If I could give zero stars I would because I got zero service, zero answers to my questions, and zero satisfaction. A few days ago I contacted Advantage Chevrolet in Brooklyn to ask how much they char service, zero answers to my questions, and zero satisfaction. A few days ago I contacted Advantage Chevrolet in Brooklyn to ask how much they charge to diagnose what was wrong with my Traverse. Over the course of two days, I never got an answer. Here are the texts, dates and times ... Friday 5/24/24 1:40PM - Hi John, this is Jerry from Advantage Chevrolet. I'd be happy to help with that. Could you please provide the year of your Traverse and a brief description of the issue you're experiencing? Friday 5/24/24 1:48PM - Hi Jerry, my 2014 Traverse is bogging down, shuddering, losing power, making clunking noises, I think my first and possibly second gear is now gone in the transmission, locks are randomly going up and down by themselves, rear camera stopped working. How much would it cost to analyze exactly what's wrong and what it would require to fix everything? Friday 5/24/24 1:48PM - Thanks for the details, John. Friday 5/24/24 4:17PM - Ok thank you. (The next day) Saturday 5/25/24 12:33PM - Hi Jerry, wow, unbelievable incompetence that you couldn't simply tell me how much you charge for a diagnostic test. And continued to stall me and xx me and tell me that you'd get back to me shortly and never did. No wonder you have so many one star horrible reviews online. There's no way I would ever go to Advantage Chevrolet for anything. And I’ll spread the word and warn everyone else I to not go there as well. Watch for another one star bad review online. I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Peter at Advantage Chevrolet for my car's maintenance needs, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Not happy! !! I had service done. I was getting a service code and also my back up camera was not working. They suggested replacing the battery, reprograming !! I had service done. I was getting a service code and also my back up camera was not working. They suggested replacing the battery, reprograming and replacing the video processing control. They did battery and reprogramming but didnt have the video processing control. They made me pay for the part $410 plus tax. A little suspect right there. After I left I never had the problem with the back up camera again. I called and said i dont want to install the part since it will be another $ 500 to install the part for something that is not a problem. Called Peter in service who was very nice but proceded to tell me I have to go there in person and speak to the Parts Manager Joe to get a refund and even then it is unlikely I will get it. They misdiagnose the issue and now I have to waste my time to go and fight with someone to get a refund. Not fair i don have the time to waste for their mistake. I run a service business and I would not do this to my clients. Next stop Google, BBB, Facebook and every other site that will take review. Poor customer sevice very sleazy Anthony 917-807-5413 More
Advantage Chevrolet All I can say to anybody considering utilizing the service department at this dealership is to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - unless you are VERY skilled in automotive and are prepared to diagnose utilizing the service department at this dealership is to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - unless you are VERY skilled in automotive and are prepared to diagnose your own car, then actually get in touch with the service manager to MAYBE get your vehicle in and serviced appropriately. You have to hold them by the hand to help them understand the problem with the vehicle and how to fix it. I live in the area but can never come back to this dealership again for service. In January 2023, I noticed a buzzing sound in my back window whenever it was raining. Neil and the service department claimed they couldn’t duplicate the issue. I had to bring my vehicle back several times to try to figure out the issue (this was buzzing electricity and NOT SAFE) and ultimately diagnosed a (known issue) rear window leak on my 2020 Silverado. I finally managed to get the window replaced (under warranty) six weeks later. Not even five months later, the leak is back and FAR WORSE! It appears my new rear window was not seated or sealed correctly (you can actually see that it’s a bit crooked). The dealership immediately asked me to produce a receipt they never gave me even though THEY did the work and had all of my vehicles records. I ended up getting GM corporate involved and the window is again being replaced. (by a different dealership I swear by called West Herr Chevrolet in BUFFALO NY - yes you read correctly…) Even if you have a service appointment, be prepared to wait. Your appointment will not be honored and the service rep Neil will always have the excuse that they are “swamped” Neil never returns phone calls will avoid you. They will hold your vehicle (even with appointment) for several days before even looking at it (I have cameras in my truck so I observed this) and FYI - they have ZERO loaners. Neil is a schmoozer who could sell a snowball to an eskimo. If you MUST go here for service, see Peter instead. He at least cares about his customers and will do what he says he is going to do. Neil should be avoided at all costs. In a completely separate issue I recently experienced there, I once brought in my truck complaining of belt noise. Neil said there was nothing wrong with the belt (even though my girl and I could see visible wear on it). When I finally (again) brought my vehicle to West Herr Chevrolet they couldn’t believe the condition of the belt and that the Advantage claimed there was nothing wrong with it. The belt failed all tests and was immediately replaced (under warranty, by West Herr) I WILL SOONER have my vehicle send TO BUFFALO (in fact, my vehicle is there now) than to ever attempt to go to this service department even though it is local to me. Avoid at all costs…you’ve been warned! More

Neil was great! !! He made the process very easy. The vehicle was diagnosed with faulty struts. Was told it was under warranty. The car was fixed and returned the sam !!
