Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Brand new 2018 Chevy Tahoe Premier damaged at the dealership before I even got off the lot by dealership - before I ever signed paper work or even lef Brand new 2018 Chevy Tahoe Premier damaged at the dealership before I even got off the lot by dealership - before I ever signed paper work or even left the lot. I want to walk at this point, who wants a damaged new car? But this is the last 2018 Tahoe that qualifies for 0% financing. I'm iffy, I dont want a damaged new car....... BayRigde chevy "we'll replace everything damaged with genuine GM parts." I'm still iffy. BayRigde chevy "we'll give you a "we owe" slip detailing the parts to be REPLACED. So they actually give me an official "we owe" sheet. Written in black and white detailing they'll replace damaged parts. I agree, everything is in black and white. So I sign the deal. Leave my 2015 Tahoe with 9,760 miles as a trade in for a loaner Malibu because my brand new Tahoe needs to be fixed before I even drove it 1 mile. 5 days later they call me your car is ready. I get to the dealership. They only replaced the glass, not the tailgate. The Tahoe had only been sent to a body shop. Im like I have a "we owe" that says tailgate to be replaced. Danny takes my "we owe" and crosses out "dealer to replace tailgate" and says I would never have agreed to that. Tells me I need to speak to my original salesman about that. My salesmen isn't there. Ok but where's my license plate holder? Oh I'll get you one. Ok whats this glue residue on the door? Whats with this scratch on the door. Oh sorry I'll give you a "we owe" for the scratch on door and we'll repair molding on door. So I leave. Turns out they didn't put temp registration on the car either. 4 days I'm driving around without registration and didn't realize it. Bring Tahoe back to dealer for more work. They keep it for another 3 days. At this point my new Tahoe has been in the shop longer than I've owed it. Trial Onstar wifi for the kids being used up by the dealer. So now all damaged "repaired" not replaced. They wont honor they're own "we owe" and replace the tailgate. Offer me free car washes for my inconvenience. Really? GM gets involved and calls dealer on my behalf. But Bay Ridge Chevy still wont offer me another Tahoe nor will they give me my 2015 Tahoe back. In the end dealer offers a check for $500 and GM offers $500 in accessories. General manager tells me cars always get damaged from factory and he has to eat the cost of repairing them. So I guess I have to eat your problems too. I say but what about your "we owe" stating you'd replace tailgate...nothing. I would never have agreed to the deal without the "we owe" that they then didn't honor. Not what I wanted or expected from 60K+ car buying experience. I feel tricked. They are the definition of shady double talking car salesman, stay away. This was my 3rd SUV. Yukon, Tahoe, Tahoe - but if GM thinks I'll ever buy another car from them - think again.
