Acura of Brookfield is a refreshing exception to this. I have been dealing with other automobile manufacturers and dealerships for over thirty years, and this is the first time I felt motivated to give anyone a positive review. The story below goes into a little detail of how well I was treated. I went to Acura of Brookfield fully expecting to pay for a repair that was the result of an obvious design problem with my car. (On-line research indicated that the problem I was experiencing was also being experienced by others. It was a minor trim related problem, mechanically the car has been solid, as you might expect from Acura.) When I checked in, I got the typical “we’ll take a look at for you” from the service representative. I didn’t say anything about knowing that this was a design problem, figuring that it wouldn’t help anyway, and it wasn’t the service representative’s fault so why yell at him. After only a few minutes the service representative came over to give me the damages (like I said, I expected to pay for the repair). He told me they had the part in stock and could do the repair while I waited. And, that because they have seen a pattern of my model car with this issue, they would be doing the repair for free. (My only complaint is how hard their floor is because I fell out of my chair.) Are you kidding me? Someone in this day and age putting their money where their mouth is? It would have been easy to tell me how sorry they were, but because the car is out of warranty it was going to cost me to get it fixed. They could have offered me a bottle of water, apologized again and been like the rest of the friendly distributors who don’t stand behind their products. Acura of Brookfield was not only friendly, they did the right thing for their customer. Why can’t every car dealer behave like Acura of Brookfield? More
I have never received friendlier service from any dealer. The service is very friendly and helpful. In all the years I went there (about four) The service department made only one mistake, which was not securing the plastic splash guard under the front suspension after servicing, and it came loose while driving home. I drove back and they replaced it for free without argument or dirty looks. The parts department was extremely helpful and friendly as well. I definitely recommend this dealer for servicing and parts. More
