My appointment was 9am for free Recall service. I called at 12:45pm for status. I was told a list of repairs, treatments, the Recall was not started. Back in September 2022 I brought my F150 in because the the tailgate kept going down on its own and it was damaged when it hit a fence. A gentleman there named German said he would ask Ford if the part could be replaced, I said I’d pay for it and he asked me to be patient. I waited a month and started leaving him messages, and never got a call back. I called and asked for a supervisor, he said he’d check it out and call me back. No call back-it’s been a month. There has been no cover on the tailgate and this weeks rain seems to have damaged the sensor in the tailgate- the dashboard locks up with error “ Active park assist fault”? I’ve brought the truck in twice and left it I overnight and the problem tailgate coming down on its own was verified. This is my 4th F150 and I love the truck, but I can’t even buy the part and now it’s causing other issues. No calls back, maybe I should try a different dealership, Gosch is 3 miles from my home so if they’d just respond that would be great. More
I was told on Friday that my GPS would be resolved by the service technician and to come back on Monday for repairs. On Monday they charged me $179 to diagnose a problem? I love the service area of Gosch Ford Jerman was informative and thorough. They did what they said they would do and had me in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
