518 Auto Sales Sold Me My Dream Car With No Pressure I found this dealership through the USAA Car Buying app. I searched for a used Subaru Impreza over the weekend and after a so-so experience at CarMax I found this dealership through the USAA Car Buying app. I searched for a used Subaru Impreza over the weekend and after a so-so experience at CarMax and a terrible one at Casey Subaru, I headed to 518 Auto Sales expecting very little. When we arrived for our appointment Brian Wagner had our car pulled up out front ready to test drive. They had a 2018 Subaru Impreza 5-door (which is exactly what I wanted) with only 20k miles and one owner. This car was practically brand new. The test drive experience was great and Brian was a super salesman that made my wife and I very relaxed about the whole experience. There were no attempts to sneak in any extras or anything like that. Everything at the dealership was very chill. They offered a decent financing rate but I had already locked in one that was a bit better through my bank so we proceeded quickly to completing the purchase. I was able to easily put some money down with my card, but I think they would have accepted a check or cash as well. Brian let me hop on his computer to grab some extra documents we needed and even let me tie up his phone to clear some last minute things with the bank. Since we were buying the car in Virginia but driving it to our new home in Nebraska they were kind enough to offer sending me the plates when they came in. The whole team there was welcoming and the process only took a little over an hour, then the car was mine. Definitely the easiest and least fraught car buying experience I've ever had. I'm recommending these guys to anyone I see. Thank you again, Wags and the rest of 518 Auto Sales! More

Poor business practices I called about a 2007 GMC 2500 truck with some questions and the person I spoke to was going to get the answers and call me back. Never heard anything I called about a 2007 GMC 2500 truck with some questions and the person I spoke to was going to get the answers and call me back. Never heard anything. Fast forward a couple of weeks. The truck was (and is) still listed on their website for sale so I called them back. I spoke to “CD” who confirmed the truck was there and for sale. I made an appointment to come see the truck on Saturday July 13 around noon. I arrived at noon after an hour and a half drive to be shown the wrong vehicle. When I pointed this out the salesman apologized and said he would bring the GMC out. After about 15 minutes of waiting, he came back and told us they “couldn’t find” the truck. It was on the inventory but the truck and keys were gone. Do, an hour and a half drive for nothing. “CD” apologized and said no one was there they could ask to find out where it was but he would call me Monday (the 15th) and follow up with me tinker me know what was going on. It’s now Friday the 19th and y’all have talked to “CD” as much as I have. Very slipshod operation with subpar customer service. It’s ok though, I ended up at RK and bought a 2016, so it was 518’s loss. Still aggravating though. Maybe one day they’ll find that truck, who knows? More

(my sales associate) suggested I speak to the service department to see what they could do for me. Jasen Killen immediately greeted me and listened to my request and budget. He ended up providing me the best rate I had received out of any of the three service centers I had visited. This was on a Thursday. Today, Friday, he made time to get my vehicle in late in the afternoon, once I completed work, and completed the work before closing time. He is the best mechanic in Chesapeake and I will drive the 30 minutes to 518 Service Center, bypassing many other mechanics, just because of the quality of service, professionalism of the staff, and great rates More
