Let me be more direct than the other negative ratings. The Service Department is fraudulaent, deceptive and warrants a federal investigaton under the Rico Act (look that up if you don't know). One-by-one The Service Department is fraudulaent, deceptive and warrants a federal investigaton under the Rico Act (look that up if you don't know). One-by-one they have driveen away five (5) members of my family -- and now me. In short the experiences have involved: claiming service was needed that in fact was not, charging for services that were not perfomred, charging for replacment parts that were NOT REPLACED, vehcle damage that was coveted up or just not reported to me (until I discovered it upon returning home -- and lastly HUGE overcharges for parts and labor. I only lasted this long because upon purchase of my last vehicle, I told this to the general manager! He promised me that things had changed and to call him directly if I saw any of these problems again. That conversation was conducted to close the deal on purchase of my last car. That was several years ago. So at this point, all I can do is TO STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM. More
I have been going to Acme Nissan for service since 2004. I mostly only took my car there for recall services or if there was a problem with my car that I could not figure out. Here is what I gathered from I mostly only took my car there for recall services or if there was a problem with my car that I could not figure out. Here is what I gathered from my experiences with them... 1. They overcharge you for everything. From parts to labor. They will try to get as much money out of you as possible. (But who wouldn't expect that at a dealership right?) 2. The service managers are not very knowledgeable regarding the vehicles and the service that needs to be done on your car. Time after time, whenever I would speak with a service manager regarding issues with my car, they would always come up with issues that are not applicable to the problems/symptoms I was having. I know this bc one time I was actually able to talk to the mechanic that worked on my car and he told me totally different things than what the service manager told me. Maybe the service managers were just mixing up my car with someone elses. For the amount that you are paying, they should be paying more attention. I recommend talking with the mechanic rather than the service manager to prevent confusing yourself on what needs to be serviced on your car. 3. Acme Nissan Service Department is supposed to be the "expert" on figuring out what is wrong with your car, right? Wrong. A few times that I have taken my car there bc I could not figure out the issue, they were totally clueless on how to fix it. On this one particular occasion, to make matters worse, not only did they told me that they could not figure out the problem, but they would need to charge me $97 for every hour that they were trying to figure out the problem. Sounds fishy right? I told them they have 1 hour to figure out the issue. This was around 11am when they told me this. They never called me back, so I called them around 4pm to see what was up. I was told they were so busy that they didn't have a chance to call me and that they "think" they know the issue, but it will cost another $130 to see if it is that issue at all. And it if it is that issue, it will cost another $800. If it isn't that issue, well thats $130 down the drain (in addition to the $97). I opted not to have them look at my car any further. Acme Nissan likes the idea of "shotgunning" parts until they find out the real issue bc they get paid for the parts and labor. But I would recommend just going to a local mechanic that you trust bc they can do the same exact thing for a lot cheaper. 4. The people in the Acme Nissan Service department seem to be nice people, but how far does them being nice get you? Not very far and a whole lot poorer. Their customer service needs to be worked on and I recommend that Acme Nissan takes a step back and re-analyzes their practices. After my latest experience with Acme Nissan, it has accumulated to a point where I will not be doing business with them again, mostly because of their business practices and the feeling of being ripped off everytime I go there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! More
One Word....RIP OFF. If you go there, then be prepared to pay 200% more then your local workshop. People at service desk pretend to be co-operative but they will rip you off for sure. VERY VERY Expensive and pay 200% more then your local workshop. People at service desk pretend to be co-operative but they will rip you off for sure. VERY VERY Expensive and will leave you with no choice. Not at all flexible and doesn't understand customer pains. Be ready to PAY A VERY VERY HIGH PRICE if you go there. More
I think they are a great scam dealer. My mom was recommended for the same repair over two consecutive oil changes for her Pathfinder. For my Altima, I knew I had a stuck thermostat, but they wanted recommended for the same repair over two consecutive oil changes for her Pathfinder. For my Altima, I knew I had a stuck thermostat, but they wanted to do recommend other work because they found 'goo' in the radiator. No kidding, that's what they wrote on the invoice. No need to go here unless you're on vactaion visiting and your car is overheating and must be repaired. I couldn't make the 180 drive back to Maryland otherwise. More
I called the service department to find more about the service charge that I was not sure of. The guy who answered my call did not give me the answers that I was looking for, so I asked for the manager. service charge that I was not sure of. The guy who answered my call did not give me the answers that I was looking for, so I asked for the manager. He said he was not there now. So I aked for someone superior than his position. He put me on a hold, and after a while, THE SERVICE MANAGER WHO WAS NOT THERE 5 MINUTES AGO, was on the phone talking to me. Ok, fine. Tom Bradley, the service manager explained about the charge, but I still wasn't sure about the charge, so I asked him back with more questions. At one point, he was laughing, so I said, "Are you laughing at me?" and he said, "No I am laughing at what you said." I am not a person who knows about cars, and my questions might be funny for someone who is an expert about cars. But that person, happened to be the service manager at the dealer, CAN NOT laugh at a customer, or at his comment. Horrible service. Lack of proffesionalism. I am not recommanding them to anyone. Pricy. Asking more than what they should do. They Pricy. Asking more than what they should do. They eventually fix it but who knows what they have actually changed. I left my car there and they t Pricy. Asking more than what they should do. They eventually fix it but who knows what they have actually changed. I left my car there and they told me what they had changed but later on I realized that they had changed only couple of small plastic connection parts and asked me to pay for the entire new part which they didn’t changed. Try to make me understand for their convenience regardless of the fact. Finally, it always takes time. Oil change? Usually takes more than 2 hours regardless of whether you have an appointment or not because everybody has a same appointment time. More
I have purchased (3) vehicles from Acme and my daughter has purchased (2). The reason for this has been the courteous fashion and superb service we have received in the past. I have never had a problem w has purchased (2). The reason for this has been the courteous fashion and superb service we have received in the past. I have never had a problem with this dealer. The owner PJ also took the time to ask us if we were satisfied in all aspects of their sales and service. I will continue to do business with this organization as long as the quality of their service remains as it has been over the last 20 years. Tom Bradley of the service department has always been responsive to my needs. Bill Susan the sales rep. was courteouos and informative at all times even though it looked as though I was procrastinating. More
