Sexist, ignorant and rude management! I came in here about a month ago for my standard oil change. The week before I went to a Mazda dealership to see about trading in my vehicle. It was b I came in here about a month ago for my standard oil change. The week before I went to a Mazda dealership to see about trading in my vehicle. It was brought to my attention by the saleman at Mazda, that I have ZERO car fax listed on for my car. None of the oil changes, none of the recalls that were done. Especially it looked like my car was 2 years old, with 40k miles, and I had done no services on it. Im very on time with any oil changes as well as when I receive recall notices, I get it done right away. When I went in the AM for my oil change, I asked the lady service if I could speak with a SERVICE manager about the issue. She stated to me that I needed to speak with the SALES manager about my car fax... When I came back to pick up my car that evening, I went up front to speak with the sales manager. I cant remember his name, but he was an older male who I specifically remember from when I bought the car. I stated to him what happened at the dealer when I received the car fax and the first thing out of his mouth was "SERVICE told you to come to SALES for a SERVICE issue?" He repeated himself in a very rude tone, as if I was stupid and didnt know what I was doing. I notified him that im aware car fax were suppose to be done when you have services done on your car, but that the lady in service said I needed to speak with them. After going back and forth with him, he informed me that they do not report anything to car fax, but they report it specifically to GM. He printed off the report to show me it was all reported to GM. OK fine. But if I try to get a car at a non GM dealer, they can not see this report? Were as ALL dealers can see car fax.. Then he took me back to speak with Bill who was the service manager. Both of these gentleman made me feel as if I was some young female, who they could down upon and treated me as if I was dumb and stupid. I worked at a car repair shop/oil change shop for 5 years. I know a little more than they think.. After going back and forth with these two men and feeling as if I was being insulted, I decided I would just take my things and leave, as I was getting no where talking to them. Before leaving, the Sales manager was EXTREMELY quick to say "Well if I doesnt work out at the other dealership, feel free to come back here and well get you into a bigger car you want" WHY would I come back to a dealership that made me feel as if they were very sexist and made me feel like I was being talked down upon?! Following my oil change, chevy will email you a survey to take about your experience. I did give bad rates as I was and still am, very upset about my experience at Hawk Chevy in Bridgeview. On 12/3/18, a few days after my review, I received a phone call from a woman named Mary or Miriam? She asked what had happened that I was not satisfied, and at that time I explained the situation. I told her how I felt very degraded and looked at as if I was stupid and didn't know anything. She listened and explained that as being a woman herself, she understood the situation. She stated she would speak with her manager and call me back later that day, or the next day. It is now 12/14/18 and I have NOT heard back from ANYONE about the situation at hand. I now will be taking my business somewhere else, and will be sure to let any friends or family know to NEVER go to Hawk Chevy in Bridgeview. Very ignorant, very sexist, and very rude manager at this business. More
