I had an idea of the vehicle I wanted to purchase in mind when I came to your dealership. Upon arrival I was greeted by your salesman, Bill Dolan. The vehicle I was looking at was a 2007 Kia Rondo that was when I came to your dealership. Upon arrival I was greeted by your salesman, Bill Dolan. The vehicle I was looking at was a 2007 Kia Rondo that was in my price range for what my fiancé and I were looking for. We decided that we liked the Kia Rondo and had test driven 2 others at other dealerships. Bill took us on a test drive, however he knew little about the vehicle. If I wouldn't have researched the vehicle before deciding to make a purchase I wouldn't have learned anything from your salesman. He only talked about the cosmetic features of the vehicle. I was very disappointed with the way he spoke to me about the car. Not only was that an issue however, when my fiancé and I spoke with Bill about how the vehicle had some stains on the seats and obvious drink spills, he agreed to take care of those issues and to make sure that if we decided we wanted this vehicle he would have it cleaned. My fiancé and I discussed the price with Bill's manager, and he agreed that he could knock a couple hundred off of the price however he couldn't go too far. The next day my fiancé and I completed the financing application that was available to us online. I was approved and spoke with a financial manager from your dealership. She informed me that everything would be pushed through I just needed to bring in a pay stub and proof of address. So the following day I obtained those items and brought them into your dealership, because I live in Clarion (located about 1.5 hours away). Bill informed me that the vehicle was ready to go I just needed to sign the paperwork. I met with Joyce (who was the best part of the entire experience at your dealership may I add), and completed all the necessary paperwork. She was very patient and helpful. To my surprise however, the manager that informed me that the vehicle would be knocked down a few hundred dollars wasn't there, so I had to pay the entire asking price. No one else seemed to be aware that he had made that deal with me. I had no time to wait for a vehicle though, so I continued with the purchase of the Rondo. When I went out to the car, I noticed that the spots that were supposed to be cleaned, were not. I said something to Bill about the issue. He told me that he thought it was cleaned out, but it was apparent that it hadn't been. He asked me to wait a few more minutes and he would have someone clean the spots out. Bill then took me to the vehicle and informed me that the rear bumper guard was broken. I asked him if that was something they would replace. He told me no and said that I should just paint over it with Krylon spray paint. I was dissatisfied with that answer, but apparently had no other option since I had already signed all of the paperwork. I left the dealership. My mother in law drove the new vehicle to her home, while I drove my vehicle to her home. She lives about 25 minutes from your Hyundai dealership in Monroeville with traffic. When she got out of the newly purchased Rondo she informed me that the air conditioning was not working. I got into the vehicle to find out what was going on. The AC was blowing out HOT air. I immediately called Bill, my salesperson. He informed me that I would need to drive the vehicle to their KIA dealership in Robinson the following morning. I did just that and after an hour and a half wait, was informed that they needed to order an air compressor. Once again frustrated because I would have to make another long trip back from my home, the mechanic told me that it will take at least a week for the part to come in. I told him that I would need to be scheduled on a weekend to have it replaced. He told me that would be no problem but I wouldn't be able to be scheduled for another 2 weeks then because he had the following weekend off. I told him that wouldn't work for me, and he told me that he would have to see what he can do. Overall I had a terrible experience at your dealership. I felt like I was lied to several times because your salespeople were making false promises. Even after that, 158 point check your dealership apparently does on the vehicles failed, because I still needed to have my newly purchased vehicle serviced the following day of purchasing it. More
Dave's demonstration and information were very thorough. Dave patiently worked with us, and worked out an excellent deal. We bought our last two cars at Cochran, and this recent experience of buying our new Elantra today just makes us want to keep returning in the future. Charlie Smith is an excellent salesman--always made us feel very comfortable without pressuring, and he is very knowledgeable of the products that he represents. He kept in touch with us while we were waiting for our car to come in, and he made a point to be at the dealership today, even though he is usually off on Thursdays, to complete our purchase and then to explain all the details to us about our new car. We would definitely recommend others to him. Likewise, Heather Champion got us through all that paperwork with ease, answering questions, as needed, and also made us feel very comfortable. More
