900 with 0% financing for 72 months. There was some haggling over the value of my trade-in - they tried to get me to take $1000 for it, even though I had been told $2000 - but I ended up taking this deal. With the financing offer plus the trade-in & my $2000 cash down, my monthly payment is $275. Overall, the salesman was great throughout the process. He REALLY wanted to sell the car and it seemed like he was really working to make it happen. I suppose he could have been a great actor but that wasn't the impression I got. The finance guy, Tom Franco, also seemed friendly, helpful and honest. More
Giving this Dealership a 1 was too much for my liking. Giving this Dealership a 1 was too much for my liking. The Sales person was so RUDE, the rudest i ever came across in the car business. He started Giving this Dealership a 1 was too much for my liking. The Sales person was so RUDE, the rudest i ever came across in the car business. He started off with his pitch, we listened because we were VERY interested in the 2011 Sonata. He left us to go check on the quote, when he came back it was really out of our budget. We asked him if that was the best he could do and he said "are you buying today?" We had just started our search for a new car. SO we said we are looking into other brands as well but this would be our first choice. He proceeded to tell us that he doesnt want to give us a quote since this would be wasting his time as we are not prepared to buy on the spot. WHO does that???? We were totally in shock at that. The moron lost the 2 sales. I undestand that the 2011 Sonata is selling itself but I would NEVER give my hard earned money to some obnoxious sales person who did not take "customer service" seriously. He lost any chance of future referrals. If you work in the customer service industry shouldnt you be aware of these things? I guess not. Went to Toyota and Honda after and both sales people were amazing. Patient and willing to work with you. Advantage Hyundai was the WORST. More
If you go to this dealerhip you should try to see if you could work with Andy (I think his last name is Greene). He is not a typical pushy salesperson. I felt very comfortable with him. He was helpful wit could work with Andy (I think his last name is Greene). He is not a typical pushy salesperson. I felt very comfortable with him. He was helpful without being pushy. I am still deciding between two makes but if I go with the Hyundai, I will certainly go with Andy at Hyundai in Hicksville. More
Walk in the door and ask for Cathy Mercado. There is nothing else to say about this dealership besides that. Refuse to work with anyone else. If she is not there, find out when she will be and come ba nothing else to say about this dealership besides that. Refuse to work with anyone else. Ive visited half a dozen dealerships looking to trade in my 2001 for Mustang convertible. Every dealership told me they were giving me the greatest trade in offers and that no one else could come close to t my 2001 for Mustang convertible. Every dealership told me they were giving me the greatest trade in offers and that no one else could come close to their offers. All of their offers really did not make sense on paper because I was still paying a lease price close to what they were advertising AND still was required to put money down? How is that a great offer.. Then came Advantage Hyundai, I walked in the door was greeted very friendly by the reception area who in turn sent Cathie my way. The first thing that was different then every other dealership was the lack of being pushed forcefully into a sale. I was asked if I needed additional info on the vehicle I was looking at and even taken into the back to see all the other styles, colors and combos of the Sonata(no other dealership did this!). I very simply laid out the monthly cost I was looking to spend, and to my surprise an offer came back LOWER then what I had asked for!!! I was amazed, and hooked on Advantage! For the record, every other dealer was asking for at least $100 more a month then what I was willing to pay! And on her word, Cathie calls me frequently to check on my car and make sure all is well!! Its very much appreciated! Sincerly Christopher Corvinelli More
Visited several other Hyundai dealerships within 20-30 miles. When I arrived at Advantage, several salespeople greeted me and offered to help. Didn't want any right then. After a while, Ken Sussman app miles. When I arrived at Advantage, several salespeople greeted me and offered to help. Didn't want any right then. After a while, Ken Sussman approached me, began to tell me about the car and one thing led to another. Ken was very knowledgeable and responsive. I bpought the car. Couple of days after purchase I had some problems mastering use of the Proximity Key. Came back. Ken helped me out and fixed some problems of my own doing to get it right. While Ken was great, was also impressed with the attitude of the 3 Service Advisors he introduced me to. All in all, a very nice experience. I am a pleased customer. More
I just picked up a Santa Fe. Awesome car with a great price. Dan Ciotti was extremely helpful; a dealer who worked for my benefit! I went to this dealership expecting to just look around and then look price. Dan Ciotti was extremely helpful; a dealer who worked for my benefit! Very good experience. I did not spend the usual 3 hours in this dealership to find a price i was happy with. Dan was very straight forward, asked what i was willing to pay BOTTOM LINE for the vehicle and w in this dealership to find a price i was happy with. Agreed upon price, and then did not honor the emailed, written quote that matched the quote the salesman had on file. They wanted over $3,000 more after an almost two month wait for the car. They would no written quote that matched the quote the salesman had on file. They wanted over $3,000 more after an almost two month wait for the car. They would not sell the car even after I offered to pay $1,200 more than I had agreed to pay weeks back. I would never buy from them. The BBB rating for them is a C+ and that is too high! I ended up getting a Toyota after this bad experience. I had a Hyundai and wanted another, but not after dealing with this crew! More
I purchased my first Hyundai Memorial Day. I was new to the Sonata and very impressed with the car. The buying process was a lot less stressful than other dealerships. My salesman was helpful and informa the Sonata and very impressed with the car. The buying process was a lot less stressful than other dealerships. My salesman was helpful and informative. I have already recommended the dealership to others and will continue. Since the 2011 Sonata is very new and a great looking car I have been stopped by strangers eagerly asking about the car. It generates a lot of attention and interest and is a great car to drive and nicely equipped. More
