Don't Waste Your Time! I bought a 2009 Certified Pre-Owned Civic from this dealership on June 21st and I'm sorry to say that while the Sales Team was great, the rest of the I bought a 2009 Certified Pre-Owned Civic from this dealership on June 21st and I'm sorry to say that while the Sales Team was great, the rest of the dealership is seriously lacking good customer service. I was buying the car from out of state (Virginia) and it took them about 2.5 weeks for them to send me my paperwork to title and register my car in VA. This is where the nightmare begins- I had to go to the DMV 4 times (with average wait times of about 2 hours each) to try to get my car switched over from PA. The reasons why it took so long- the dealership messed up the signatures on not only the title of the car, but on the Power of Attorney for the title. After overnighting the paperwork back and forth, the Power of Attorney was still incorrect and the dealership ended up having to call the DMV to figure out how to get me what I needed. Overall, it took over a month from the day I bought the car to get it titled and registered. When I asked for some compensation for my time and for the immense stress, they said "they were sorry that the situation was mishandled but they are unable to give me any sort of compensation." Nevermind that it was complete negligence on their part that caused all of the headaches! So save yourself the headache and buy your Honda from somewhere in Altoona, Bedford, or Monroeville. It's not worth it to go to Thomas in Johnstown. More

Purchased a 2011 Cadillac Escalade I drove 8 hours from Kentucky to purchase a 2011 Cadillac Escalade from this dealership recently and firstly I wanted to point out that Lindsey Shaffe I drove 8 hours from Kentucky to purchase a 2011 Cadillac Escalade from this dealership recently and firstly I wanted to point out that Lindsey Shaffer was by far the best and most informative car sales employee I have ever worked with. She answered all of my hundreds of questions, and if she didn't know something she found out. Unfortunately my bad experience comes from some misinformation I was given by Eric. Both Eric and John that work there claim to have worked with Cadillac and "knew the vehicles." However in my test drive, Eric was listing off features that the vehicle did not have (for example, he thought that it had sensors to detect if you were too close to another car on the highway- the Escalade does not do this...). The biggest piece of misinformation was the warranty. Cadillac's come with 4 year/ 40k mi warranties, which is one of the prime reasons I bought one. The vehicle I got wasn't actually sold/titled until a year after it was manufactured, however it was technically in use (most likely by a GM executive) long before that. The warranties start when the vehicle is in use- not when the vehicle is sold, meaning that the warranty doesn't get "extended" to the actual sales date. Eric and John both told me that it did, however I checked with GM myself and even got the papers to prove that indeed they do not. Eric used this misinformation to upsell me basically, telling me that I had an extra year of warranty when I did not. What upset me further is that when I called in about this, no one apologized and Eric continued to stand my his misinformation even though I clearly proved him wrong with GM's official records on the vehicle. It was basically like going to Best Buy, buying a 1 year old Dell laptop, the Best Buy employee telling you that it has 4 year warranty, you calling Dell, Dell telling you that it has 3 years (not 4), and then you relaying that to the Best Buy employee and the guy telling you Dell is wrong. It is a *MANUFACTURERS* warranty... They are NOT wrong. I was really surprised by how stubborn they were about this... Also- they did not clean out the trunk of the vehicle. The outside was cleaned but when I got home after another 8 hour drive, I had to clean the trunk out myself. The topping on the cake was my phone conversation with John Sycyk. He is extremely rude and literally just said "enjoy your new vehicle" when I told him about the problem I had with the warranty misinformation. Talk about unprofessional... I do not recommend this place to anyone. They are rude and they don't verify information that they tell customers. In other words, they will tell you anything (fact or fiction) just to get a sale. More

Shopping for a New Car After visiting 4 dealerships (Buick, Ford, Toyota, and Chevrolet) we visited Thomas Honda and found their staff extremely friendly and helpful. We took several test drives, even parking the vehicle in our garage, and were very pleased with the automobile's features and performance. They did not have the exact model in stock that we wanted, but they were able to find one and have it ready for us within a week of ordering the car. We liked the navigation and bluetooth features but were having some trouble understanding them. We have returned to the dealer 3 times to have our questions answered, and each time they were extremely courteous and helpful and thoroughly answered our questions. We had some accessories installed at the dealership (remote start and backup warning) and those features work fine. Our overall experience has been totally positive and would recommend them to anyone who was interested in purchasing a Honda. More
