Johnny, general sales mgr was rude, unprofessional, and I would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They have lots of complaints about rude treatment, and I was the subject of his unprofessionalism, spoke u would not recommend this dealer to anyone. They have lots of complaints about rude treatment, and I was the subject of his unprofessionalism, spoke under his breathe about a request I made in jest and was too unsure of himself to say it to my face, so he made the comment passing by me rather than to my face, His general demeanor does not represent himself in a professional way. They told me they were doing me “a favor” by doing my lease buyout paperwork, a total of over $14,000 dollars and his demeanor was disgusting for a professional position he is in. Clean your act up or learn how to speak more respectfully to a female senior customer!! More
Me and my sister contacted Kia of Simi Valley on Sunday, April 21st. The salesmen's who picked up the phone was Josh, a very nice and polite guy. I explained to him about the car that I'm looking for and I April 21st. The salesmen's who picked up the phone was Josh, a very nice and polite guy. I explained to him about the car that I'm looking for and I told him that I have $5,000 down payment and to pay $600 a month out the door for sixty months, Financing. I explained to him that I need all the numbers prior to me coming to the dealer at Simi valley. Josh took the time to check, and he called me back saying I have a great news for you. We can give it to you for the $600 with the $5,000 down. Just come over. I said grate and made an appointment with him. At the appointment they increased the number of payments/months to 84 at $600 a month and the Manager JOHNNY KIA said that he was next to josh when I called the dealership and that i never said 60 months, which was clearly a lie!! because they recording the calls (I will get back to that). JOHNNY started all is sales pitch on us and why we are not understanding, and he give us the car at no profit, and 84 month is what everybody doing etc. etc. The deal that he was offering after he worked so hard, I already got from a different kia dealer without any negotiation. Once I realized the game they were playing, I understudy that we cannot buy the car from them. I don’t mind if the deal that I was asking is not doable for them, then they just needed to say, no we can’t, and I wouldn’t lose my day of work and drive all the way from Tarzana to simi valley and back. 40 minutes after I left the dealer, I received a call from JOSH, and he was telling me that he listened to the recorded call and that it was 60 months!!! We were totally let down and very unhappy by the lack of courtesy that we were treated with by one of the service reps at this dealer. There is only 3 reps at this dealer. Brian, Odín and Sang. Brian and Od courtesy that we were treated with by one of the service reps at this dealer. There is only 3 reps at this dealer. Brian, Odín and Sang. Brian and Odín were great! They’re anlways very courteous to our needs. Especially Brian. Brian is usually the rep who we deal with for any issues we might have with our vehicle. Unfortunately when we needed a new appointment for work to be done, I was connected with a service rep named Sang Bae. Let me tell you, Sang has no business answering phones and helping customers if he’s going to be treating them the way he treated me when I asked for a new appointment! I talked to Sang and was told Brian was out ill. I was fine with that. I then told him that I needed to schedule another (#3) appointment to have my car worked on and he totally declined to do so as soon as I mentioned that I usually work with Brian and that I knew he was out ill. He immediately started acting like a total jerk and declined to make me an appointment and said for me to call back when he was back. I then told him that at that point I just needed an appointment so I could get my transportation situation handled for drop off and he continuously declined to do so and gave me the worst attitude. I think I have ever received at a dealership. I was so angry that I let a day go by before calling back to speak to someone else. I made it clear to him that at that point I just needed an appointment. He could’ve made my appointment under Brian’s name and handled the situation professionally. Instead he totally acted otherwise and this has now cost them a loyal customer willing to drive an hour out of his way for their service. I was doing my best to work with the service reps regarding the issue and was doing my part in scheduling transportation for vehicle drop off and pick up, since we had chosen to continue working with 1st Kia even if it was that far away from us in comparison to the Kia dealer that is only about 5-10 minutes from our house. We were just that happy with 1st Kia after the purchase of our Telluride. I’m sorry to say that even though my issue was taken care of, professionally and courteously by Brian, I will more than likely not be returning to have work done here as long g as Sang is “helping” customers. He definitely needs to realize what his job asks for and how he’s supposed to treat the customers who shows to come to this dealer. There is a lot of competition out there for him to be chasing away the customers they currently have. Sorry for the rant, but service rep/writer, Sang Bae, needs to be mentioned here. More
First Kia in Simi Valley provided outstanding service & support throughout our 2023 Sportage buying experience. Noah was our thoughtful guide in all of the ways that everyone appreciates when it’s time support throughout our 2023 Sportage buying experience. Noah was our thoughtful guide in all of the ways that everyone appreciates when it’s time to get a car. Really helpful without any of that pushy sales thing, taking care to understand our needs, and making himself available through the entire process. Very well informed on all of the details of the cars, and a lot of other subjects too! Johnny, the manager, was great in doing whatever he could to make the deal work for us. In this particular period of car sales, where inventory is incredibly limited and availability is loaded with unknowns, it’s extra difficult at both ends, dealer and buyer – to have it all work out in a way that’s beneficial to both parties. First Kia of Simi, Noah, and Johnny – along with Henry in finance and Juan in sales made that happen. Thanks! More
From February through May of 2020 they refused to perform an engine fire safety recall on my car; they kept blaming "server issues". When my engine began making noise last month I asked about coverage for th an engine fire safety recall on my car; they kept blaming "server issues". When my engine began making noise last month I asked about coverage for the work performed and they lied to me- they said there was none at all. I found the recall notice with the correct terms and brought it in, their service rep Sang refused to even look at it. When I persisted, service manager Greg got involved and his contribution was hostility. He lectured about the length of his workday and the number of appointments they had. He called me a child and then refused to give his own name. Collectively their entire service department prioritized their own convenience over the safety issues their own work failed to resolve. Your service department & manager are unrespectiful and treat women like they are nothing. I asked to speak to a supervisor & he was rude, would not let me talk & just walked away. What kind of customer se treat women like they are nothing. I asked to speak to a supervisor & he was rude, would not let me talk & just walked away. What kind of customer service is that? If I was a man he would NOT have done that! You should review his work ethics. He gets paid way too much for what he does. More
I've been bringing my car here for a few years now and have always had great service.
