They've come along ways since we purchased our first vehicle from them 12 years ago. They now operate from a comfortable office and a roomy, paved lot. As before, customers are allowed to roam the lot and inspect the numerous, unlocked vehicles available for purchase. The year, mileage and price of the vehicle is prominently displayed on the windshield helping make the selection process quick and easy. We decided to test drive an Acura MDX. It was brought to the front of the office by a lot attendant. We were then allowed to take the vehicle for a test drive without the presence of a 405 employee. Very trusting. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle the transaction was relatively easy. This included being given a fair price for our trade-in. We were also offered a number of add-ons that we declined with no pressure. We did, however, decide to purchase an extended vehicle warranty that was made more reasonable with a Costco discount. We were able to drive home the vehicle even though we did not have the title to our trade-in vehicle and needed a couple of days to transfer money into our checking account. They were also agreeable to adding some additional fuel to the tank. Thanks to Ken, Tessa and the rest of the staff at 405 motors for a great, no pressure, no haggle car buying experience. Give em a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. More
SOLD A LEMON! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP! My experience with 405 Motors has been a financial disaster. In less than 24 hours my ’04 4Runner purchase went f BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP! My experience with 405 Motors has been a financial disaster. In less than 24 hours my ’04 4Runner purchase went from positive to extremely negative once I realized I’d been “taken” and sold a lemon-- and a really rotten one at that. From day one onward numerous and significant mechanical and cosmetic problems have reared their ugly heads. Namely: TRANSMISSION: *Rebuilt twice* at 405 Motors and *failed twice* in less than 10,000 miles. I have invested over $6,000 in transmission repairs for a vehicle that came with a 30-day power train warranty. BRAKES: Was a safety check ever performed??!! RIGHT FRONT AXLE SHAFT: Damaged beyond repair; needed complete replacement CLEAR COAT AND PAINT: All upward facing surfaces exposed to sunlight had missing clear coat and badly faded paint When 405 Motors repairs had to be redone by their service department—and “redone” was more often the case than not because of unsatisfactory workmanship from the start--customer service became nonexistent. Stonewalling, ducking phone calls, intimating customer fault, and attempting to weasel out of warranties added insult to injury. Worn down over time by frustration and aggravation, I had enough of 405 Motors. I took my vehicle to Magic Toyota in Edmonds for the third transmission rebuild (brakes and axle shaft work too). REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE RELIABLY AND PROFESSIONALLY BY MAGIC TOYOTA’S EXCELLENT SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They “walk the talk” of quality workmanship and customer service. Bottom line: 405 Motors repair work has been shoddy and unprofessional. The service department is a notch above shade tree mechanic. That’s being kind. The cost of repairs to date on my vehicle has been enormous. The vehicle purchase price was $16,000. My out of pocket expenses for repairs have amounted close $10,000 and that’s with two warranties from 405 Motors and not including the cost of a second sunroof fix, this time being repaired properly at Magic Toyota as I write this. Further necessary cosmetic repairs will include a paint job and driver’s seat cover replacement due to leather splitting. Both of these problems were repaired initially at 405 Motors but need to be redone. ALL MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC REPAIRS DONE AT 405 MOTORS HAVE HAD TO BE REDONE. Needless to say, I could have purchased a newer vehicle in much better condition with the money I've put into a 16-year old vehicle! More
I read inspection provided by them, nothing was listed as wrong. Car was certified preowned. Cars ABS fails immediately. Take car to dealership, dealership said entire ABS system failed and is $3,400 repair. wrong. Car was certified preowned. Cars ABS fails immediately. Worst experience I have ever had. More

Test drive was a breeze and no problems taking the car for an independent inspection. The 2017 Tacoma was priced very fairly, and I had done exhaustive research. The 2011 Ram truck that I purchased is a good truck, but there was no price negotiation allowed. The interest rate was “the best available” at over 6%. I recently refinanced at 4.3%. The Etchwise coverage was built in as if I had no option of whether or not to purchase it. I ended up cancelling the Etchwise protection and finally got a refund. I am not at all likely to recommend 405 Motors to anyone as a result of the above. I thought you might like to know what my opinion is of my experience, since you boast one of the best buying experiences. More
