We had a very good experience with Rebeccah. She was responsive to our email questions, very knowledgeable about the product, and took as much time as was needed to help us find the right vehicle. We f responsive to our email questions, very knowledgeable about the product, and took as much time as was needed to help us find the right vehicle. We felt the price was fair and that we were well treated. She was upfront with all costs involved and generally very pleasant to deal with. There were no surprises at signing. We also had a very good experience with the finance manager. Based on our overall experience with Ackerman Toyota, we would recommend them to others. More
I was deceived by Mr. Stephen Thomas and his boss. After looking at my Toyota Prius, Mr Stephen qoted a price he would give me for my car. $16,300.00. He and I agreed on that price. Mr. Stephen wrote the looking at my Toyota Prius, Mr Stephen qoted a price he would give me for my car. $16,300.00. He and I agreed on that price. Mr. Stephen wrote the price down on paper. I owed $1925.00 more than the quoted price. Mr. Stephen instructed me to get a cashiers check for the amount and the title and return to the dealership to complete the sale. I returned to the dealership approximately on hour later with my car title and a cashiers check for the obove amount. Mr. Stephen then stated that he would need $2000.00 more from me because he could not buy the car at the price he originally quoted. I asked to speak with his boss. Another gentleman entered the office and was extremely disrespectful and insulted my intelligence many times over. No apologies were given on the misrepresentation of the initial quote. They went so far to let me know without hesitation that THEY were doing ME a favor and I should be thankful as in reality THEY are the customer and I was not since I was not purchasing a car from their dealership. I was extremely insulted. They instructed me to take my title, my cashiers check and my keys, because there was absolutely NO way the were going to honor the original quote! And that is just what I did. Neither gentleman shook my hand, apologized for the inconvience of getting the title and going to the bank to obtain a cashiers check. Unreal! I will NEVER go back to this dealer. I will also advise everyone I know and don't know for that matter, NOT to patronized this dealership. I am extremely frightened to let my daughter ride in my care inlight of the current Toyota Mishaps. To date, there have been 34 deaths related to inproper acceleration on several toyota models. I will NOT let my daughter become the 35th statistic! I look forward to any feedback your company can provide. Regards, Sara Irlbeck (Business Owner) More
I went to Toyota Ackerman to do a diagnostic test on my 2001 Corolla, since the engine light came on. 15 minutes later the guy comes back to me and says I need a new catalytic converter and that the part 2001 Corolla, since the engine light came on. 15 minutes later the guy comes back to me and says I need a new catalytic converter and that the part and labor would cost around: $1,450. My jaw dropped, I said no and I walked out dazed. The engine light was off when I pulled it out of Ackerman, though I thought they just cleared the code for the catalytic converter and that it still needed to be replaced. I called around and after finding a price of $289 for part and labor at Comb's Auto I took it in. I told them what had happened and after they did an emissions test they told me that the catalytic converter was completely fine. The guy at Ackerman told me I may experience some poor performance and engine trouble if I let the catty go. I did experience some poor performance though this was in no way related to the catalytic converter as they implied. The only thing that may be needed is a few new injectors. Moral: Toyota Ackerman tried to rip me off More

Although he pays a lot of local media guys to do ads for him, don't believe the hype. Instead, shop around, you'll get a better deal. I sent them e-mail asking them to beat an existing quote and was told th him, don't believe the hype. Instead, shop around, you'll get a better deal. I sent them e-mail asking them to beat an existing quote and was told that the quote was impossible to beat (i.e. I must be making it up) - it wasn't impossible to beat, as some other local dealers (note the plural) subsequently beat the quote by over $100. Seems to be the usual St. Louis "city core" attitude, don't expect any reasonable pricing from them ... More
