We loved working with Dan and his team (family! ) – they were so wonderful and it felt like we were buying from a family member. We ended up trading our Volvo XC90 for a full electric BMW i3 with a ) – they were so wonderful and it felt like we were buying from a family member. We ended up trading our Volvo XC90 for a full electric BMW i3 with a Range Extender as well. So now we have gone totally eco thanks to 1A Auto sales. A million thanks for this seamless transaction. No pressure sales with 1 on 1 attention. Dan was very straight forward with my family. He answered all of our questions without upselling us or providing us with random answers. Nothing short of honest. Dan was very accommodating in helping us coordinate our purchase. We had several questions as we were coming from South Carolina to purchase a Tesla. There is a reason why my family has purchased 4 Prii here All I can say is this place is amazing. My husband and I have purchased 4 cars from these guys over the past decade. Our first vehicle was purchased from them in 2009 which is when we purchased our first Prius. We purchased a 2007 Toyota Prius with 99,000 miles at the time and still have it. Currently at 299,000 miles and still going strong thanks to Dan and his advice to maintain the car. In 2011 my husband and I decided we needed another Prius to save on gas as we both had 100+ mile commutes daily. so we purchased a 2009 with 70,000 miles. That car now has 357,000 miles and still going strong today. In 2017, our daughter got her license so we gave her one of our cars and purchased a new Prius for my husband. 2 weeks ago our son got his license so we decided to purchase another. All of our 4 cars have been nothing but spectacular. Over the years we needed some repairs for our vehicles such as brakes and other minor stuff but nothing major. Anytime we had a question, we would call Dan during their off hours and he always called us back within the hour to help us out. What makes these people stand out is that they truly care. When we bought our first Prius, I left my trunk slightly open which drained my car battery. I called Dan explaining to him the situation so he drove all the way up to Beverly with all of his scanners, jumpers, etc. He checked out the vehicle and showed me that the trunk wasn't fully closed and jumped my car. He drove the car around to make sure everything was ok. That is the true definition of personal service. Even though he was an hour away he responded to me faster than AAA. These people are clearly in the business because they are truly passionate about the product as they provide our family with nothing but A+ service. More
Not what I was expecting I called the owner ( Dan) to inquire about a hybrid Camry he had for sale and told him I would be commuting after work to check it out. I was prepared to pay cash for the car if it checked out. Drove an hour to get to 1a Auto sales and when I asked for Dan I was told he was “Running errands” I was met with a very nice woman who said she was his sister and she was very pleasant and explained some people were out test driving a car and they only had one dealer plate so she got the key for the Camry and we headed out to the lot. The Car was parked in the rear and was covered in pine needles and looked like it had been in that spot for some time. The tires looked really low on air and when she opened the car it had a very musty odor. I tried to open the trunk but the outside latch was broken. His sister had to run into the office and told me to check out the car. I sat in the car and noticed the low tire pressure light was on and then I felt something crawling on me head. I brushed my head and a large black carpenter ant fell into me lap and when I looked down there was a swarm of black ants crawling up my legs. Jumped out to brush them off and noticed at least 25 more on the driver’s floor. At that point I went back in the office to let Dan’s sister know what happened but she was in a conversation with another group of buyers who were listing things they found wrong with their car on their test drive. I had wasted enough of my time and at that point I just walked out and called Dan to tell him about my experience. When I finally got him on the phone to let him know that: 1. The car was obviously not even opened for months smelled inside of musty mold and not prep had been done prior to my seeing the car 2. Tires were low and I was expected to test drive a car with soft tires and low tire pressure light on? 3. Car was infested with ants. His response was. “ I have 35 cars to sell and cannot prep every car everyone comes to see” So there you have it folks, obviously Dan does not believe in: • Presenting his cars in clean condition even though he charges top dollar for his used cars • When you book an appointment to see a car you are on your own as he most likely will not even be there and car will not be prepped for showing for sale. ( Does not care about your time) • First thing I tried “ trunk latch” was broken shows it s a where’s Waldo scenario and up to the consumer to find broken items and cars are not gone through and fixed before sale. Bottom Line: Not impressed…Not impressed at all More
