I was tempted to use this dealership's service despite all the bad reviews I had read on this site. Contacted two salesmen over the phone: first it was Brandon Motard, and later Mike Lebron. I was ready t all the bad reviews I had read on this site. Contacted two salesmen over the phone: first it was Brandon Motard, and later Mike Lebron. I was ready to buy a used vehicle and gave them my offer. Both of the salesmen sounded interested in my offer but NEVER responded to my numerous calls. I always thought it is a salesman's responsibility to keep a potential buyer interested in the deal, not the other way around! In two days I made 6 phone calls to the dealership talking to both of the salespeople, but NEVER received any feedback from them despite the fact that at the end of every conversation with me both Mike and Brandon promised to call me back within minutes. Losing my patience, I left a message on their answering machine with a request to call me back with their decision. It is easy to guess that I have never got a call from them. Needless to say that this dealership does a very poor job in building good realionship with its customers. Go ahead guys, keep it the same way, helping us to add more and more negative reviews to your account! This is the right way for you to start looking for new jobs! More
Working with Stu and the rest of the staff at Ramsey Acura is an absolute pleasure. They make leasing a new car a pleasure and the service department makes it very easy to maintain the vehicle. This is an unethical dealership! 3 hours to negotiate deal. Agreements for tires, headphones, rails, etc. were made and forgotten by salesman and had to be revisited time and time again! Had to tell hi deal. Agreements for tires, headphones, rails, etc. were made and forgotten by salesman and had to be revisited time and time again! Had to tell him several times to write agreements down on contract. Contract given to me BLANK - salesman said -you have been here so long just sign at the bottom and I will fill in later. Is he kidding?! Paper with agreement number disappeared. Trade-in number changed. Back office counterpart came to desk and told me he made a mistake punching in mileage. I told him 175,000 and he punched in 87,000 by mistake. Is he kidding now?! It was a good cop, bad cop routine between front salesman and back office manager. No customer service calls were made to me about my experience with Acura. I reported my experience to Customer Relations in CA - More
I went to the dealership to lease a new TSX. The manager passed me off onto the used car manager, who admittedly knew nothing about leasing new cars. I specifically said I wanted to pay nothing out of pocke passed me off onto the used car manager, who admittedly knew nothing about leasing new cars. I specifically said I wanted to pay nothing out of pocket, i.e. EVERYTHING ROLLED IN. I told him the deal and the trade in value I was offered at a competing dealership, and asked if he could beat it. He quoted me a price, assuring me that the deal would not change overnight because they stand by their word. The next morning I arrived to test drive the car and finalize the deal. I test drove the car, then he tells me he needs to appraise my trade-in before we can go any further, which I assumed he did the night before when the car was at the dealership. My fiance happened to be driving that morning, but the trade in was there at the dealership the night before. So, I asked why he didn't look at it the night before. He says, "We weren't at that point yesterday." Well, what point were we at? I told him I wanted the car if the numbers worked. How can a salesperson quote accurate numbers if they have not looked at the trade in? Needless to say, I drove all the way home, and returned with the trade in vehicle. Over an hour later, Michael comes back and tells me the numbers have changed. All of a sudden the price was $75 more per month, with $2000 out of pocket. Plain and simple, I made 3 separate trips to the dealership and wound up with nothing but a waste of my weekend. Acura of Ramsey is ridiculously over-priced, and their staff is incompetent. WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!!! More
Easy buy and trade in. Internet salesman stood by his word but gave me a 2008 instead of 2007 RDX. Much better than Infiniti in Ramsey that would not give a penny off sticker, were cocky and arrogan word but gave me a 2008 instead of 2007 RDX. Much better than Infiniti in Ramsey that would not give a penny off sticker, were cocky and arrogant young men in suits. Im sure they're ready to make a deal today. Ramsey Acura is NOT owned by the large group of Ramsey dealerships which makes a big difference. All in all, I'm very happy with my 2008 RDX that I have for two years. We get a loaner car without asking the three times it went in for service. We got an MDX today. I called to add one problem and will rate them after this experience. (Thump in the rear, shock or strut) and blue tooth stopped working. My vehicle has lost 2500 dollars in value in over 2 years according to KBB. The Acuras hold their value, thats for sure and the 6 year 70,000 mile warranty bumper to bumper was a big incentive So far, Im pleased. If that changes I'll re post More
I was so excited to get a new MDX. I went back to this dealership twice to test drive and go over the deal. My husband after some convincing of the managers got them to a decent MDX car payment. I left th dealership twice to test drive and go over the deal. My husband after some convincing of the managers got them to a decent MDX car payment. I left the dealership being told I was good to go, all the paperwork was signed, credit app filled out, and even met with the fiance guy. We left a $200 deposit with a cc and was told they would call us with a definate date for when the truck would be here. I recieved a phone call 3 days later being told that after a credit review- my not so perfect credit couldnt get that price and that they wanted $100 more per montly payment. I flipped out on the phone and was told by the sales guy he would take care of it and get back to me. A day later he called saying he used his connections and that we were good to go. The truck was coming from the factory and would be here as planned. (about 2 weeks) The next week I had my husband call just to make sure we were good to go- and no one new what I was talking about. They even called me a liar saying no one every called me. Long story short I didnt get the Acura..and it took us almost a month to get the $200 credited back to my credit card. The worst part is..since they ran my credit and the next dealership it came up on the report. STAY AWAY from this place.. More
Great Dealership! Tommy T. is extremely helpful. I leased a vehicle from him last year. He beat all other prices over the phone and honored his final price upon arrival. I was in and out in no more than an h a vehicle from him last year. He beat all other prices over the phone and honored his final price upon arrival. I was in and out in no more than an hour driving the car in the color and trim which I requested. I plan on leasing another vehicle from him in the next month. After reading some other reviews, I am very surprised! Having leased several cars, this is the first time that I had come in and not only was the price unbeatable there were no extra fees they for some reason remembered to add on top of their original quote upon my arrival. Would recommend, it is a little out of my way but worth the drive. More
Just bought 2009 TL SH-AWD w/ tech. It had some engine valve noise (clipping sound when the engine revs up & down, also when in idle) so I took it to their service dept. The manager told me the sound was valve noise (clipping sound when the engine revs up & down, also when in idle) so I took it to their service dept. The manager told me the sound was normal. So I told him to have someone compare my car with exactly the same car at the lot. So did, and the other car had no such sound. I left the car there overnight for them to take a look. Also had my service rep compare with other cars just incase. I get a call next morning, they were not able to locate any car at their lot producing the same kind of noise. At this point, you would think the sound is not normal and they would make some kind of adjustment…. Wrong! They refused to do anything because ACURA Tech Support has told them not to despite the fact when the problem was recognized. If ACURA thinks that it’s OK for a customer to live with this annoying sound on a fully loaded, brand new, $40,000 car, then so be it. ACURA is cheap and their standard is low. I have a BMW X5, it also had a similar problem (tapping noise at cold start) they ordered new cylinder head part from Germany and fixed the problem. This is my 3rd ACURA and will be my last. More
Although I didn't purchase a vehicle here, the experience was very positive. Their hours were longer than any others, and their response time was immediate. They sent me the final price without going throug was very positive. Their hours were longer than any others, and their response time was immediate. They sent me the final price without going through the hassles, and were fair in their Trade In. Tom T (through the internet) did everything and more. More
This may be the worst dealership experience I've ever had. And this would have been my third purchase from these guys! Suffice to say, they are not interested in fair service. Specifically, when signin had. And this would have been my third purchase from these guys! Suffice to say, they are not interested in fair service. Specifically, when signing forms with the Business Manager, do not sign anything which waives your right to 48-72 hours to review the contracts. They put this sheet in front of me to sign with about 10 other forms, and, because I trusted them, I signed it. Then when I changed my mind about the car, they used this form to tell me I had no recourse! NJ Law provides for the 48-72 hour review period. Why would they even create a form for prospective buyers to sign unless they were planning to use it against them. Simply, this is a very dishonest dealership. Buyer Beware! Customer service means nothing to them. More
