Honesty & Great Service ! Honesty. The one quality every (nervous) used car buyer wants from their salesman is honesty. The second most desired attribute of a dealership is ser Honesty. The second most desired attribute of a dealership is service, With Lew Shumas of Active Auto I got both in quantities rarely found elsewhere. I told Lew that I did not want to waste his time at my first visit to Active Auto. He said that was impossible to do. Nice ! The next day when I returned Lew had a car picked out for me based on what I told him I wanted. It was a great match. Nice ... again. Used cars are usually going to have some sort of normal issues, because quite frankly, they're used. Lew put me at ease when he said "We can clean them and fix them, but we can't make them brand new." Honest on top of honest with a side of honesty. My 2003 Nissan had two very minor issues ; one was taken care of while I was signing papers, the other a week later. The kicker is that I forgot about the second minor issue until Lew called me. I really thought he was mistaken, but that's the great service I'm writing about. During the test drive I felt and heard three mechanical concerns that I knew were not in need of immediate attention. My mechanic, the day after I bought the car, confirmed my suspicions and said that these were normal wear & tear repair issues which should be handled individually on three separate visits before inspection. He also said that I got a great car at a great price and should easily be without major issues for four years. I trust my mechanic. He confirmed the trust that Lew and Active Auto earned from me. I bought my car October 31st (Halloween). I waited this long - a week before Christmas - to write my review because I wanted to be more than sure that I made a good purchase with a good dealership. I am no longer sure ; I am POSITIVE I did. Thank you Lew, Rick, and Active Auto Sales ! More
